This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I would also like to say that I am a bit technologically challenged when it comes to putting things together and setting up new items!! but this machine really did impress me!! This is so small, weighs only a couple of pounds, works on AC power or a computer's USB 3.0 power (including a powered USB 3.0 hub), and scans business cards, receipts, and documents incredibly fast! The only complaint I have is that I would like the USB cable to be a bit longer, it is only 3 feet so I may end up buying an additional one. But I love that It is so light and portable!! It works with both PCs and Macs, scans two-sided documents in a single pass, and it will auto-feed long, thin grocery-store receipts of varying lengths. This little scanner so perfect !! it will scan (and auto-feed) documents of many widths and weights, and business and plastic cards of different weights (as long as the documents and cards fall within certain specified limits). It did take me a little practice to master the feeder, but document jams are easy to clear. (You turn the power off, pull up a horizontal guide, and lift the document out.) IT was easy to set up ( since I happen to be technologically challenged and even I managed to do it myself!!) You can easily scan to online storage accounts and rid your home or office of so much extra paperwork!! Talk about organizing!!! WOW!! This scanner comes with the same software as some bigger, non-portable Epson scanners. I felt I had to familiarize myself with the User Manual before trying to scan anything. The settings are a little confusing since there are so many choices and it did take me some time a while to figure out how to set the destinations for my scanned files. But as I said, I am not really good with these things.. But I was able to do it!! So if you are a bit knowledgeble about these things it will be a breeze for you! And just remember... be sure to download and install the installation software BEFORE you plug in the scanner! Which is, again.... easy to install!! Now I feel that I can get rid of my big, ugly space using printer with it's built in scanner and get a nice, compact portable printer to go along with my nice, compact portable scanner!! What a pleasure!!! I really am happy with this!!

I am not sure if your like me but I tend to get a lot of mail in my mailbox containing things like bills and just useful information about other things. I was the person that always felt the need to hold onto this information in filing cabinets and such, but what this did was cause an overflow of paperwork that I would have to go into and remove every few months. Now that I have this scanner this has solved alot of the headaches I have had about the safe keeping of my documents and also space issues that I was dealing with before. So quick note before I go into further detail on how I actually use this device, the setup was very straightforward and easy to do. The instructions are all laid out and easy to read. One thing to note is that it doesn't come with the latest driver so you will have to download it at some point. Also recommend doing the updates once downloaded so that you can get some of the option software choices that they offer. Not having a driver in the box I feel will be the biggest annoyance with the setup that people may have. As for the size of the device it fits perfectly on my desk and takes up virtually no space at all. This allows me to have a monochrome laser printer and a self contained scanner instead of one giant bulky unit. Now that I had it setup, I started using the scanner software to input my information into my computer. One tip of advice when scanning in your documents have them pre divided up into the groups that you want. When you use the software you will notice that you choose the output of where to put the documents when your done. I have opted for saving all my documents locally on an encrypted drive and also backed up on a flash drive that can be stored in a fireproof safe as well. This gives me double protection of not losing the items that have been scanned so that I can shred the actual paperwork and not have to hold onto it anymore. Now this is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have to say even though I did a beta test on it I would still be inclined in purchasing another one for my actual office setting as well.

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. When I first received the scanner I was amazed at how compact it was. I was going to hook it up to my desktop but there is no room on my desk so I took it to my Windows Tablet/Laptop to hook it up there. In the box you get the scanner, the AC adapter, USB cord and step by step instructions. Everything you need to just plug and go. The instructions are pretty clear. You first have to download the software. Then you have to connect the scanner and poof! It was connected. This scanner is so quick! I had tons of fun just seeing what I could scan and how fast it scans. The scanner can hold up to 20 pages and auto-feeds them through one at a time. This is great for people who have presentations that need to be scanned and emailed to other people. My son who is in college was asking about a scanner the other day. (If my husband doesn't keep this one I'm pretty sure my son will get it.) One of the features on the scanner is that you can power it with the AC adapter or the USB cord. This is helpful for those people on the go that just want to keep up with one power cord. It is also a great feature for people working with this scanner at a desktop. You're computer is always plugged in so you can power the scanner through it's USB connection. You can also adjust the settings by the push of a slider to scan credit cards or business cards so you can keep everything together and stay organized. There are sliders in the middle to adjust do different paper sizes so if you want to scan an envelope, or a picture you don't have to worry if it will come out twisted in the image. These sliders hold the item in place to help keep it straight. One thing I didn't like about this scanner is that there is no where to tell you what the buttons on the top do. I knew because I have an Epson printer with the same buttons. The first button is the power button, then there is what looks like another button, but you can't push it, this one seems to let you know if the document isn't in correctly or something to that effect. The third button is the Cancel button and the fourth is the scan button. Overall this is a great little scanner and one I am happy to have in my electronics line up!

