This is a great little scanner, it scans double sided items in a flash, it's small, has a rechargeable battery that can either be charged through the included usb cable or the power adapter. I have been using it to scan and share older photograph prints. It is extremely fast at scanning photos even on high resolutions. It recommends only 10 items in the adf tray at a time, however with careful placement I was able to stack a few more. It whips right through the stacks in no time. I have been using 400dpi, and the quality is great. I did have to adjust the gamma (+3) , brightness(+80) and contrast(-25) to achieve the best scan for the photos I was scanning. Everything looked good with the default settings, but I wanted to really capture as much detail as possible from the originals. It's also good to keep in mind that you need to adjust your monitor for the best natural color and lighting, as this may skew the outlook on your scans. connecting this through the usb cable to my pc was a piece of cake. -connecting directly to it from the pc for a wireless scan was also pretty simple. - connecting it to my existing wifi router has not happened as of yet. My router, provided by my ISP does not have a WPS button, so I just can not get it to connect otherwise. I have called customer support, but they said the issue was too complicated for the regular support team, and that I would have to wait for a call back from the advanced tech team. - I have also had issue with Epson's mobile scanner app (android - for Galaxy Note 8), I downloaded the app it only had about a 2.8 star average. The app looked ok, but was unable to find my scanner when I had direct connected to it, using the scanners own wifi. (so as of right now that is a miss as well). I am still hopeful that these issues can be resolved because I would love to take advantage of all the cool features of it being so portable, with the wireless scan features. It comes with a full software license to Nuance's Power PDF and has a great receipt scanner app as well, to help organize your purchases and documents. If all the features were working for me with this scanner I would rate it at least 1 or 2 stars over the max. But right now I can only give it 4, but I definitely would recommend this for others, based on how you want to use it . WPS seems to be a necessity if you want this connected to your existing WIFI. Hopefully I will be able to post an update later on, if I get my particular issues fixed

After using this scanner for a couple weeks I can say it'd be excellent for any home office and any business that works with documents. I've been using it for record keeping and digitizing a good number of documents to clean out filing space. It makes scanning documents, receipts, business cards and other loose documents a snap! The scanner includes software to convert documents to editable/searchable documents. So far my experience with this feature is that it works pretty well and the OCR works as good or better than others out there. For receipts in particular, I like it because it can identify dates, amounts and other key pieces of information so making it easier to categorize and process/save them in my accounting software. The scanner includes the Epson Smart Scan for accounting, and Nuance Power PDF which enables functionality beyond just simply scanning documents. Setting it up is a snap, simply select the mode (USB, WIfi Direct or Wifi to connect to your wireless network) then use the App on a Smart Phone/Tablet or PC to configure and use the scanner. It's easy enough to configure that when following the instructions, you won't need a special IT/tech to set it up. The scans come out clean and the best part is the scanner is capable of scanning both sides of a multi-page document duplex so it's blazing fast and makes scanning stacks of documents a breeze! Where it's battery operated it's completely portable and works with iOS and Android devices so you can scan and upload documents on the go. Scans come out clear and sharp. It's important to note that the scanner has a special way of scanning business cards so they don't get bent or jammed going through the scanner. I'd overall recommend this scanner because of it's included software, speed and functionality! For these reasons, it'd be a great tool for any business either on the road or in the office so you have flexibility to use it the way you want to.

The first thing I liked about this product was that setup was easy straight out of the box. Simply open up, unwrap and enjoy. The battery life was decent and I was able to use it throughout the day without it loosing power. I could take it around and use it wherever I needed it. Fits in a knapsack with ease. I tried using it both wired and as its own hot spot—worked great! Small, compact, and portable. Scan quality was good. My receipts looked perfect—I was able to get both sides of my receipts and documents at once—and I didn’t have to worry about losing them. The scanning software let me compile and use the data from my receipts without having to retype anything. The software also lets me export the scans as a PDF that I can search. I love this feature! I have been using this Epson Workforce ES-300WR for around a month and this is one handy machine that has simplified my life. It was easy to set up, works great and very user friendly. You can charge it up with a USB 2 or 3 port which takes about 1 1/2 hours and because it has a battery you won't have to be near an electrical outlet. I am very impressed with the size and the fact it's wireless. It weighs less than 3 pounds and is 14.25 × 3.5 × 2.5. It's so easy to load paper and folds up for easy storage. I love being able to scan whenever needed straight from my computer. I have always used Epson products and this is another one I highly recommended. You get what you pay for and with Epson you get high quality products that get the job done.

    So efficient!!

