This projector is awesome we use it everyday as our living room television. Super bright crystal clear picture. Looks as good if not better then any 1080 HD TV available. Best buy lowered the price 3 weeks after I bought it and never argued with me for the refund. Great product and best buy has excellent customer service and support. Thanks again BB.

Have had this up and running in my home theater room for about a month now and am very pleased with everything. Picture is great, it is mounted on the ceiling right above where we sit and I can't hear the fan. The kids and I LOVE playing Xbox on the giant screen and there's no noticeable lag when playing multiplayer. I should note that this room has no windows and all the lights are dimmable. If there were windows I definitely would have gotten a large LED instead.

It's hard to find any fault with this. I guess watch out for the mounting bracket if you plan on doing a ceiling mount. I could not find a single "universal" bracket that would fit this massive projector. Had to order a custom one. That's of no fault of the projector, just wanted to make potential buyers aware. Picture is stunning. I have on a 100inch screen in a dedicated theater room. I can stand a foot away from the screen, and it still looks better than my plasma Samsung flat-screen. I do notice the fan seems a little louder than normal when doing 3D movies. But it does not detract in the least bit to everything else the projector is capable of. Comes with two excellent Epson brand 3D glasses. Amazing projector!

This was an awesome purchase that we made for entertainment! The quality of the pics/images/video is very clear. We project against the wall (standard paint) and it is still clear so I cant amagine the quality with a real project screen or paint!

I have been saving for a 4k TV for a while, but my wife convinced me to go for the projector. We have a basement which is perfectly suited for a home theater--only one window, built in speakers, and a shelf for component equipment--so it made sense to me. We are projecting the 5030ub onto a 120" Elite Screen (also from Best Buy and also great) with a throw distance of 13 feet. The image quality is flat out amazing. We prefer the "living room" factory setting over the THX. Regular HDTV looks good, but blu-rays make me feel like I'm in a real theater. I was very skeptical about a 1080p image that big, but it's like having the world's largest plasma TV in my basement. I can't wait for 4K someday, but this is wonderful in the meantime. Don't hesitate to buy. Plus, it's now $200 cheaper and there is a firmware update which makes the images even better. Not every house is suited for a projector, but for $2500 I have a 120" TV that is $5000 cheaper than 85" TV's. For the price, the 5030ub is hard to beat!

This is my second projector of this model. I was so happy with its performance I bought it again when we moved. Great value and a great picture quality. I have not used the 3D aspect though, so cannot comment on that.

I did quite a bit of research and was prepared to buy another brand. However, over and over again I was told to get an Epson. So we purchased this model. The picture is awesome and covers the entire 110 inch screen.

This projector is a little on the large size, but it works great for my dedicated theater room. Mounting it was easy and focus and picture adjustments for vertical, horizontal, and throw were all easy to manipulate to fit perfectly on my 106" screen. Blu-ray movies look incredible and the 3-D function works really well, kids love it. Overall this projector does everything it states it will with ease.

This projector met all of my expectations. The 3D view is like being in the theater. It is very bright and clear. I chose this projector after reading many reviews of projectors and I am very happy with my selection.

Outstanding picture! I upgraded from an old 720p projector and use this in my bar/home theater room. Amazed by clarity of the picture. Blacks are very nice and distinguishable. Very low light area most of the time and picture is very high quality. Even when I have light on in this area the picture still is very good quality. Recommend even at the higher price over any comparable option.

I went through 3 epson projectors before settling with this one. Picture is incredible. Even with ambient light. Don't pay more for the Sony. This one will rock your world!!

ITS THE BEST PROJECTOR I EVER HAD. IT IS BRIGHT AND VERY CLEAR AND HAS A VERY HIGH CONTRAST RATIO WHICH MAKES THE NIGHT SCENES LOOK GOOD.
