The first thing I noticed was this scanner was really compact in size. It takes up same area as my 13 inch Dell laptop!! The packaging was really neat and did not have a huge manual or software disc like I expected. (maybe a disavantage there as you need internet to install software). In turn there was a small leaflet on how to connect it and where to download software from. This is my first EPSON product and I have no complaints yet. Been usign it for a week now. It scans really fast. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-500WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I cannot believe that I waited so long to replace my old scanner. This scanner addresses all but one of the annoyances that I was encountering with my old Brother MFC. Dual-sided fast scanning, high clarity, auto-type scanning (determines B&W or Color), and ability to handle documents longer than 11.7" in length. The Nuance software that come with it takes a bit to get used to, but very versatile. That one thing that I mentioned above that isn't addressed too well... from time to time it jams up with no particular paper type. Still better than what I was working with before. Definitely recommend it.

This is worth every penny; it's so easy to use! I am so glad I purchased it! Years of accumulated tax returns and other business paperwork - all going effortless into the cloud or on separate drives ... (with proper security added, of course!). But this scanner makes that job so much more pleasurable because it's so fast and easy. Can't recommend it enough!

I've run a ton of receipts through this scanner. I previously used Fujitsu, but became frustrated with continual paper jams, misfeeds and misread receipts. This scanner is fast, and I've yet to have a jam or misfeed on a receipt! The OCR is fantastic as well, I highly recommend it. And for you Quicken users out there, scanning a receipt through the Quicken software works great!

We have tried several scanners. We have been real disappointed. When we purchased this scanner we have a fine machine. Its easy to use and it is real fast too. It is very user friendly. I would recommend this scanner to everyone.

I have been very happy with this scanner. I use it mostly to scan important documents around the house to keep down the clutter. It is fast & has only misfed one time & was easy to clear. Considering the software included it is a great buy!

This is a great scanner if you are looking to rid yourself of stacks of paper records/tax returns/important papers but want to have an electronic copy. The default setting of 200 dpi (which is good for copies of documents) you will be amazed at how fast it will scan through a pile of documents. Just be sure to remove staples from all pages. But if you miss one it does a great job of stopping the scanning process to allow you to clear the jam and then start over without having to rescan the previous documents. I love this capability. I purchased this primarily to scan documents, but you can scan photos as well. However if you are primarily wanting to scan photos it might be worthwhile to consider the Epson FastFoto FF-680W for a few dollars more. But for a general use scanner for home or office this is a great piece of technology.

Excellent Easy set up You don’t have to pick color or black & white it automatically knows there’s color - amazing Have the 510-DS but must be hard wired to computer- it’s amazing as well These machines are so fast

I have been using this for our small business since I received and I totally love it! I can scan and then save as PDF and move data into EXCEL. It's saved me so much time in so many ways! Glad I purchased!

The instructions to put the product in service were nothing less than poor. What seemed to be a plug and play item was anything but. I had to get someone who deals with computer programs and new hardware every day to interface the device with my HP computer and printer. I read the instructions thoroughly and followed each step carefully. When I finally got help after nearly 20 hours of trying and retrying to being the item on line, it took him 1 hour and he was doing some items that were not in the instructions. He said that if he wasn't doing reprograming and program install every day he would not have known what to do. Nice. You should include 2-3 hours of tech support to get the item on line. The scanner works very well once you get it on line, Scans different heights at the same time just fine.

I purchased this with the intent to manage my small farming business. I have a 2 in 1 printer scanner but the scans were slow and couldnt handle more than 1 document at a time and i had a lot of receipts I wanted to record. So I bought this scanner, fully intending on doing all the filing and sorting on my own and mainly just using the multiple document and fast scan times to help me out but i was thoroughly impressed with the software and its ability to sort documents for me automatically and extract info from the receipts which I can export and use at the end of the year during tax time. This is an organizers dream.

Very fast scanner and easy to setup. Scan dozens of documents at a time within seconds. As fast and cheaper than the fujitsu's I usually use.

Amazing scanner and quality of scan and ease of use. But only if you have 1 computer. If you need to wirelessly scan to multiple computers, you need to buy an additional $350 device that is separate; making the ScanSnap a better value.

This is an excellent mid range scanner with all the features of more expensive scanners. Only time will tell of its durability. Easy to set up. Lots of functions that most probably don’t use- but adds to flexibility

My only regret...not having bought this scanner earlier. Very fast speed, scans many pages, B/W and color and receipts at once. Also doesn't take much space on my desk.

I wasn't sure about sending that much to buy a stand along with a scanner vs. using the one in my all in one printer. You will not regret buying this wonderful scanner!!

I purchased this scanner because I used to love doing it with my printer but every time I run out of ink, I can't use the rest of the functions of the printer. Anyway, you do have to read the user manual in order to get acquainted with all the functions. My favorite is that I could connect to it via a wireless connection. I love trying to hide my cables from view and this is a dream. I waited a couple of months before leaving a review in order to make sure I did like it.
