This projector is hot!!! Blows hot air making the room I had it in very hot. It was also super loud and I had the hardest time connecting my sound bar to it. I returned this item and got one on Amazon for 150 and it works exactly the same for a lot cheaper

Great for work, more than sufficient for videos!

I know that this is not an entertainment projector, but even for work situations, videos still need to be played, or SOPs (standard operating procedures) may be complemented with a short video that needs to be played explaining the procedures/instructions. Even PowerPoint presentations with visuals have some sort of movement. With that being said, as a presenting projector, it is the best projector that I have ever used for this price range and for a 1080p projector. I've set this up for my work as I actually present a lot to coworkers and clients for trainings. With covid, in-person training isn't as frequent, but especially with going back to the office, this proves useful. Even just to test for the fun of it, I connected a Nintendo Switch and also a Nintendo 64 to try it out. I'm not particularly picky, but they work fine for me! Barely any lag, but there is some which is expected. Again, this projector isn't even meant for entertainment, yet it still does the job in a basic sense. And for the price point, really can't complain for what it's able to do and produce. It's a buy in my book.

As we transition back to the office, this projector has been a God-send. It's easy to set up and has the most impressive image quality of any projector I've used. In a pinch you can connect this to your phone and share your phone screen, but it really shines when connected to my computer with an HDMI cable. The projected image is very bright-- I don't even need to dim the lights for it to be visible. the image actually rivals a TV in brightness and quality. The included remote makes controlling easy, so I'm not tethered to my laptop when giving the presentation. I'm very happy with this product.

    Epson, The Pioneer!

Epson is the leader in projectors at home and at the office. This projector focuses simply on what you need for a presentation or on the go. Size/weight: In my opinion the EX7280 is for on the go user or someone who will need a unit that will be moved on occasion. While this unit can be ceiling mounted I feel as though it’s made to be moved because it’s light weight yet stills packs a punch. It’s your typical size projector but simple and light to be on the move. Yes, the carrying case is included! Connections: It has simple connections for a versatile plug and go experience. One HDMI in, VGA, RCA. The three simple ports that you need to get the job done. These are always the three ports that you need and some times you don’t always have HDMI even in today’s world or you need a back up solution (VGA/RCA). Light/Image quality: The 4000 lumens is good and strong for your typical projector. I would like to see it a little bit brighter as when you have a big group in a larger room with the lights on who need to read what’s being displayed it can be difficult. However this projector gets the job done. One may have to turn some lights off depending on how big of a screen you need displayed which this can do up to 300”. WXGA is good and crisp for presentations and work I would not recommend it for the 4k experience but rather the work place experience. This is rated at 1280x800 which is not 1080 HD but very close. To be honest though I couldn’t tell a difference with it being a projector. Color and clarity seems to be pretty accurate for a business focused projector. Controller: If you have ever used an epson projector in like the last 10-15 years then you already set because this is pretty much the same. Which is good. I like being able to use the remote quickly and not have to worry with what I have to push. Device buttons: These are the buttons on top of your projector. Like I said with the remote if your used to epsons projectors than you will be fine as they are pretty much the same through out there devices (even home media ones). Simple and what is displayed on the button is what it does. Overall I recommend this projector for the on the go business person. Maybe your always on the go and don’t know when you will need it or not or possibly you are alway switching offices or classrooms and need a bright lightweight and easy to use projector. If so this is for you. If you are mounting this projector to your ceiling and are having tons of connections and audio going in and out then I would look for a more qualified projector for that class. If your buying this to watch movies I highly suggest looking elsewhere and going for 1080p quality or higher and with options for audio output.

Great Business Projector but resolution is low

I like where this business projector is going. It has a built in wireless connection which allows my staff the ability to download an app and stream from their smart phone. This makes it extremely useful. We often rotate multiple users in our conference room and had to get the logged into their profile before a meeting or connect their laptop prior. This reduces that complexity by having a mobile app. So just as long as we have the presentation, document, etc on that then the process is smooth. Also I like the digital whiteboard feature where you can mark up the slide in real time and save it. Additionally it has a nice bright picture no matter how much light is in the room you can see a bright crisp picture. Now to what I do not like. I had a hard time reading text on a power point presentation since the resolution is not even 1080P. It is hard to make out. I wish that was the minimum resolution for an office projector. Also the Fan's were pretty loud and it would be nice if that was quieter. Otherwise I like how Epson keeps adding modern way's to interact with their projectors and the focus on not only brightness but the color brightness makes a big impact in the final displayed image. Finally the image auto adjusts for a pretty straight image without the need to mess with the keystone adjustments. Huge plus. Pro's: Bright picture Wireless connectivity for streaming HDMI Input Wireless streaming is pretty responsive Privacy shutter built in Con's: Resolution struggles on text and some video playback during a teams meeting. fan is noisy In summary this is a great Business/Home Office projector unless your doing text heavy presentations then I suggest looking at a higher resolution model.

