This projector has a great picture. I was worried after reading some of the bad reviews (not many but a few). I have not had any problems and the picture is great. I am a big fan of Epson products.

I have been really happy with my new projector so far. A relative of mine bought the same one a couple years ago and it still works great. I knew I wanted the same product. I debated between this one and the 3D option; however, my store didn't stock the 3D models and I didn't want to wait 10 days for a shipment. I haven't missed the 3D feature. This projector is awesome for the price and features.

Projector for our home theater room

    |

We are using this in our theater room on a wall with a painted screen. It is working great and we are very happy with the picture. We placed it 12' from the screen wall and get about a 110'' picture. We are going to move it back a foot or two but haven't yet but don't expect any change in picture quality. Our room is very dark with no windows. Not sure it'd be as great if there was light in the room.

Very good projector for the price

The brightness and the color of the picture are very good. The brightness of the picture are very good in normal room light and even better in a semi dark room. The only problem that the installer had was getting the projector low enough to get the picture the same width on the bottom and top of the screen because the projector does not have a keystone adjustment.

    Awesome projector

I stumbled upon this projector as an ' open box' deal. It shaved a few hundred off the price putting it in my range. I have to say it has been worth every penny. The picture quality is stellar and it ends up being 90 inches wide. Works better in a dark room (duh) and no screen needed. Picture is just as good on my painted wall. I installed this myself and it was not that bad.

Great projector for the price, easy to set up

I shopped around for a projector on line and found this projector was one of the highest rated on many legitimate review sites. Since BB had a good price, I decided to buy it from them and I couldn't be happier with the unit. I'm using in a theater room with no windows and a huge white wall (no screen). The picture is amazing! For the price, it's an exceptional value.

    Good resolution,brightness and contrast.Good value

I purchased this projector to replace my old Toshiba (~8 yo) on my home cinema. My main problem was the low resolution on RCA video feed while watching the World Cup. I was impressed with the brightness I get with the Epson 8350, even with the lights on. Contrast is also good, and blacks are very good. Initially I told the BB sales person that I would try it and see if I would want to keep it, but I'm definitely keeping it. I am satisfied with what I got for the price, as I'm not willing to spend 3-5K on a home projector.

I specified this projector in my brother's home theater then bought one myself. It's very good for the price. Set up is easy, placement is flexible and it's easy to tweak to get a good looking picture. Professional calibration would probably yield finer results though I haven't had that done . . . yet. The auto iris is not noticeable at all and definitely yields better black levels so I would recommend leaving it on. The black levels are good but not as deep or rich as some of the more expensive competition. There is no motorized zoom or focus but none of this should be a surprise at this price point. I don't think you can find better at this price.

Great multiuse projector, kills the Optoma HD20!

    Posted .

Amazing picture right out of the box! Great features such as vertical and horizontal picture adjustment, unlike the Optoma HD20 that needs the entire projector moved. It is bigger than the Optoma, but this is quickly forgotten when you see the amazing picture. Gaming, movies, or TV...continue to be impressed and love this projector more and more everyday! Do yourself a favor, BUY THIS PROJECTOR!!!!

This projector has multiple inputs which makes it very versatile. The one feature missing has to do with the HDMI input. The projector has HDMI input which is a great feature. The projector is lacking an audio output that can be hooked to an auxiliary amplifier. My customer has a laptop that has HDMI output but because the projector does NOT have a audio out for the HDMI they have to have a second audio cable to the audio amplifier. Other than that this projector produces a very sharp picture.

    Completely Worth It!!!!

I had done my research before buying this projector and the only thing I was worried about was whether it would be to bright in my living room from the outside light. I learned very quickly that wasn't an issue. Even with all of the lights turned on in my living room, I could still see the image on the screen perfect. The size of the projector is a little big and you have to manually focus it but all the other features completely out weigh those 2 issues. It is very quiet to the point you can't hear it running. It is a great price compared to other projectors I looked at. The screen is set at over 10 feet in my living room and even on a bare off white wall it looks spectacular. Have no doubt, this is the projector to get.

The guy who set my projector geek squad measured the hdmi short and I am very disappointed on the result. For the price of installation it is not worth it. They promised me that he will give me another one but until now I have not receive anything yet ( 4 weeks ago) I expect them to be more professional Anyway, I love my projector good quality picture and planning to get another one for my living room. I will need to find another installer aside geek squad.

    Waoo, Blown Away

Amazing projector, i have been reading reviews for the last 6 months and doing my research. I was finally sold to the Optoma HD20 until came across this baby. Its Huge when you open the box, makes you think you paid 5k for it. The quality it awesome for being affordable 1k projector. Very easy to mount and not a lot of adjustments to do. I have it with a 115 inch screen, not a black diamond but very similar, and more affordable. Im using the new Pioneer 7.1 with Infinity speakers, i feel like on a real theater. I finally have my dream come true, to have a theater in my home. My only complaint is that to get the best out of this or any projector you have to have someone calibrated. I wish they would give more information on that but hey the Geek squad will be out of business, They just charge too much. Anyway this is about the projector so don't think about it and buy it, get the extended warranty and sit back relax and enjoy it, you work hard and you deserve that and more.

Projector is used in our modest home theater. Could not best the price. Thought I was getting trade-offs when buying something at under $1000. Boy, was I wrong. If I were you, and you were in the market, you need to check this unit out and keep it on your short list.

Great performance, especially for the price.

I replaced a 7 year old Benq projector with this Epson. After some work running the HDMI cable, and a different piece for my Chief mount, this projector was easy to set up and get working. The manual focus/picture shift was easy to use, and I don't have a problem with that feature being manual, instead of via a remote. For something you use very little, I am sure it helps keep the cost down. The Epson is only slightly larger than my Benq so the size wasn't an issue for me. The picture quality on 720p is very good, and 1080p is simply excellent. I have a somewhat light-controlled room, but I was always hesitant about using the Benq during the day. The Epson is about 33% brighter, and there are no issues with using it during the day. And I don't even have to put it in bright mode to do so. You can spend a lot more money on a projector, and I have, but I feel that for all but the most scrutinizing video enthusiast, this projector should deliver a great experience!

After reading many reviews on different projectors I chose the Epson 8350. I figure I got the most bang for my buck. I am very happy with the way it works. Family movie night has turned into a wonderful experience on my 164 inch screen. the picture is clear and sharp.

This Epson offers exceptional picture quality, and can easily accommodate various screen sizes being mounted from a short distance. Also, the noise level (fan) is very low compared to other projectors. My original purchas of this unit, made two years ago, was destroyed by a lightning strike. I replaced it with the same unit because I had been so pleased with the performance up until that point.
