I am scanning all my pre-digital negatives. The only problem I seem to have is the scanner goes to sleep between pictures when it's scanning more than one. It may be because I'm scanning at high resolution. I have been able to tweak brightness and contrast to "resurrect" some film that wasn't good enough to print years ago. And the Color Restoration feature works very well.

Good scanner easy to use and good quality scan of pictures or documents

I purchased the scanner to scan old photographs, negatives, slides and documents. Thus far the scanner has handled all of the materials accurately and easily. It even scanned larger format negatives (120).

The top light of my old scanner stopped working. I can't really complain, because I bought it 10 years ago. But I needed something else to scan negatives and slide with. This scanner has done a good job. I'm happy it does 35mm and medium format, but wish it did larger transparencies too; however, you pay the big bucks for that. This will work for most of my needs.

This scanner is very easy to learn to use and does its job very well.

I looked at an automatic feeding picture scanner, but decided on this one because it could scan negatives and slides. You can put more than one picture on the scanner and it will automatically identify them as separate files. This scanner will do a variety of scans at an affordable price.

Bought this mainly - okay, almost exclusively - for scanning film. Have not been disappointed. Scan quality is quite good. Interface with included Epson scanning software leaves a bit to be desired and the scanning time can be a bit long, but the quality mostly makes up for these shortcomings. Good value for the price.

I have only used it a couple of times for slides and film negatives. So far very impressed with how easy it is to work with. Exactly what I had been looking for.

I haven't yet utilized the Epson Photo Scanner for my original plan of scanning all my photos to minimize the number of photo albums I have, however I have used it enough to know it is a much better scanner than the one on my All In One Printer. Not only is the quality better, but it also scans larger (in size) photos and documents.

This is one of the best scanners I have used for scanning photos, negatives and slides for personal use. The recognition of multiple photos and the ability to separate them is great. I high recommend this for those who do not want a affordable way to scan their photos, negatives and slides....of course it will scan documents and such as well :-)

This is an excellent scanner for home office use. Functions go above and beyond basic scanners without being too complicated.

Pros: large scanning bed, comes with some masks for film, fast operation Cons: at max settings a scan takes almost an hour, and the UI is a bit clunky here and there Overall: it's a steal of a scanner that I would recommend, and I would suggest buying a few more film masks for 110 format(does cover 35, slides, and few more types)

Needed a dedicated flat bed scanner. Liked specs on this scanner. Once installed, worked as advertised. Software is easy to use. Like the different modes you could use, depending on what you were doing. Everything from manual, to fully automatic modes.
