Good quality prints for a home printer however this is the slowest printer ever not for heavy usage! My patience has run out full speed ahead back to a laser printer.

I wasn't impressed. It would get the job done, but everyone went on about how the quality of the print looks so much better than a typical inkjet. Not impressed.

For the price of this printer $400.00 the aesthetics of the device buttons and the exterior should be of better quality. It feels extremely made with low cost in mind but at a high price. My last printer I could print from all devices iPads and so forth. They said you can do that with this one. Three times connecting to my network it crashed my entired network. So I use it only with a USB connection. For me I hate it for others it might be perfect but I can't rely on it.

While the technology appears to be very interesting, in the end the printer does not work very well at all. I have had the unit less than a month and it will not print a single page without lines in it, black & white or Color it does not matter. Tried everything i could to correct the situation, I am going to return it.

Been an epson user for over a decade, with no problems. Was looking forward to this revolutionary printer that no longer uses ink cartridges. Yeah, it costs double of what its cartidge counterpart would cost, but it doesn't take much math to realize the savings that rack up when you factor in NOT having to buy ink cartridiges every few months.
I actually bought the 4500 first, but didn't like the rear paper feeding, and it was noticeably slower in its output. So i brought it back and upgraded to the 4550, which has the front loading paper tray and seems to be faster in its printing.
I've only had it a few days, but so far so good. I will update if any problems.

This Printer needs constant maintenance to work properly. It has a 1-yr warranty, but replaced with "Refurbished" model of the same. Very hard to understand Customer Service-Obviously not American Customer Service :(

This printer simple is a poor quality printer. From the beginning it had constant issues with connecting, printing scanning and quality of copies. I would not recommend!

Had multiple issues with the printer. Paper jamming, not wanting to scan or fax and the ink was very messy. I took it back and got a brother all in one!

The idea is great but it Freezes constantly

I like the idea of having a long supply of ink. Its fairly quick to print and easy to re-fill. My problem is the printer freezes constantly. Fortunately i have backup printers, but this is very annoying when in a business environment and everything is time sensitive. I have to unplug the printer and wait several seconds before plugging it back up to get it working again. I thought it was the computer at first but rebooting the computer solves nothing. The issue is the printer.

Vivid print much better than my previous Epson

I do A LOT of full color printing every day. This printer renders a much more vivid color than my previous Epson B-510DN. It will also pick up stacked glossy paper with ease, my old one I had to feed each sheet individually or it would feed multiple sheets and jam up. Now I just load 3-5 glossy paper and let it go! So much nicer. The print speed for full color is much slower than my old one but the tradeoff is worth every second. I've only had it for a few days but am very happy and I'm looking forward to the potential ink savings. On ink savings I have on print job that takes half of a magenta cartridge and at $60 a pop that costs me $30 for that print project alone. I'm looking forward to a head to head comparison in the near future for ink savings I expect it will be significant since the ink refill for this one is only $12.99 even if it takes an entire tank I'm saving 50%.

With my last printer I always felt like I was having to replace the ink cartridges so quickly and they are so expensive. The ink tanks on this printer are fantastic. I received the printer in exchange for my unbiased review and I can honestly say that this printer is legit. I work from home a lot when I'm not traveling so not only do I use it for business but my children use it for school and my wife for her community and school volunteer projects. It works great for all of us, my wife really likes the Epson app as she can print photos from her phone easily as well as double sided documents. Highly recommend!

Love the ink tanks, not the photo quality

My bottom line in selecting a printer is to get the best photo quality for under $600. It's always been a Canon for me because 1) the separate ink cartridges and 2) the best photo prints. I got the Canon MG7520 less than a year ago and while it prints photos beautifully, the price and frequency of replacing its ink is ridiculous. The Epson ET-4550's tanks would be worth the higher price but its photos are muddy compared to the Canon's. I'd say its quality is about a 5 while the Canon's is a 10. Other than that, it has a lot of great features.
