Don't buy Epson V850 photo scanner

The Epson-Perfection V850 is advertised by all as the best photo scanner currently on the market so I bit the bullet and spent $1200 for it. The driver you are directed to use is incorrect. Fortunately, Best Buy solved the problem. Then, the 35 mm slide scanner apparatus didn't work. Many buyers complained about this issue online and Epson put out potential solutions; they didn't work. I returned it thinking i may have a defective one and ordered another. Same problems so I returned it. There is a lot of flimsy plastic in this thing. I DO NOT recommend buying it. I spent hours trying to figure out the problems. Epson directs you to a service for helping solve the problems; they wanted $49/month before helping. What a racket. I found a company that will scan the slides for $0.49 which prevented all of the headaches I had with Epson V850.