If you want to see the scanner in action check out this demo video I put together: https://youtu.be/yX5_ZLXQgGI For the size of the scanner, I am super impressed by the speed and quality with which it scans documents. The only bad thing that I can say about it is that the software is a little clunky, but once you get used to it the software is handy. It comes with a bunch of different programs and drivers but the two useful ones that you should know about are document capture and FineReader Sprint. Document capture is basic you press the scan button and it scans the documents on the scanner, then it has some easy to use tools that let you rotate and rearrange pages (the clunky part of the software is when you go to the save dialog using a mac it feels outdated, but once you figure it out it’s just a minor nuisance). The FineReader Sprint software that comes bundled with the scanner is more full featured and can convert documents not only into a searchable pdf but also into a word excel or HTML file. Having it create a searchable pdf is super useful because then you can find things easily in the document and anyone that you send your pdf’s to will be able to go through the document more easily. (Protip: The FineReader Sprint program can also take pdf files from your computer and turn them into other kinds of files or make them searchable.) The hardware of the scanner is nothing short of amazing, it is super small but folds out do have a document feeder that is the size of much larger scanners. In the box, you get the scanner itself, a USB cable and a power cable. In the instructions, it says that the scanner can be powered using just your computers USB port so I just did that because why would you want to plug in the AC adapter if you don’t have to. When I started scanning, it was kind of slow, the pages fed at an ok speed and there was a couple second pause between pages. For a small scanner, I thought this was an acceptable speed but it wasn’t anything impressive. Then on a whim, I plugged in the power cable and scanned a document. WOW, it goes so fast, I guess it can’t power the motors fully using just your computers USB power but once you plug it in it shoots through documents. I’ve only had it jam once and it was because I loaded the documents wrong. I’m very impressed by how it takes in the documents and doesn’t take too many at a time or get them misaligned. Overall I would recommend this scanner to anyone who is looking for a small scanner for their desk, or a scanner to take with them on the go! Great portable scanner for those on the Go

The ES-200 is small and compact, but a little on the heavy side. It’s portable, but not pocketable. The scanner feels very well made, solid and durable. Out of the box it felt worth the cost just in it’s build quality. The directions are a little hard to follow so read carefully. The software download was painless (Make sure to download the correct application from the manual). After it was installed an update window came up and downloaded all other needed software. The ES-200 is very fast (when plugged into the wall) and produces great scans. I love that they added the option of powering it over USB on the go, but if you plug it in, the scan speed doubles. Auto feed works really well, but you do have to be careful to stagger the sheets a little so that the back sheet is the first to touch the feed rollers. I also quickly found that if I rolled the paper long ways to remove any folds, things went much smoother. The software is a huge win! Document capture pro is really great. It’s ability to setup profiles for batch jobs made scanning large stacks of paper easy. I have four major batch jobs setup, one that scans multiple sheets, 1 sheet (single sided) per file. This allows me to put in a ton of sheets that don’t have anything to do with each other and scan them all at once. Another profile that does the same but is double sided. Then two profiles that scan all the sheets into one file, single and double sided respectively. I was able to go through 100 sheets in an hour, something that would have taken me many hours on all the previous scanners I have used (Most of that time spent just getting all the paper arranged to feed into the scanner). Also the connections to online services is just icing on the cake! I store all my files in google drive, but previously had to save locally then “sync” to Google Drive. Now after setting up the destination to google drive it’s simple to scan everything knowing it was going directly to my Google Drive without having to wait for a sync to occur. In the end this scanner is worth every penny, it’s portable, and solid. I would suggest this to anyone who needs a scanner on a regular basis and has a moving work space. This will do the job and do it well. “This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Full featured scanner in a portable package

