I’m genuinely impressed with the Epson ES-580W. Setup was quick, and the touchscreen interface makes navigating scan options incredibly easy. Even for someone who’s picky about tech. I bought this for saving my tax paperwork so that it saves room. I did an entire year of paperwork in 10 minutes. Set up was fairly easy. I then began to use it for my classroom work. Very easy to scan in originals and then bring the file into a translation program for my language learners. An entire years worth of worksheets took 30 minutes. The quality is outstanding and I love the feature that puts two pages together. I did find it frustrating when it needed an update in firmware. As I am not comfortable with all the language I had to watch a video on how to do it. It also needed three updates in two months. A bit of a pain and I am not sure why it doesn't just ask if you are ready for it to update instead of hitting 6-7 buttons to get it done. I would buy it in a heartbeat again though. This is the only minor thing about this machine that I have encountered.

Just started using it, and so far, so good! There was a bit of a set-up process, but not insurmountable. The amazing thing: I fed in a pile of paper of different sizes, including small checks, and it was able to scan everything beautifully. I was really surprised at how well it did this.

The wireless capability makes it convenient to find a spot for it. The duplex scanning makes it a pretty quick scanner. The scanner incredibly easy to operate, even for those who aren’t tech savvy. We've had one in the office for 6 months and our office workers like it so much I had to order a second one. It's a little pricey but so far has been worth it.

WOW these are tiny now. This thing rocks. Simple set up to drop things into Drive, Dropbox, an email or a hard drive. Fast. Smart. Big stack of invoices? No problem. Loose leaf version of Homer's the Illiad? Piece of cake. Fast. Simple. Small. Perfect.

Great, quick scanner! I love how easy and quick 2 sided forms are. This helped me convert from paper files to electronic. And there was a lot of files!

Picked this up to do some duplex scanning. Been using HP for years, and after how easy this is to setup and how freaking is, not buying HP again. Epson wins this one, hands down.

This Epson scanner has all of the features I need - double sided scanning (what the pros call "duplex,") wireless upload to cloud destinations (I use Google drive,) and a color touch screen to adjust scan settings. I use the scanner primarily to declutter my life by scanning bills and letters as soon as I get them so I don't have paper lying around. The touch screen lets you adjust things like if the document should be scanned in black and white or in color. It's very easy to setup and use and feels sturdy in terms of build quality yet it is compact enough to fit anywhere. This scanner fits into my workflow because I can use the screen to decide where the document should go and the documents are scanned on both sides automatically. And what's even better is that, unlike other scanners, this scanner is wireless and can upload straight to the cloud without a computer. You can adjust where documents can go (called destinations) on the Epson website and it's all free. If I have a lot of documents they all fit in the 100 page input tray which is more than double what other scanners have. You are also able to quickly digitize business cards because it can scan those too without an issue and without manual cropping. The Epson-Workforce ES-580W is a fast and efficient scanner that is easy to use. I have not had any problems with jamming, and it handles a large stack of paper. I am very satisfied with my purchase!