I got this Epson scanner this week, and when I saw the size, I was skeptical it would meet my needs. I am also far from being tech savvy, so I was unsure I could hook this up on my own, especially with such a small instruction sheet. I was WRONG on both accounts! I had this hooked up to my laptop in less than 10 minutes. The directions Epson provides are easy to follow and walked me, very clearly, straight through the process. I do billing and payroll from home, and while I can do some of my work if I travel, I always have a backlog waiting on me when I return do to my inability to scan a variety of documents needed for billing. I tested multiple documents, one sided and double sided, as well as multiple pages at once, and they all came out perfect. I cannot explain how excited I am about this scanner! It is lightweight and compact and will be so convenient to take with me. Along with the convenience of travel, I have an upcoming surgery that will limit mobility and I was unsure how I was going to go up and down the stairs to my office to do all of the necessary scanning. At least 60% of the items I bill require accompanying documents to be scanned in. This Epson scanner is a lifesaver! I will be able to use it from my bed, my couch, my table; wherever I will be most comfortable after surgery, and will not fall behind on work as I feared. On a personal level, I am excited to use the scanner to organize the file folders I have with receipts. I did not do it before because it was so time consuming to place each one in the copier portion of my printer/scanner, go through the process, remove it and start again with the next one. This scanner made it quick and efficient when I tested a few receipts out. I would highly recommend this Epson scanner. The quality is top notch, and the performance exceeded my expectations. The ease of use and efficiency both get five stars from me! This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

When I got this scanner I thought it was going to be another gadget that would be difficult in setting it up and getting it started. Thankfully, it turns out I was wrong. I’m truly impressed and really excited. Setting it up was a breeze. Just select the mode ( USB, WiFi,or Direct) to connect to your wireless network. From your tablet, computer or smartphone use the app to configure and use the scanner. It can be used wired or wireless. It had all the cables and power supply needed to get it done quick. It’s portable, lightweight and like I said quick set up. It has a battery built in. Once I had everything set up, it was time to start scanning. Scanning is what I did. This little machine is great. Quickly scanning in color or black/white. It can do 2sided as well. I also was sending some of the files to my smartphone and some to just save on computer. You can truly do it all. Time saving! You can even scan business cards, without causing the cards to bend or get stuck. The scans are clear. You can read the little print from gas receipts, etc. Able to save files in searchable files for a later date. In the end this scanner is definitely worth it. Im really looking forward to using my scanner and the easy processing it offers. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

This scanner is portable, and can be operated via wireless connection or via USB cable, and on battery or via AC power. The software is extremely easy to set up, no need to be a computer wiz, and once installed you can scan documents, receipts, or photos quickly and efficiently ! The portability part of it is excellent though - you can take it with you to meetings or anywhere that you conduct business and want to eliminate the need for paper documentation. My wife plans on putting it to use scanning all of our old receipts and I'm looking forward to having all the space back that these old documents are using in our drawers! Overall a great product and I highly recommend it to someone looking for a stand-alone scanner!

In two weeks I've used this to scan business documents, business cards, and several stacks of invoices. It has worked as advertised and I've had no issues. Setup on my wireless network required manually setting the SSID and password because the standard WPS connection method failed. When WPS connection fails the setup software let me select the manual connection. Since then I've had rock solid wireless connections. I also connected to another computer using the USB cable and connection was fast and easy. Software package installation was easy. Easy Scan 2 is the basic scanning software for quick scans. Easy Scan 2 Utility allows basic adjustments to the scanner. Epson ScanSmart is the accounting version of Easy Scan which allows receipts, invoices, and other accounting documents to be scanned and then exported to Excel spreadsheets or accounting software. This works but takes some manipulation of finished scans. I also received Nuance Power PDF Standard Software which allows PDF manipulation much like Adobe Acrobat Standard. These are all good software packages and all work seamlessly with the scanner. Scanner performance was excellent for me. Scans at 600dpi double-sided took just a couple seconds for each page and I am able to scan about 10 pages at a time before the scanner hiccups and starts not accepting pages. The scanner folds for travel and is quite compact. I purchased a travel case on Amazon which is an almost perfect match. It's the "Hermitshell Hard EVA Protective Travel Case Fits Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i Mobile Document Scanner ". Though it's made for different scanner the Epson fits in well with room for its A/C adapter, power cord, and USB cable. Just what I need for travel. I am getting good use from this scanner. I find it fast, mobile, and fairly compact and lightweight for travel. This is my first portable scanner. For home and traveling business use, I find it an excellent choice.

