I couldn’t be happier with this scanner! Setup was a breeze, and the sleek design fits perfectly on my desk without taking up too much space. The scanning quality is outstanding, capturing crisp details in both documents and photos. I especially love how fast and quiet it is, even when handling multi-page documents. The software is intuitive and offers great features like auto-cropping and text recognition, which save me so much time. Overall, this scanner has exceeded my expectations and has become an essential tool for my home office. Highly recommend!

    Nice Scanner

I really enjoy this scanner. It has answered some of the complaints that have been written about it: 1) Noisy? Makes a little whirring sound letting you know it's doing the job 2) Not fast? I only scan images that I cherish, scanning hundreds in minutes is not what I need 3) Image quality? I use my computer's photo editing if I want things to look different 4) When photo is placed in the corner as directed, it will cut the margin? It does! I place the original at the center top and adjust the margins after with my computer. I like that the top will stay open while you load, and that oversize items can be layed flat under the cover so you can still scan a portion of the original. I have never used the kick stand. I scan mostly at 300 dpi (higher does not improve my old photos). I was not able to register my purchase because "location" of United States is not a choice in the drop down - what is that all about? No buyer's remorse for me and my requirements.

    Effortless Archiving

I recently purchased the Epson Perfection V39 II Color Photo and Document Flatbed Scanner for my family history projects, primarily drawn in by its promised ease of use. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a game-changing feature in its software: the ability to scan multiple photographs on the bed and have them saved as separate images. Talk about a time-saver! Not only was scanning family documents into PDFs a breeze, but the scanner also offered versatility in output formats like PNG, JPG, and TIFF. The TIFF format proved invaluable when I needed to do some restoration and repair work in Photoshop. Overall, if you're looking to archive old photos and family documents hassle-free, I highly recommend giving this scanner a shot."

    Great Scanner for Windows 11

Great scanner. When my previous scanner on my All-in-one printer wasn't compatible with Windows 11, the Geek Squard made me a short cut but I couldn't scan together more than one page, plus the scan was a jpeg file. This scanner is wonderful. Can scan multiple pages and combine then if a pdf file. I love this scanner and highly recommend. I had to take to Gerk squad to done load the printer driver but once I did was a snap to use.

I bought this scanner to scan some watercolor art to convert to prints. It scans the colors true to the colors in the original art. Very easy to use. I previously was using an “all-in-one” that didn’t scan the colors accurately. This is well worth the purchase. !

I was looking for a scanner to scan hundreds of old pictures. The Epson Perfection V39 II was exactly what I needed for archiving purposes. Connection was a simple USB-A to USB-micro for power and data. The Windows software worked well upon installation. The one-touch scanning made process quick and easy. Scanning a 5x7 color photo took less than 10 seconds compared to the 30+ seconds with an all-in-one printer/scanner I was using before. The only issue is that scanning a B&W photo produced an unusable document. I'm sure using other software would have fixed the issue, but I did not have time to investigate.

Great flatbed scanner from Epson. Setup was easy, photo scans are great. Epson software is okay. Not user friendly compared to previous versions. Great selling point in addition to the good looking scans, you can place multiple photos on the glass and have the scans saved separately. Huge time saver. Good construction considering it is mostly plastic, and a good value at this price point. In addition to the good looking photo scans, the cover expands and can be removed, if you need to scan books or photo albums.

Install the software and you're good to go. The scanner works well, usually automatically detecting the type of item you are scanning. All the power it needs comes through the usb cable so no additional outlet is needed.

Good entry level scanner. Image quality is good and the ergonomics and form factor are excellent. Only complaint is trouble with the scanner software from Epson. You can make it work but it takes patience and some work arounds.

Bought this to scan in some photos for a celebration of life slideshow we were putting together. The quality is great, even on some older photos that weren’t in great shape. The software works well and isn’t hard to install. If I had to pick a negative it would be the speed of the scans. It’s not bad, but if you have a large project or are scanning in hundreds of photos you might want something a little faster.

It's been a long time since ive needed a flatbed scanner. And wow they have come a long way. I always leaned toward Epson for my printers and scanners so I grabbed this one. Super sleek and lightweight. Scans are miles better than the last flat bed I had. Solid purchase.

Does the job. Excellent for the price, but not surprisingly it is fairly slow. Some color photos don't seem quite as warm as in the originals, but they're very close. Still, it's a good scanner.

Canon has stopped supporting scanners on MacOS (confirmed with Canon support) so I chose this one for scanning documents. Document scans are lower quality for grey areas in a document. Small type requires 1200 DPI which is slow. I tried the default 300 and 600 but neither could handle small fonts. Did not test on photos.

I had a CanoScan that pretty much did the same thing as this one except that it was a bit slower and it did not have the software to allow me to export the scans to PDF or sending to Google Drive or email. This is a great feature for me. It's about the size of my 14" laptop and so it fits in my backpack and I don't have to worry about needing to plug it into an outlet. For the price, it's more than what I wanted.
