    Bright Picture and Excellent Quality

I got this projector for my office since the existing one was slowly dying. The last one I purchased was 3-4 years ago and cost $1200 for high picture brightness to compensate for the bright room (even with shades drawn). The VS335W has a brighter picture than I could’ve hoped for and goes for only $450 (at the time of this review). Running a presentation in a bright room is a huge help in keeping my audience awake after lunch. The picture quality was outstanding and all adjustments were easy to make. Though not home theater quality, the presentation videos were clear and, for an office setting, the picture quality was outstanding. The VS335W is plug and play with Windows 7-10, Linux, and OSX Macbook. I can’t speak on any other systems. The casing feels solid and sturdy. It has three legs (two in back and one in front) so you can adjust the height or place on a slightly uneven surface. I say slightly because the rear legs only extend so far and you’d want to place it on a flat surface to prevent the risk of falling and getting damaged anyway. Two things to consider if looking at this projector. It does make noise and having it sit on the office desk was a slight distraction. I’m sure if it were mounted to the ceiling, you wouldn’t notice it. The temperature of the projector gets warm if it’s used for more than 20-30 minutes. If you need something quiet or cool, you may want to shop around and compare projectors in person. The picture quality is bright and clear in nearly any light conditions. I’m very satisfied with my decision on this projector and highly recommend it. For the money, I believe it’s well worth it!

This is my first ever personal projector. I have used them at work, at events and at friends place and always wanted to get one. This is a portable and easy to carry projector. It is very easy to setup and connect your devices. It has HDMI connection and supports widescreen laptops perfectly. I was told that this is not a home projector intended for movie nights. Since my apartment and office space is well lit and normal projectors might not be bright enough for displaying presentations, I decided to order this. It produces bright images and I didn't had to get dark curtains to make the room any darker. I used this few times at work for presentations as well as when I was hosting game events. It worked flawlessly and everyone was asking me about the projector. I changed the brightness to ECO mode to increase the bulb life up to 10000 hours. This is a 720p system, perfect for office presentations and game nights. I didn't try projecting any 4K resolution to even see how good or bad it looks since this is not a home theater projector, but I think it can do the job for a small get together family occasions or kids movie nights. The projector comes with a built-in speaker. Although it is good for small room meetings, you might want to use external speakers if presenting to a large group. Overall, this is a great business projector and I highly recommend to anyone who needs a portable office projector.

What's in the box - ------------------ Epson VS355 Multimedia Projector Power cable Computer cable (VGA) Projector remote control with batteries User manual CD Quick Setup Sheet How is the build quality --------------------- At 6 pounds, i should say that for a projector is light to be carried around. it surely looks well built in white color Inputs ------ HDMI for connecting your Blu Ray Player or computer (it can play 720p videos), USB for video and audio play from PC or Mac, VGA (I am sure you will never use it ), Component input (not sure if you will use it either) Presentations ------------- Very Bright and clear. i have used several projectors at work and this one beats all of them by far, very good for powerpoint presentations with audio and that's really the purpose of this one. This is not really meant for video and what i mean by that is that for optimum video , you should pick up the Home Cinema version of the projector. Videos ------ Very good videos for the price, however i cannot say the same about the audio sounds tinny. i would rather connect my source through bluetooth to my soundbar and have the sound come out of there rather than the sound from the projector. Also, the speakers on the projectors are not really meant for such usages, anyone would expect a home theater or a soundbar connection. Having bluetooth on this would have been awesome & it is a very cheap technology to be included in the projector