    Great Scanner

As far as document scanners go, this one is in the top of it's class. I have owned a few portable scanners and this one is by far the most intuitive. In my course of use I have easily been able to manage my huge pile of paperwork that was waiting to be scanned and entered into quickbooks. What usually takes me hours if not days to do, took me all of 2 hours to complete. It scans super quickly. The scan quality is great, so I don't have to rescan multiple times to get a clear view. Setup of this scanner was very easy on my Windows 10 pc. The wifi connection was simple and quick to connect and stays connected at all times. The battery life is great, lasting a few days before needing to be recharged. I like that it can still be used while being charged as well. The included software it came with made setup very easy. The other included software, BizCardTool, helps me manage all the info from receipts and business cards I scan by automatically inputting all the information and sorting it into the correct categories for later use. I did have a few slight issues with this scanner. My main issue was never being able to get the manual feed button to work. No matter how many times I pressed it, it would not feed my documents, therefore I had to use the software to scan every time. My other issue was with the size slider. On occasion it wants to slide by itself while a document is being fed through causing the document to skew. This is very minimal however so it doesn't seem like a big flaw to me. An incredible piece of technology - simply amazing

This is an amazing scanner - it feels like I've been waiting for so many years to have something like this come to market. I've owned scanners, used scanners, and even used my phone as a scanner. But nothing was going to prepare me for what this very small piece of technology was capable doing. First of all, it is battery, AC, or USB powered. So it can be setup as a WIFI device and you can move it around without being tethered to an outlet. Bravo! Or you can simply place on your desk and plug it in and use it that way. OR, you can use it in your car with a hotspot as the network connection, or even your car's wifi. But, since it has a battery, you can let is run on battery and scan. As for scanning, it is DUPLEX, so both sides will scan at the same time, with a huge selection of resolutions, and at a speed that will amaze you. I was amazed at how much this thing could scan and so quickly. The bad part is that there is no catch tray to catch what was scanned, but this is about portability, so no worries. There are many scanning options available to you so take your time and familiarize yourself with all of them. This is the accounting edition, so it has the ability to scan receipts right into quickbooks or excel, which I didn't try to do yet. I was just so amazed at the quality and speed of the scan, along with the fact it is dual sided, that I haven't gotten past that yet. I've been able to scan countless pages of stuff I've had sitting around that I wanted to scan, but never took the time to stand at the copy/printer/scanner to do it....it is a painful process at most of these big office behemoths. This is small, easy to use, with great software too! After 10,000 scans I think you are supposed to replace the rollers - which looks only like a few minutes to do and I'm sure at a fair price to buy the rollers. It will be totally worth it by the way to get this stuff I've accumulated and need to get scanned, out of my way. We keep paperwork for those times when companies aren't issuing electronic receipts, or delete online history after a certain period of time, many times before the warranty has run out. This is compatible with MAC or Windows - I am a MAC guy mostly so this was a major positive. Setup through MAC was easy, IOS setup didn't work as designed and had to go to the MAC computer. I cannot tell you how incredibly efficient this scanner is, and how it can help you digitize your life vs. having file cabinets full of papers. Scan them in and get rid of so many copies of paper you have sitting around. Think about it, you have so much paper that you rarely ever need to refer back to. For that one or two things you'll ever need to find or reproduce, why keep all that darn paper? You can scan, and find this if you ever need it again. Great job Epson, another great office product to help the workforce working as efficiently as possible.

I absolutely LOVE this scanner. It is so easy to use and set up. It took about 3 minutes to set this scanner up, I just opened the box and followed the instructions. The wi fi was a little bit tricky, but once I got it figured out it was a breeze. I also love the ability that I can scan documents of all sizes even those little pesky receipts. This scanner also comes with a cord so I can attach it to any computer and scan directly there if I have having difficulties with wifi and can get a pristine image of my documents. Every image is perfect and never seem to have to re-scan. The scanner is light weight and durable and makes it easy to travel, I just throw it in my bag and take it with me. I love that it is portable. I highly recommend this scanner for anyone who does a high-volume of scanning and does various types of scanning as well. First, it was easy to set up and the instructions were easy to read and follow. You can use this product via WiFi or USB. When I first tried the Epson WorkForce Ed-300WR first it was so quiet I thought I turned it off by accident. It also has an app you can download IOS or Android and you can scan from the app. This machine truly is simple and efficient. The copies that I scanned came out perfectly with the Epson. They are clear, not messy not scribble up just clear. When they merge into a PDF they were perfect. I like that it does not take space on my desk it is small I also like it works remotely as well. I received this little gem Friday, and though it did take me a while to figure it out I managed to get it to work. I was amazed at how compact and portable it is. It can scan documents and cards at the flip of a switch. It is also wireless capable as well as USB hook up. It was equipped with all the cables and power supply needed to set it up quickly. The program is downloadable and is fast to install. It is also capable of more than single sheets of paper and you can store receipts on you computer from the scanner in a breeze. It also has a built in battery that if need be can be used without the A/C power supply.