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The scanner is a full featured unit in a moderately small package, designed to be taken on the go. One big plus of the unit is that it can scan both sides of a page with only one feed through the scanner. It will scan in color at up to 1200dpi. There is a feature to automatically correct document skew and to skip blank pages. You can output image files, PDF documents, Multi-page TIFF files, or several Office document formats such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. PDF documents can be made searchable during the scan with the built in OCR capabilities. Just insert the stack of documents into the feeder and use the provided software to initiate the scan. I created a profile in the software to send my scans directly to a folder in Evernote, and I then organize the documents from that software. You can also have files go to a folder, e-mail, FTP, directly to a printer (like a copier), to a Web folder, Microsoft SharePoint, OneNote, Google Drive, SugarSync, or a custom application. The scanner has a seperate area which allows both sides of business cards to be scanned easily. This device has a lot of features in a small space. Although it comes with an included power adapter, I find that the USB 3.0 port on my laptop provides enough power to use the device with just the USB connection. Despite the great design of this unit, there are a few drawbacks you should be aware of. First, you must download the software for the device from the internet -- make sure you download it and install it before you take the device with you in case you do not have internet access. Documents must be inserted into the scanner face down. This is different from many scanners I am used to, however I expect this was required to make the scanner be able to scan both sides of a page at a time and the pages remain in order. The device is a little heavy, about 3 pounds by my estimation. It does not have a carry case, so make sure to store it in a bag where it will not get damaged during travel. The device is somewhat expensive. If you do not need a scanner which is also portable, and have plenty of space, the money you would spend on this device might be better spent on a all-in-one printer/scanner.

I received this Epson ES-200 in about a week ago. Upon opening, the packaging is adequate and supports the item. I went to then hook up the item to my computer to begin use. This was something that was a little different from me. Normally when you order something like a printer it comes with the drivers and programs on a disc in the packaging. That is not the case with this scanner. I had to go to a website to download the software and drivers. So if you do not have the internet available at your location, I can only assume that you can call Epson and they will send you one, or that this item does not work for you. Once I was able to get the drivers to download, the installation of the drivers and program was difficult. It took 3 attempts to get it to install. The first time it went to 13% and then stopped and wouldn’t go any further. The second time it went to 99% and then again stopped and wouldn’t continue install. On the third attempt I had to uncheck some boxes in the startup screen before install and then it finally went through the entire installation process. Using the scanner was a breeze. You simply put the document in and hit the scan button on the program and the scanner starts. It is so much quieter than a normal machine scanner/printer/copier. That is a big plus for me. Especially when I use it at home with a toddler, which makes him not want to touch and play with it and again for use at work it isn’t a disruption. There are a few problems I have had with it. There is a printing option, but when I try to print I get an error message “The printer driver is not available”. I also wish there was an option to save as something other than pdf. There are also many great features to the program. You can rotate the document, send via email, add pages that were left out, remove pages. So many more. It is also a double sided scanner. This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I was excited to get my scanner but very surprised it was shipped with no outer box. It came directly in the product box. The scanner is small and compact which is perfect since space is a commodity in my home and at my client locations. Everything I needed was in the box. I did have to download some software but that process was easy and painless. I did find the directions a little confusing and had to reread them a couple of times. There are two options to power the scanner. There is a USB cable that can be directly plugged into your computer or laptop or the standard plug into an outlet option. I have a small similar scanner for work and my only option is to plug directly into my laptop. My husband was excited that he could scan in business cards. He is in sales and is always dealing with lots of business cards he would like to keep. This printer allows us to scan those in and organize them in a helpful fashion. There are sliders on the scanner that accommodate various size documents and cards. I wanted to de-clutter and de-paper all those stacks of statements, taxes, etc., that I have. This scanner easily scans multiple pages. There are various options that I am still playing around with such as double sided. I did notice some of the pages catch when feeding but removing them and placing them back in place easily corrected any misfeeds. I also had this problem with my work scanner so I think it is an inherent limitation in such a small and compact device. I was surprised to find the speed increased when plugged into wall. I would recommend this to family, friends or even coworkers. However, the price is not as competitive as it could be to make it more appealing to a wider variety of consumers.

