This a compact very fast scanner. It fits on our desk easily between our two computers. I also like the software which makes it easy to file the scans.

The Epson - ES 400 is both quiet and fast. It is also affordable. As usual, the Best Buy employee was very helpful in helping us make our decision.

I needed a compact document scanner at work as desk space is limited. The Epson ES400 had good reviews and I caught it on sale for $279. That is a bargain. I have already scanned several thousand pages with this machine and I love it. It detects paper length automatically so I can mix letter and legal size paper in the same scan. The included software is simple and intuitive to use. I read some criticism about the OCR software but so far I have no complaint with it. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I recommend it.

I am giving this scanner 4 stars because I think they could do better on the pricing. I am very happy with the scanner itself. It was easy to install and use. It is fast and good quality scans. I would buy this product again.

This scanner is the one of the best I have used and I have used the industry leader as well as others. It is fast, clear, and easy to use.

Works very well and incredibly fast. It is very accurate and scans both documents and photos. This has made working from home much easier. Instead of transporting heavy files back and forth, I can save the entire file to a flashdrive or cloud service. The program used for scanning and saving is easy to use. If the USB cord were a little longer, it would be nice, but it is not a deal-breaker. The scanner cover folds down to keep dust out. It is easy to transport.

The first unit we purchased did not work well, and had to return it. We purchased a cheaper version and it was horrible. We invested in this unit thinking to roll the dice and perfect! We believe the first one we purchased was defective. We have used it multiple times to scan documents and they come out crystal clear. The unit scans fast and downloads the documents quickly. It's a must buy if you have important documents to hang on to. It does well with pictures too.

I bought this scanner for my office. We have several ix500 scanners and they work better. However, i bought this scanner on sale and was all in for less than $300. Taking price into consideration, I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely make it again.

This Epson scanner was a big improvement from our previous one. It is very fast, has no issues pulling in any size document, and is very easy to use.

I purchased this product to scan 100's of old photos. I did not know what to expect. When I got it all set up (easy) I was so impressed with the photo quality and the speed of how fast the scanner scanned my photos. I would recommend the ES-400 to anyone who's looking to handle photo scans or just regular documents which can be can be saved in various Microsoft formats! Very Nice.

I recently found a box full of old family photos and wanted a way to preserve them. I looked up several photo scanners and this product seemed to be the best bang for my buck so I took a chance. It's very easy to set up and even easier to use. I especially love that I can scan multiple photos at once and that each saves individually. I highly recommend this scanner!

I am digitizing all my text books. I had a Brother ADS 1500 before. I could scan about 3 books a weekend with the Brother. I was able to scan 3 textbboks in a morning. I scanned a total of 18 books over 2 weekends. Another feature I love above it is you can see the page images as they are being scanned. It does not jam or misfeed often like the Brother one did.
