I bought this scanner after taking the collection of pictures from my father's house of my childhood, his childhood, and even all the way back to my grandparents' childhoods. I find it very easy to use and the pictures look great. I use it for scanning prints and various sized negatives. I've scanned thousands of pictures so far and it's still going strong.

The medium format film guides do not work for strips. Many of us that shoot 6x45 film cut them into 3 strips of 5. The scanner will read them but not with the template in place.

Easy setup, good quality, efficient speed and right price. Overall good value.

it's easy to use, good quality, and a great choice for scanning photos and slides and negatives. no ADF so not the best for multi-page documents, but it says "photo" in the name for a reason...

I was looking for something to scan in slides and this is far better than shipping them out - safer too.

I had this up and running within an hour after taking it out of the box, including a 15 minute download of new drivers for Windows 10. I had one question about getting multiple images from one scan, and the Epson help line walked me through it - resolved in 15 minutes. It handles prints, B&W and color negatives, and slides. Couldn't be happier with the results

I purchased this product to begin scanning and digitizing years of family photos. The directions that came with the scanner were not super detailed but I was able to locate consumer reviews online which helped me navigate. Overall easy to use and setup. I can also scan more than one photo at once which is convenient. Only con I have found so far are it is a little bulky.

I have only used this to scan in documents for a sports team. It works well and the quality is good. The PDF button is very handy.

My wife has been trying to start a scrap book of all of her old photo the scanner works great.

I have wanted to digitize all my slides and pictures. The Epson scanners have always gotten great reviews but were expensive. Now that the price was within my means, I immediately purchased this scanner. It is easy to use and does a great job with my photos. I have also started to digitize all my paper recipes with the OCR software. I definitely recommend this scanner.

Very happy with my purchase. Many options on what and how to scan pictures and slides but very easy to operate. The menu screens are intuitive to use.

I bought this to scan all my old family photos, I like the software it comes with, because it helps cleaning up the old dust particles on pics, Also i have a huge amount of slides and old negatives and this is perfect for it. the reason i gave it 4 stars, its only because of the software, I wish it was a bit more modern and updated. The interface looks like an old Win 95 program.

I'm using this to scan new medium format negatives, so I only do 12 at a time which requires setting up the neg holder 4 times. Quality is good and the process is easy enough. If I was scanning a lifetime of negatives, I think it would be really tedious. There might be better options for bulk scanning. But for my 12 exposure rolls of 120 film it's great.

Purchased the scanner to input negatives, photos and documents into the computer for virtual storage and distribution. The unit is fast and simple to use. It comes with the perfect software to convert documents quickly and simply. It is compact and user-friendly with quick scan buttons for the web. So far I have scanned in about 1200 pics/docs.

I've used Epson scanners for years. This one works as well, if not better, than my previous scanner. Works very well with my PaperPort software.

I purchased the Epson model V550 Photo Scanner based upon previous reviewers high marks. Let me join the crowd - I like the unit and features. I wanted a quality scanner to copy old family photos that was simple to operate. This model fits the bill. I wished there was a means to scan with an automatic feeder but at a higher price point. Anyway I recommend this mid-priced scanner - well pleased.

I have decided to put all of our old family pictures and slides on DVD’s and this scanner has helped tremendously!! Very easy to use and scans multiple items at one time! Love it!

I have just started using to scan photo's out of old albums, it's a slow process but seems easy to operate. So far it seems to be a good buy.

It was easy to set up. I like the fact that you can scan multiple photos at once and they get put into separate files. The colors are sharp and the removal of dust spots has worked well. I have not tried scanning using negatives or slides since I had done those before with another scanner before it broke.

I have only used it for slides, and it works great. Have done over 1000 and used the color correction to fix faded slides. The software has some glitches on a Mac, but if you click on the icon in the apps bar at the bottom, it keeps on going. Average about a slide a minute.
