Customers are delighted by the Powerlite Home Cinema 3500 Projector's impressive picture quality and brightness, along with its surprisingly easy setup and user-friendly interface. Many appreciate the inclusion of 3D capabilities and the convenient lens shift feature. While some users noted the black levels could be improved and the fan can be audible at times, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

Picture quality and light oup is outstanding!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the Box First off let me start off saying what a lighthouse the 3500 is! My HT is light controlled with painted walls, ceiling and the 3500 is calibratedin Natural, Super-Resolution on 3 with power set to Eco. Over the years I my HDTV viewing has increased a lot over just using the HT for movies and big sporting events so this time around I wanted more light output with the lights on. I’m projecting on 88’ Carada Classic Cinema White (1.0 gain) screen and the image pops! This is my first LCD pj as I’m a DLP guy but decided it was time to switch it up after my Sharp color wheel stated acting up so far I’m very pleased with my choice so far. Impressions Out of the box the 3500 PQ is impressive in Natural & Cinema the others were so bright I did not bother to evaluate them. After playing around with a few Blu-ray’s and shows on the DishNet Hopper I put inthe WOW disk to calibrate and went with the calibrated CMS from Projector Reviewsthen put in the same BR’s and the PQ stock went up. I read the reviews on black level performance along with what has been posted here and I can live with it although my last pj had better black levels. Last night I watched the Pro Bowl on ESPN so many emotionsran through me as it was the BEST live broadcast sporting event I ever seen inmy home! It was simply beautiful, no artifacts or noise from compression likethe broadcast feeds from Fox (the worst IMO) CBS and I have to say NBC is pretty clean but ESPN was amazing! My old pj provided a sharp picture which DLP’s are known for, the 3500 is a lot sharper than my old pj and I do love a sharp picture that does not look CGI-ish. The Super-Resolution feature is a must have for me especially coming from a DLP; I do not believe this is a gimmick; itreally enhances the picture vs distorting it. I do believe I’m falling in lovethe more time I spend with my new toy. 3D Impressions I said in an earlier post how I’m not a fan of 3D unless done right, plus my wife and son are not into it, but I decided test drive this feature with Avatar and the 3D was flawless! It is pretty amazing to have thesame features in your home from picture & sound in your home the local AMC has. I won’t be using 3D since my Integra DTC-9.8 Pre/Pro does not support 3D and I can live with that until I upgrade to UHD components in the future. Conclusion I have spent 43 hours with the 3500 so far nothing but love and she is a keeper! My next thing to do is mount the 3500 to the ceiling my old universal mount only has three legs so waiting on a new one to arrive, shoutout to member MississippiMan for the help on a mount. I picked the 3500 b/c it has Super-Resolution feature over the 3000, the features on the 3600e I did not need so the 3500 was right for me. Last something new coming from DLP to LCD, the 3500 has no cool down mode that I’m use to for years when turning off the pj, I thought I had a defective and was disappointed I may have to return it. I hope thoughts helped anyone on the fence thinking about adding a 3500 to your set-up, the 3500 is a fantastic machine although not perfect but the pros outweigh the cons.

Outstanding Entry Level Cinema
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with this unit's performance. Had read the reviews which included "Best Entry Level Home Cinema on the Market". Contrast, Resolution and Brightness are suprerior, with features similar to true home cinema projectors costing thousands more. We watch it just fine with the blinds up on a sunny day.

I had no idea how awesome these projectors are.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had never seen one of these in use and had every intention of using a 75" TV in our home theater. Decided to try it on a hunch since it is a fraction of what the TV would have cost. Two minutes after setting it up and turning it on we knew this was never going back. We have a 130" picture that is absolutely incredible. The 3D is theater quality. Couldn't be more impressed.

Very nice projector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the projector. The clarity was awesome. And there was no distortion. Unfortunately I did return this projector because it put out a bit too much light for my room. I do not have any outside light and this was a factor. Keep this in mind when buying projectors for media or theater rooms. The high lumen count is not always a good thing. Bought the Sony 45ES instead which has 1800 lm instead of 2500. Gave me an awesome picture while keeping the theater room feel.

Great projector for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector is great for the money. We use it in our movie room. Image quality isn't quite what I'm used to but I think that's because I usually watch a 4k TV.