Setup: This projector is a very simple plug-and-play. There are no drivers to install if you are using HDMI or VGA input. USB video display software must be installed to use the USB-B input. The VS355 can be used on a table or mounted to the ceiling. Ceiling mounting hardware is sold separately. Input: HDMI is by far the most convenient and universally compatible with modern computers and other audio/video (A/V) sources. No HDMI cable is provided with the VS355. VGA offers video only, but is backwardly compatible with older computers (and other video sources) with VGA output ports. The VS355 comes with a VGA cable. If your video source has composite video (i.e. one RCA jack for red, green, and blue), you will need a composite RCA to VGA cable to use with the VS355. RCA jacks (female) are available for audio (right and left) and video. A cable for RCA input is not provided with the VS355. Note that the video signal uses only one jack and will not work for composite video devices with separate jacks for red, green, and blue signals (see comment above for VGA). While I have not done so myself, it should be possible to use the VGA input for video and the RCA input for audio (only). USB-B input is available on the VS355, but you will need a USB cable and installation of the Epson’s USB Display driver software. USB-A input is a nice idea, but there are inconvenient restrictions to its use. Devices must be USB Mass Storage Class-compliant, formatted in FAT or FAT32, self-powered (i.e. require no bus power), and can have only one partition. Only a limited number of file formats are supported (.jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, and .avi) and there are notable limitations on the file size, resolution, and format for each file type. You can check out page 99 of the User’s Guide (https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd53733.pdf) for details. Wireless(?): Not out of the box with the VS355. The projector can be used on a wireless network, but you must purchase a separate wireless adapter that inserts into the USB-A port on the VS355. The VS355 is not listed among the compatible projectors on any of the eight wireless modules on Epson’s web site. My best guess (based on projector models mentioned in the VS355 User’s Guide) is that you will need the “Wireless LAN Module (ELPAP10)” for the VS355. You will need to call Epson to confirm compatibility. There is an odd-looking bit of plastic that comes with the VS355. This is the retention clip for the wireless transceiver should you decide to purchase one. Remote: All of the projector’s features and menu system can be accessed through the remote control. This is a great convenience if you have your VS355 mounted on the ceiling. The remote does not have an integrated laser pointer, but there is an on-screen digital pointer that can be operated with arrow keys on the remote. This feature is only enabled when using HDMI and USB-B input. The split key on the remote allows side-by-side images from two video input sources. The remote also has a digital zoom and the arrow keys let you pan in four directions. There are two IR receiver, on the front and one in the back to allow the remote to function from almost any angle. Output: Video output on the VS355 has a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA) with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The maximum recommended projection distance is about 16 feet. The bulb takes about 30sec to come to full brightness. While the 1280 x 800 resolution will be a step back for most users accustomed to “monitor-quality” viewing experience, it is more than sufficient for a classroom or small conference room presentation. Horizontal (slider behind the lens) and vertical (buttons on the top) keystone adjustments are easy and intuitive. There are 5 preset color profiles, but brightness, contrast, saturation, tint, sharpness, and color temperature are each individually customizable. There is even a noise reduction option for smoothing out the “grain” in images. Audio output is the weakest part of the VS355 and limited to a single 2-inch speaker in the rear of the projector. It will provide reasonable volume for a small conference room, but not much more. If you need high-quality audio output, I would highly recommend getting a separate dedicated system for this purpose. Design: The VS355 is light, compact, and well designed for a classroom or small conference room environment. The fan is a bit noisy, but is a small sacrifice for longer lamp life. The cooling air inlet has a removable filter to keep dust out of the lamp housing. Epson recommends cleaning the filter with a light (i.e. computer) vacuum or small brush. Replacement filters are available for purchase. The lamp is behind the small speaker and seems relatively easy to replace. The VS355 will alert you (presumably on screen) when the filter or lamp need attention.

The Epson VW7Z5Q is very versatile you can do a powerpoint presentation and close out with a funny video. The resolution was surprisingly vivid at 720. And with the integrated mouse and pointer built into remote, you can set up with minimal difficulty. Its lightweight and portable making it a very good business tool. The speaker was also very adequate for any application. and there so many ports making versatile, definitely worth looking at for any small business to the large company.

The Epson VS355 is a great portable projector for business presentations. Excellent color renditions and crisp picture, even in brightly lit conference rooms when on the eco setting. Color output level lumens are equal to black and white which is a welcome change from the projector this one is replacing. Input options alcoves just about any use case. A VGA cable is included in the box but no HDMI or component cables. The sound quality is about what you expect from a business projector--sub par. There is no audio out so if you need better sound then you'll have to come up with a solution on your own. Documentation included is relatively lacking but the online manual is pretty comprehensive. I've also tried running a steaming stick directly into the HDMI input and was pleasantly surprised with how well this projector handles movies. It's definitely not home theater quality but it's acceptable for a backyard movie night. Instant recognition of input source and picture correction options are plentiful. I've been really impressed with this little unit. About the only negative thing I can say is that the fan is a little louder than my old projector but this one also produces more heat which I'm assuming requires a larger fan, thus adding to the noise level. I'd highly recommend the Epson for anyone needing a good quality, general use projector at a pretty decent price point.