    Epson knows projectors

I have multiple uses for projector. I use for business presentations about 50% of the time and watching movies with my family the other 50% I have found this projector to be excellent at both. Epson really knows how to make a great projector You don’t have to shut the lights off to present of view video with this projector, 4000 lumens allows you to sit in a room that doesn’t feel like a cave while watching. I connected a streaming device to the HDMI port and connected the video out to my stereo for a home theater experience. My kids love it! Setting this up is a fairly straight forward experience providing you have some familiarity with projectors and know the terminology. I found the quick setup guide read a bit like you already had that familiarity so for someone who hasn’t used one of these before, you will need some extra time to figure things out. One thing I did notice is that when I initially turned it on, the fan was super loud, but after a few minutes, it quieted down to where I could not hear it. One nice touch that I have not had on my previous projectors is an air filter that slides into a side slot. This should be really effective at keeping the dust out. Overall, I am very impressed with this projector for both professional and home use. I would recommend it.

This projector has a very bright 4000 lumens output and the image in WXGA is very sharp and clear. Even in daylight the picture is bright and clear. This would have absolutely been perfect had miracasting been included. I don't understand why that was omitted in the final design as this is a board room projector and Miracasting allows anyone with a phone, computer, or tablet to connect their media to the projector wirelessly. Of course you can connect via HDMI but phones and tablets prove a little more tricky. Having an HDMI input allows you to add a dongle with miracasting but a baked in solution is always preferred. Auto keystone allows for a straight projection with minimal effort. I like how well it can project from just a table. Mounting is optional but not necessary and that's great. It a very nice office multimedia experience.

The Epson Pro EX7280 3LCD WXGA is a great resource for any office. I noticed with my last one and now reaffirmed with this one that Epson needs to make WIFI enabled a standard feature on all of their devices. I just find that when setting up my presentations, that connecting to my project material takes additional preparation time. In today's time this is an unnecessary waste of time with all of the options for "SYNCING" devices that are available. I do not like that I have to use the only HDMI port for a syncing device (Chromecast in my case). Aside from that this unit is really exemplary! I gave a presentation in to a handful of staff members in a smaller sized conference room and had zero issues. My first concern was, is this Epson going to be loud enough for all to hear and much to my surprise it was. Previous models sounded much quieter to me. But we were able to hear well enough even over the ever-present gentle hum of a projector's fan motor. The picture was very vibrant so much so that I purposefully added brilliant and bright images of nature scenery to make my presentation points POP. The unit does get a bit warm but again this is normal, and it does not get excessive even after prolonged use. The clarity of the screen was impressive and was picture perfect at all field of view sized screens I used it on. We did have a Teams virtual meeting that we played around on by displaying the meeting on a large interior wall and still the picture was as clear as a high-end TV or monitor. The unit is light and convenient to travel with as it even comes with a padded carrying case. The Epson delivers a beautiful & bright picture with much improved inner speakers.

I have owned many different projectors over the years, several of which have been Epson. The Pro EX7280 exceeded even my heightened expectations based on my prior experiences with Epson. Initial setup is simple and intuitive which is important for me as I am using this projector in multiple different environments for presentations and Zoom meetings. Color rendition and picture resolution are far above average for a business projector. I have used this one at throw distances ranging from 5 to 12 feet. Obviously the farther away you are the dimmer the picture will be, but even at my usual 8-9 foot throw distance, the picture is bright and clear enough that doesn't get blown out by the harsh overhead lighting in our conference rooms. The built-in speaker is adequate for small rooms, but I tend to send the audio output to external speakers so all involved in meetings/presentations are able to hear clearly. On quiet mode, the fan is extremely quiet although not totally imperceptible. In normal mode, the fan noise is noticeable but not overpowering. I haven't tried streaming anything other than video conferences, but I could imagine movies would look pretty good using this projector. It won't be equivalent to a true home theater unit but that's not what the Pro EX7280 was designed to do. For a relatively portable business projector, I can't find any real faults with it and would highly recommend it if you are in the market.

I really enjoyed the newest from EPSON - I have owned other 3LCD projectors in the past, the newest being just over a year old. While I appreciated the integrated wireless in this new unit, I didn't notice much of an improvement in image quality, brightness, or positioning options. The projector is smaller in footprint, and will make a wonderful portable unit, and is much lighter overall. Some of that weight reduction came from feet and controls that seem made of lighter more brittle plastic than before. Hard plastic has replaced rubberized feet, and the mechanisms felt clumsy rather than smooth on adjustment of height. One thing that seemed to work better was they keystone control. I noticed this was much better due to having a manual control right on the unit to "quick adjust" it without fumbling through controls in the menus. I did all of my projection tests using wireless methods - Sending 1280x800 resolution to the projector (actually an Apple Retina signal of 2560x1600, but emulating 800p scale) the results were sharp and bright - Contrast was good, as I fully expected from EPSONs 3LCD tech... No complaints there. Really pleased with the Miracast/iProjection capabilities. I wouldn't stream video over this thing but being able to set up the projector and not dangle an HDMI cable and adapters (again, Mac) was a real benefit to quick business projecting. I was also able to hook up a Google ChromeCast with Google TV dongle to the unit, and it did an excellent job (at a distance) with playing high definition content using a simple dongle (The Chromecast w/GoogleTV or a Roku is a good solution here as it's one-piece and includes a remote for TV tuning). I was impressed that the projector produced decent audio and could be used as a makeshift TV in certain scenarios (in a pinch - The video resolution and sound quality isn't going to please cinephiles!) I'm pleased to add this unit to my portable arsenal as my new go-to-projector in the field.

