Customers are delighted by the Powerlite Home Cinema 3500 Projector's impressive picture quality and brightness, along with its surprisingly easy setup and user-friendly interface. Many appreciate the inclusion of 3D capabilities and the convenient lens shift feature. While some users noted the black levels could be improved and the fan can be audible at times, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

Actually this product worked for a few days( might have used only 6-8hrs altogether) and failed, the lamp light were orange with a flashing status light so I had to get it replaced/exchanged since it was withing the 15days period. But otherwise this product is great for my game room which I'm using as a media since its pretty enclosed with a few small windows. So there is light, but this projector works well in the bright room as well.

We've always had a projector in our house, but buying a new one is always scary. We use it for sports and movies so quality is a big thing for us. The second it was hooked up I knew this was a home run. Looks great during the day as well as the night. Take it from a person who's owned multiple projectors this projector is the best one out.

The Epson 3500 projector has by far surpassed my expectations. I really wanted a 4K projector but unfortunately for the price I was wanting a 3-D as well so it was out of my budget. The 3-D quality is amazing and the projectors picture looks good in the light and even better in the dark.

This is a solid projector. It's speakers are weak so make sure you hook it to your home theater.

Crystal clear 170" screen at about 13' from screen,6' off ground.
Can hardly see in daytime with widows open, works best in pitch black. If you try in day time, there is a high power setting but it rides poor fan constantly can you can see ash accumulating on the side vent, so don't have it next to a wall. Haven't had to change bulb in about 3 years, don't use it everyday, but there are occasionally times when I used it for weeks on end, some response lag but not obscene for gaming, but highly recommended.
As for 3d movies, its just like being in the theater, except for those $100 battery operated 3d glasses that charge only lasts for one movie. 3d depends on how the movie was edited, some are spectacular, some, well at least there is at least one or two 3d scenes in the feature film. No digital audio output,so you have to connect it directly to amplifier via HDMI,unless you like hearing entire movie on those rinky-dink built in speakers, which I don't recommend. Also has you question your entire setup and locations of devices which I recommend you have well thought out before jumping in to the projector home theater experience.
Might want to invest in some long >25' hdmi cables.

The 2d to 3d feature doesn't seem to work. It just gets blurry. Everything else is great. Got about a 100" screen now and it is very clear. I would recommend.