    Epson Multimedia 3LCD Projector

This is a review for the Epson VS355 3LCD Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Setup of the Epson Projector was simple right out of the box, which included the following: Epson VS355 WXGA 3LCD Projector, projector remote control & two AA batteries, power cord, user manual/registration cd, 14 pin VGA computer cable, 4 setup sheets in different languages, and one small plastic piece not shown in the setup sheet. The weight of the projector, an easily portable 6 lbs. makes this product light and compact enough to bring along anywhere. The Epson VS355 is mainly built for business presentations and 720p home theater video, and multimedia uses. There are several ports, usb-A & usb-B for cameras and flash drives, RCA composite audio/video, computer (VGA) and HDMI. I used predominantly the HDMI port when connecting to my windows 10 laptop after I noticed a slightly better picture quality over using the provided VGA cable. Both cables is easy for plug n’ play. I really liked the source search that would find what I had connected to it. The projected picture I noticed is bright, crisp and clear on the bluish grey wall to view upon. While going through various settings, I was delightfully surprised to find this projector has a split screen side by side option. Lowering the bulb brightness diminished the picture slightly but will increase the bulb lifespan. I was able to play and project dvds via my laptop using HDMI, giving me a feeling of going to the movie theatre, but the projector’s speakers didn’t seem loud enough for a surround sound experience. I think it would’ve been better if Bluetooth was added to the Epson VS355, but there are audio ports to connect speakers to. For superior home theater useage, I recommend upgrading to an Epson Home Cinema 1060 projector. Apart from tin sounding projector speakers, the projector fan runs quietly but still manages to get fairly warm after 45 min to an hour continuous use. This Pson projector for the price is a powerful workhorse for many media purposes.

“This is a review for the Epson VS355 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” We received this Epson projector quickly. It was well packaged and all expected parts and accessories were present: Quick set up sheets in multiple languages CD for computer set up Cables for power and other connections Remote with batteries The Quick Set up instructions were well written. If the user desires more information or instructions, there is also a full manual available to view online. The set up was so easy! We had the projector up and running in about 10 minutes. We connected the Epson VS355 Projector to a DVD player to watch a movie. The picture was clear and the colors are vibrant and bright. We projected onto a large blank wall that is painted a light tan color but the colors were still bright and the picture was clear. We will purchase a screen in the future and appropriate ceiling mount. The speaker is in the rear of the projector which at first concerned me, but the sound was great! The remote is easy to use, well labeled, and intuitive. We love being able to choose various picture sizes from 16:9 to zoom to normal to full screen (my husband’s favorite setting). We also loved being able to choose the type of display. In this case, we chose the Cinema mode since we were viewing a DVD. Sometimes projector fans can be noisy and distracting but that was not the case with this projector. We could hear the fan, but it was very quiet. This projector can be used with a DVD player, a computer, or a USB stick. There are buttons on the top of the projector that correspond to some of the buttons on the remote. The projector is compact and lightweight which would be beneficial if the user plans to take the projector on the road. Overall, I would recommend this projector to those who would use it in an at-home setting and I would also recommend it to the professional who wanted a lightweight, high-quality projector for use in professional settings.

This is a review for the Epson VS355 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I LOVE the quality of the picture. It is perfectly clear! BUT it got hot so fast. The fan never shut off and it still was so hot. After a half hour of use I had to shut it down to allow it to cool down. It’s the perfect size for a shelf and the white color makes it not stand out that much. I feel like $500 is a little much for something I can only use in half hour intervals.Volume isn’t the best either.

The Epson VS355 Portable Projector is excellent quality for a reasonable price. This is the highest quality picture I have seen on a portable projector in this price range. It is very easy to set up and use. It has a very simple to use remote control with many options that make it easy to make presentations. It is easy to hook up to a computer or just plug in a USB and you don't even need a computer. You can run two presentations side by side. The picture quality is awesome. It is bright and the colors are amazing. If you are in the market for a projector - I would definitely recommend the Epson VS355!