This projector has been a valued addition to my business and mobile marketing uses. It's super portable, light-weight, setup is simple with HDMI connection and turn-on/warm up is super quick. I own an run a small business and have used this for traveling marketing presentations, it even comes with a nice shoulder strap carrying case for traveling with it. Screen size can be easily adjusted to any size space and it has automatic keystone correction which makes setup much quicker and easier when you're constantly moving it. Resolution is crystal clear wxga which is basically a wide format 720p. I do business presentations on the go and even use it some just as an enormous computer monitor to do busy work from the couch. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and simple to setup mobile projector for business or personal use. You can also browse and surf websites wirelessly directly from your phone or tablet utilizing the free epson app which is really a nice and neat feature.

Received my review unit a week ago and have been putting it through its paces at work. First off this projector has a very solid and sturdy build quality. It comes with the power cord, remote with batteries, documentation, and a carry pouch. This particular model is for business use, which is great for me using with my clients for their presentations. The resolution is 1080 and the picture quality was very crisp and sharp. On the back of the projector is is a USB port, Ethernet port, red/white/yellow audio/video ports, VGA connector as well as an HDMI port. The VGA and HDMI ports are mainly the ports we used during our group sessions. The auto keystone worked flawlessly and was able to fine tune itself for the most part. The speaker is not that loud, so if you’re doing a presentation in a larger conference room, you may want to use a Bluetooth speaker for louder sound. Although I will admit the sound quality was very clear in my testing. My clients during our group sessions/presentations were quite pleased with how well their projects looked on the conference room screen.

So, this review is actually part of a double-test, which actually greatly benefited this delightful little Epson projector. I happened to be testing out my new 25 foot (yes, 25 FOOT) inflatable outdoor projector screen. Please see the accompanying photos of the screen in the daytime to see just how HUGE this thing really is. Now, prior to this I was using a budget (sub $200) projector on an approximately 80" screen. Which did ok for outdoor movie night, but never...WOWED em, know what I mean? So I knew I was going to have to do a projector upgrade to accommodate this new, frankly enormous screen. Enter: the Epson Pro EX7280. Stated maximum image size: 320 Inches (or 26 feet). Here's the thing though. This thing blew my 25 foot screen away. As in, it had NO problem pushing 25 foot. To wit, it is MY belief that this projector will actually do MORE than the rated max size. The image quality at 25 feet was SO GOOD, that I wouldn't hesitate to get a BIGGER screen to use with this. If you have access to a 30 foot screen? This should do that no problem. I honestly think you might be able to push this to 35 feet in a decently dark environment. Because the brightness and contrast is INCREDIBLE, and the color saturation? Out of this world. As in, were we REALLY watching a 25 foot screen? My test film for this projector was Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind on Blu-Ray using a Samsung Blu-Ray player as source. I have to tell you, I was blown straight away by the color saturation when the preview for Pixar's "Cars 2" was playing. It was actually hard to believe this was coming from a projector! I did NOTHING to tune this, save for sticking it on a platform, firing it up, and adjusting focus. I didn't even have to adjust the pincushion. It was perfect (at least for me) out of the box. Do I think it could look better with tuning? Who cares? It's so good that, frankly, I'm not going to even bother. I'm just going to use it! Focus was easy to achieve and sharp as a tack (if you looked closely you could make out the pixels reproduced on the screen). The only thing to say that I didn't care for was the built-in speaker. I understand that most folks will probably be hooking this up to SOME kind of external audio device, but let me warn you ahead of time if you plan on using the built-in speaker: It will have great difficulty competing against noisy environments. I had to have the volume on this turned all the way to 10 to compete with the blower motor of my projector screen. Granted, I was competing against that, but still, it's NOT loud, so please consider an auxiliary speaker solution if you intend to use this anywhere where you will be competing against background noise. It comes with a nice filter to keep dust from getting in with the cooling air. In all, this is a fantastic projector for my needs. It has NO problem filling my 25 foot screen and seems to me like it has MORE to give. Color saturation, sharpness, even motion was outstanding. I've officially put my old projector up for sale. I don't think I'm going to miss it. Absolutely recommended, especially if you're trying to fill a big space!

Every now and then I have to give an independent presentation from my work. I was needing this guy. I know people that would probably use it in a personal capacity and I think it'll work just not the high level of quality you're needing or looking for and entertainment. Now for business it's definitely the way to go, I went to this conference room easy set up had a nice little screen set up for me already I just had to adjust it on the table. Easy setup almost straight out of the box works fine and hooked up to my laptop easily. Obviously you have to provide your own audio but that's what computer speakers are for. Phenomenal projector great color showed off my charts and notes in color like I wanted it to and amazing, don't forget to have a screen or something to shoot the image onto I think you can send it to a blank wall but you lose a little something.
