Amazing innovation to save on ink, brilliant idea, why they didn't think about earlier?!

This printer doesn't print or scan or anything. It will occassionally connect to my PC and print, but not always, and it takes a lot of rebooting and reconnecting. It will NOT connect to my mac. AWFUL TERRIBLE. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

This printer has been a giant paperweight in my house for 4 years. It has never worked without streaks and gaps in the page. Then a little while ago it stopped printing altogether. I've never had the chance to take it in to be looked at, and it's just sitting there. I would never recommend this printer to anyone.

I'm a mom of two that needed a printer for my kids school projects and my school volunteer work. I found the set-up easy and quick....absolutely no problems with filling the ink tanks. And I LOVE the fact that I won't have to run to buy expensive ink cartridges within weeks of setting this up. I should get 11,000 printed pages with the provided ink, this is huge! The epson app is a plus as well and i love the double sided print feature! I received this printer from in exchange for my unbiased review. It really is a great printer, highly recommend.

The product prints extremely slow. And I thought I could set up double sided printing with this expensive printer. But it cannot. It can only print one side at a time.

ET 4500 is a time and cost saver for my business

I own an interior design business, and we are constantly printing presentation documents, contracts, invoices and purchase orders. Last year, we spent a good chunk of money on ink replacement cartridges. Not only was this costly, but it was time consuming and frustrating to have to replace the cartridges so frequently.
Luckily, last October we were offered the opportunity to test-drive the new ET 4500 in exchange for a product review. I read about the features and the boasts about the printing capacity, but I had my doubts.
I can honestly say that I have been so pleased with this product. It was easy to install (I did it myself!), filling the ink cartridges was a little different than I am used to but easy none-the-less, and we've been printing from this original fill since December without having to refill yet! Each tank is still about half way full.
I would highly recommend this printer to other small business owners who want to save the hassle and money of replacing ink cartridges frequently.

I've owned HP printers since 1998, the change to this Epson printer best investment I've made in years. No more costly cartridges to purchases. Photo prints are very good. Scanner, copyer, fax are excellent. Epson tech support was excellent also.

I was eager not to have to buy cartridges. That appears to be the only pro for this machine. It has to be the slowest copier I've ever owned! Painfully slow!
I realize it is not touted as a great photo printer, but these photos fade in two weeks' time. Unacceptable.
The automatic page feeder will jam almost without cause, which leads me to think hand feeding the copier is less time consumming than this labor saving automatic feature.
And finally, the standard B/W print quality does not seem as crisp as the HP printer I used before. Not that the HP was perfect, it was not... which is why I replaced it.

Worst.Scanner.Ever. So-So Prints.

Really like the giant wells of ink that you can see the levels easily. But that is IT.
Print quality is only acceptable on the highest-quality setting, which is very slow.
The scanner software seems to date from the 1990s; lacks any sophistication whatsoever. Scanning with the feeder (ADP) is unable to detect the end of a document and thus always gives an error. There is no 2-sided copying, even manually.
The ADP jams easily. with all but the most ideal documents.
I bought it (way overpriced) for the big ink wells, but the poor design and software far outweighs the hassle of refilling ink cartridges.

After just a couple years I can’t even print a simple text document that’s legible. There’s lines through everything making the letters difficult to make out. Invested a ton of money into this printer for my business and it’s beyond frustrating that it was a complete waste. I’ve done every single thing on the list for troubleshooting and the lines will not go away. Don’t waste your money.