Small, Compact, and Easy to Use

“This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” This scanner comes in a 15” x 5.5” x 3.5” box so it is much smaller than I had originally expected. I have to walk about a quarter of a mile from my post office and it was not difficult to carry at all. It comes with all of the software you need but please know that it is on a CD, and many newer computers are getting rid of the disk drive. However, it was very easy to install the driver from the Epson website. Once I installed the driver, it was pretty easy to set up. After everything was set up, I decided to put it to the test by scanning a 500+ page textbook. The top opens really easily and the X-shaped pieces really help hold pages up. There are also sliders on the sides to make sure that your pages are going in straight which is really helpful if you are scanning several pages. It says 20-sheet automatic document feeder. However, I wanted to see how many it could really take at one time. The most that I could scan without a paper jam was about 60-70 (please note that my textbook pages are much thinner than normal printer paper). I did end up having it jam a couple of times (of my own fault). The jams were pretty easy to fix, just pull up the middle part and pull the sheets out. Luckily, a light on it would flash to let me know that it was jammed. Overall, it is a good choice if you have a limited amount of space or just want a very small, compact scanner. It can definitely scan more than 20 pages but I wouldn’t recommend pushing it too far. It’s fast and not too noisy (my roommate didn’t even hear it and we have thin walls). It only took about 30 minutes for me to set it up and scan a 500 pg book so it is definitely something that I would recommend.

    Great work small scanner

My first thought/impression was that the scanner is really small, which I love. My experience with this is that set up was a bit different than what I am used to. It is a little longer and slightly more involved. The product’s performance was really nice and did better than I originally thought. After the initial set up was taken care of, the scanner was quicker than I expected. It even did double sided in one pass, although you have to select that from the software, pushing the button on the scanner itself just defaults to one side. There may be a way to change that but I couldn’t figure it out. While in double sided mode, or single sided, the scanner was quick and efficient. It had good detail in resolution and colors within the scanned document as well. In my profession, having a good detailed scan makes my job a lot easier. One thing that would be nice is a wireless set up, but that’s not a make or break deal for me. Since this is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review, I wanted to push it and I inadvertently caused a paper jam. I thought this was a typical problem to run across and see how it responds. The scanner will grab one page at a time. A folded piece of paper may cause issues when one half of the page gets grabbed and then the other half right behind it. The paper got stuck and in my efforts to unjam it, I tore a corner off the paper. The only way I could get it cleared was to turn off and on the scanner and do a quick scan with a good piece of paper to get it out. Overall, I love this scanner and I would recommend it. I put it through its paces and it held up well. It is a good space saving option that has good picture quality and scans quickly.

    Epson ES-200 ES Scanner

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I received the product in a sturdy box with bright colors. The product packaging was eye-catching, distinct, and very visible by it's bright green outer appearance. I was expecting a larger product but this small piece of equipment is portable, light, and easy to assemble. I mistakenly connected the scanner to my laptop before downloading the software. I'm not a huge fan of downloading software so the process was painful for me. The download took about twenty (20) minutes. It failed to detect the equipment. Eventually, the set-up was complete and ready to start a test scan. I elected to scan documents in varying sizes and colors. The downside to using this product, is having to go to the "app" first to prompt it to scan the documents. Once the documents were loaded, the speed of the scan was impressive (very fast, very quick). What I did not like is the scanner was incapable of scanning all 14 documents. The scanner was scanning two pages at a time. The first scan, scanned 10 of 14 pages. I restarted the process and loaded the documents by size. The second scan, scanned 11 of 14 pages. If this could be fixed, I believe the product would get a 4-star rating. Lastly, the clarity of the scan was of poor quality. The scan looks dated and stale. There was no fresh qualify about the scan, you can tell that it was reproduced by a low grade piece of equipment. It looked like a black and white fax from the 1980s. Needs major improvement with the scan quality. Again, this is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

