The Epson - Workforce ES-400 Document Scanner is my little workhorse in my office and very reliable.

There are a few little picadillos that would prevent this from being 100% perfect but you'll forgive them as you plow through stacks and stacks of photographs with ease. It's almost more work deriving a functional naming convention to help you organize the collateral, than it is actually scanning. Keep the scanner clean periodically. AND if possible, use the somewhat short USB 3.0 cable and plug directly into your computer. This will just make things quicker and avoid the sometime hassle of the Wi-Fi settings. If you have piles of photographs awaiting scanning, this is the one you need. If gramma wrote on the backs of the pix, even better - you can scan the backs automatically with the fronts. Fan-freakin-tastic. Even better, get some friends together and make a group purchase. I got mine on sale for $499. Still worth every penny.

I bought this scanner for my office, and I love it made my job easier, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't scan IDs or DL so I still have to use my copier/scanner for that. However I love the speed and that it scans both sides, I still need to figure our how to set it up to scan and send document to email.

This very portable scanner does exactly what I expected, good quality and fast scanning.

I have had this item for 1 month now and it has worked flawlessly. I like that larger/ longer items can be scanned and specific folders can be set to allow saved files. Also you can make different templates. Relatively good speed for scanning. Only product I recommend that ay be better is the Fujitsu Scansnap.

Great little scanner. No problems with installing software on a Windows 10 laptop. Started scanning within 15 minutes of unboxing. Tried a 25 page document having text, charts and graphics. Scanned it scanned it fast than I coiuld keep count of the pages going through. On that speed admittedly the results were not that sharp in the detail. Slowing the speed or raising the quality helped and it was just as good as my flatbed scanner that would have taken forever. A nice feature is to be able to use the OCR as well as making PDF documents that you can do word searches on. Some of the carbon copy type receipts do come out a bit light but that is not that big a deal.

Installation was easy but follow instructions exactly. Once up it scans easy. Can set scan workflow in the app and control file names for saving. Scanner is very fast. Good scans. Double sided scan in one pass. Good software utility extras.

Easy to use and scans both sides of the paper with one pass! It also does well with a variety of paper sizes all together to scan. My office has a copier/printer/scanner but this is SO much more convenient and quick.

Have bought three of these for work. Great scanners. Fast and does everything I want easily. You wont be upset with this for work. Not sure if you are wanting high resolution as I am not using this for standard document imaging.

I purchased the Epson Scanner model 400. It was easy to install and download the software from the internet. It is very fast and easy to use.

This scanner did not work for me, but may work for you. I purchased this scanner for work as I need to scan purchase orders and associated documents on a regular basis. This scanner jammed every time I put a purchase order in the feed. Our purchase orders come in triplicate, which I think is pretty common. We have an old Epson 2500 scanner with ADF, and that scans purchase orders just fine, but for some reason this scanner did not. Alas, while I loved the tiny footprint, fast speed, and interface with Adobe Acrobat, it just didn't fit my needs.

The ES-400 setup was slick and I started high speed scanning right away. Though my all-in-one had scan function, the dedicated unit has saved enough time it probably paid for itself. Thanks.

Awesome scanner and really easy set up I like how quick it scans. I haven't seen any downfalls. All the equipment and instructions are easy to use and understand.

I purchased this scanner for my office. Liked it so much, I purchased 7 more for the staff. It’s relatively fast and works with the touch of one button. Helping us streamline our document management process.

This was super easy to set up and to use. I would have preferred the wifi model, but it wasn't worth all the extra money to me. This one works great and does an excellent job of scanning my documents. No complaints.

Fit my heavy needs as used in an advanced college setting!