It's a very straightforward simple projector. Out of all projectors I have used in office presentations (those that are not mounted that we have to pre set up as regular non IT people), I find this one so simple. The connections are standard including HDMI. When you move the projector it automatically shows you the keystone so you can adjust it to supposed setting. And the video output itself is so clear. At only HD / 720p, the quality is just right for dynamic powerpoint presentations. The only downside I have is, you just need to figure out that the buttons up/down and left/right are the ones around the center button without appropriate labels--it's something you will have to figure out yourself. It's not rocket science to understand the settings, but I think I got spoiled with how simple this device is. I have used it for over 3 hours in one use and it does not heat up too much-- at regular 75 degree room temperature. I have yet to use it for a longer time or maybe for more intense transitions of graphics? For what I have used it so far, on multiple simple occasions, this projector does the job well.

First, understand this projector is made for business use. The projector can attach to a computer with a standard pin monitor cord (included), or hdmi, USB-a or b, and rca cables. I tried it with the included monitor cord and one of my own hdmi. The first thing I noticed was that the colors were rich and well saturated. The letters were sharp with a little adjusting. I tested the sound with the hdmi cord. It was loud enough to be heard in a small to midsize conference room, but the tone was more like a mono speaker. There are rca connection to hook up other sound, so I'm sure that would sound better. You can either use the buttons on the top of the projector to adjust sharpness, color, size of screen etc or you can use the included remote. Both are easy to use. The projector is small and light and would be easy to travel with. Look forward to using it.

    Wonderful Quality Precise Projector

This is a review for the Epson VS355 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This projector is a very sturdy model and user friendly as well. It projects very sharp and bright imaging and has great range. It can be used with a VGA cable, or HDMI cable as it is HI-Def capable. It provides enough range to work beautifully outside;however, it is 7 lbs so I would recommend a sturdy place for setup. It does include a remote though which is very convenient. The images are sharp enough to play a movie and adjustment for sharpness and image placement is very simple. This has a great deal to do with its 3LED source instead of being DLP. I transport to work when needed, but mostly leave it at home because the children love the feeling of being in a movie theater both inside and outside. I’m absolutely in love with its functionality and precise imagery. The only downfall is the speaker. It isn’t effective enough for outdoor or indoor movies; however, setting up speakers to the device I am playing movie from is no issue to me either. I think the Epson V355 Projector is a wonderful value and serves its purpose very beautifully. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality image projector!

This is a review for the Epson VS355 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this projector. The main reason I wanted to try it was to use as a visual aid for my girl scout troop. I was impressed with the ease of hooking it up and the clarity of the picture even with the lights on. It included everything I needed to get it running quickly. I also used it at home to project movies for a drive in movie night birthday celebration and it was perfect. I did get a little warm, so I just kept an eye on it, but it never became an issue. The sound needed amped up, so I just hooked a speaker up and it worked out fine. I will definately get a lot of use out of this projector!

This is a review for the Epson VS355 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I signed up to review this projector for my non-profit center. For years we had been using an old projector that made our presentations look yellow, was difficult to set up because it wasn’t comparable with newer technology, and overheated quickly. We found this Epson vs355 to be such an improvement over what we were using before. The projector came to use well packaged and all the parts were safely secured in the box. When we opened it up, we found the very easy to follow directions. Setting up this projector was super easy. We were able to use for a power point presentation, to play a video movie, and to look at photos on one of our usb flash drives. The clarity and quality of the images was terrific. I particularly loved the remote control that comes with this projector. I am not a “techie” person, so user friendly equipment is a must, and I felt like a pro using this equipment. Overall, my staff and I agree that this projector is perfect for our needs, and was the upgrade we needed to provide for more professional looking presentations. The children in our preschool classroom loved watching the video. Five Stars!!

The video is bright whether the room is well lit or dark. I have tried a white, and black surface. As bright as it is the color was stronger using a black surface. With today's technology I am surprised that wifi was not built in. You have to purchase a wifi usb adaptor from Epson. It's not cheap. I have played using a game counsel with great response and watched a movie and regular tv. The focus is set manually. The screen size depends on how far the device is from the surface as well as manual adjustment.