High quality portable scanner for documents

This is a very high quality portable scanner, which is perfect for quickly scanning documents, business cards, and receipts. Pros: The setup was very easy. You just download the software and plug it in. It comes with an AC power cord, but it is also bus powered, so you can just plug in the USB cord and power it from your computer. The only thing you really need the AC power cord for is to install firmware updates. The scanner did an excellent job scanning multiple sheets of paper, even if they had folds or rips. It can scan double or single sided sheets with just one pass and it does a great job converting text to type. The interface is pretty straight-forward but there are plenty of options to tweak the color and other settings. The scanner does a decent job scanning photos (it can scan up to 1200 dpi) but this is really better suited for documents. It has a nice card scanning feature for business cards or ids. It scans them flat so even rigid cards can be scanned easily. Cons: Occasionally there was some banding when scanning glossy or luster photos, but it's not really meant for photos. Also, sometimes it had trouble detecting that the sheet is in the scanner. Overall: I would recommend this product, especially if you travel a lot and scan mostly documents. It's a very fast scanner and produces very high-quality scans. Not bad for something about the size of a small umbrella. This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This scanner is about as small as you can possibly make it. It is approximately the size of a laser printer toner cartridge. Because of this, various pieces fold out to provide the support you need to make it work - paper guides and tray on the top and the scanner area and a small area for the paper to end up in after the scan. It requires wall power (so you can't use JUST a laptop, for instance) and a USB connection. The packaging is adequate and not excessive. It has a quick to install driver/software package that you can download from the Epson website. I was using this scanner with Windows 10. As far as usage goes, it is mostly good news. The driver is quick to install and the software is very easy to use. It powers up and is ready to go quickly. It gets high marks on portability. It scans through pages quickly, and the image quality that is produced can be adjusted driver-side. I was able to scan semi-folded pages and pages with staples removed just fine. As far as issues, I occasionally ran into an issue where a large stack of well compressed paper (like, from a filing cabinet) would put through multiple pages at once, and would require the pages to go through in smaller chunks. I didn't run into any pages that would not scan at all. There is a premium model that connects to wifi that I would prefer over this one in order to avoid one of the wires on the go, but it also costs more. Overall, a pretty good buy in my opinion.

This Epson portable scanner has impressed me from the very beginning. The scanner was shipped to me in its original box alone and because Epson thought out the packaging, my scanner arrived in great undamaged condition even though there where small dents and dings in the box. Unpacking was easy and quick. Included with the scanner was the power adaptor, USB 3 cable and documentation. Installing the scanner physically was a breeze. The problem I ran into was that when I went to install my internet was down and I couldn't install it because I could not download the software to complete/ initiate the install as you need to install all software before plugging scanner into computer. I miss the install software cd's because of this. After inter was back up, install was painless. Using the scanner is where I was completely blown away. The scanner is almost silent and is pretty fast during scans (duplex) and extremely fast doing previews. All the scans that I did were very clear and ledgable. The suite of software download gives you many choice of what you can do with your scans plus you can scan business cards as well. Overall I am impressed with this portable scanner and it's included software suite. I would've like to see a CD with the software included but I do realize companies are going away from that. If you need a portable scanner or just a nice small one for your home, you can go wrong with the Epson ES-200. The Epson ES-200 is a remarkable scanner. The overall footprint of the scanner is small enough not only for business travelers to carry in their laptop bag, but also a good compliment for home users that don't want a cumbersome scanner on their desk. For me personally this is ideal as my home office desk these days is much smaller so real estate usage is important. The setup was a breeze too. Unpack, plug in power, plus in USB, open; it's ready. The installation of the macOS software was quick & easy. It updated things accordingly & was ready to start scanning documents. Upon opening the software, the scanner was poised & awaiting whatever I threw at it. Loading documents into the scanner is easy & the process of pulling each document through the scanner into your scan job is a no brainer. The quality of the documents scanned it great. My overall use of this scanner is going to definitely replace my usage of an older Lexmark all-in-one I have. There is even capability to scan business cards to allow for an easy importation into your contacts, which is a great extra feature to include into the overall functionality. This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. My comments are my own & recommendation of this product is soley based on my great experience with this scanner. I would definitely recommend this product to friends & family.

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I opened the scanner and found the cords necessary for installation, as well as a quick set up reference of how to hook up the scanner. In order to use the scanner, you have to obtain the software from the website. A users guide to the scanner was included in the download and appears as an icon on your desktop. No icon appeared on the desktop for the software. You will have to manually look for it. After downloading the software, it does ask you to download an update(what??I just installed it..why didn't it give me the latest version??) Oh well, it then requested me to download 6 additional items with the upgrade. I would have preferred for the software and manual be within the packaging, however, I appreciate it was available in the download. After setting up, the scanner is a great little thing. The compact size is great to have out when needed or fit within a laptop bag for portability. It is solid and about 4-5pounds. The speed and quality are amazing. I scanned different types, sizes, and lengths and found no issues. Minor tiny issues occurred; however, I believe it was due to lack of patiences or coffee on my part. Nothing major and easy to overcome. It can hold papers to scan as you do not have to wait and scan one document at a time. Quality product.

Great Portable Scanner on the Go!

This scanner is quite impressive for its size and performance. I work in a typical office squared off in cubicles with limited spacing. This scanner’s size fits perfectly for my desk and it is very sturdy. It is not too heavy or light and the color black blends in nicely with my desktop. I have a Macbook Pro and a Windows Desktop so I switch the scanner to be used between both computers easily. The software to download was easy to locate and to install. I was up and running in a few minutes. The press of the scan button quickly scan all my documents and business cards. In terms of performance, this scanner is quite fast for its size. The scan quality is also very nice and the software makes it easy to use not worrying about needing to buy additional software. The all in one installer came with all the software you will need to get all the scanning done quickly. I think this scanner is business class and it’s worth the investment. If the price can drop by $50, I think it would encourage more consumers/businesses to buy it. I am not sure if there is a scan over Wifi model, but I would love to see that to avoid extra cables and set it as a scanning station for more people to use. Overall, a very solid scanner that every business should consider investing or if you just need a portable scanner that can perform, then this is a great choice to make. My father passed away recently and I was left with mountains of paperwork and files (he kept everything) that I didn't necessarily want to get rid of, but space was a premium. I keep good backups so the option of scanning all of it was attractive, but all I had was a flatbed scanner, meaning it's very high-touch. After researching document scanners, this one looked like it would fit the bill. And it does. It's fast - it seems to have internal memory so it'll keep scanning even if the computer can't keep up with the data it's receiving. It scans both sides of each page at up to 1200dpi. And you can put a pile of pages in it and it'll just scan all of them in order. You do have to kind-of arrange the pages so each page's edge sticks out a little more than the last, but you get the hang of it quickly. This made quick work of the paperwork I was drowning in, and let me get rid of the physical copies and reclaim a lot of space. I use it on a Mac with macOS's built in "Image Capture" app, so I can't speak to the quality of any included software. However it's nice to know it works great with Image Capture, and all the features, even duplex and combining multiple pages into one PDF, are available.

The ES-200 is a compact and weights around 2lb 7oz. It’s portable and handy to carry or use in a compact office table. The scanner looks attractive very well made, solid and durable. The directions are easy to follow; one should read the instruction very carefully. The software download was quick, finding the right driver is bit tricky and not straight forward. Setting up and installation went much smoother. The ES-200 is supper fast, I was surprised with the quality and speed of this scanner. Auto feed works really well, but you do have to be careful to stagger the sheets a little so that the back sheet is the first to touch the feed rollers. Document capture pro is a great software. I can scan a large volume of documents all at once quickly. I like the double sided scan option. I can now scan a lot in an hour, which would have taken many long time on all the previous scanners I have used. I like the multiple options to store all my files on cloud like in google drive, Evernotes, OneNote. Just set up the destination once to google drive or Evernote or OneNote and it will automate all sync process. This is a huge timesaver and benefit. Scanner is worth the cost, it’s solid and unique. I would recommend this scanner to anyone who is a moderate to heavy scanner user and has a portable or moving work space. I really like this scanner. The box was compact with no wasted material. The scanner was snuggled inside well protected. Included was the scanner, a USB3 cable (important), a power cable, and some paperwork. No installation media was included. I view this a plus, as I'm not going to use the installation CD anyway. I'm going to download the latest installer from the support site. The quite useful quick install instructions has a short and simple link to type in to download the installer. If your computer has USB3 ports, you can use the included (standard) USB3 cable to connect the scanner without a separate power cord. This is really nice. I ran the installer and the installation went without issues. The included Document Capture Pro software works well. I didn't have any problems with it. I was also able to scan without issues in Photoshop and Acrobat. Physical build on the scanner is excellent. It's extremely well made and very sturdy. I also like that it has a dedicated business card slot. I don't use these much, but it's nice to have when you need it. Could also use for keeping track of physical gift cards. All said, my experiences over the last few weeks with this scanner have been excellent.
