I love the ink for this printer cuz it is liquid not powder and there is no mess, but we’ve have had some issues. Our first one stopped working before the 90 day warranty ran out.

I really like this printer, except for the fact that it does not have a print status, like all my other Epson, and Canon printers do. It has the ink level status, but I can find no way to determine how many pages in a print job have been printed. This is a pain in the butt when I am printing large amounts of pages, and want to know how many have printed, and how many are left to print. In the short amount of time I have had this printer, I have printed 5982 pages (full color). If I had a stoppage, it was a pain to have to count pages that were done, because there is no available job print status. When I found this out I almost returned the printer, because I was really upset after talking to Epson "tech support" Who had a serious attitude, in telling me, that the new printers don't have that option anymore. If I had not been in a real pinch and needed a printer, It Would Have been Returned. This needs to be fixed and added back into the printer. If it isn't, then this may well be the Last Epson printer I will buy.

It comes with 4 nice and big ink tanks so that I can print over 10,000 pages of documents. Also I like it for printing beautiful photos as well as printing all my personal greeting cards to my friends and relatives.

I went in looking to get a 4 in 1 printer to replace my old one and the employee showed me the Eco Tank. I used to have to buy ink once a month so cartridges add up, this printer saves me from buying ink so often. Very easy set up and I love that I can print from my phone anywhere. I had to catch up on a lot of work and printed at least 150 pages and my a few photos and my ink didn't move!! I highly recommend this product for home office use. More out of pocket to start but in the long run will save hundreds

Hard working printer-worth the extra money

I was very interested in this printer because of its claim that you would not need to buy ink for 2 years. Environmentally that is very appealing, but the printer itself would need to do a good job as well to make it a good deal. We needed to replace a nine year old HP Photosmart printer that we just loved. I had kept the printer a year longer than I should have because I couldn't find one I liked to replace it. The HP finally died in early February so I had to buy one ASAP. I did some research online about the Epson EcoTank printers and, like all reviews, there were good ones and bad ones. Mostly the reviews were good and sounded like the printer would fit our needs exactly. We print documents, both color and black and white. I print on fabric sheets to make labels for quilts. We do print photos, tho not as much as we used to. We do have a Canon professional quality printer for photos now so that is not really important to us anymore. Bottom line, I bought the printer and am very pleased. Set up took less than 30 minutes (wearing gloves, putting paper towels under the printer, and being patient were all good tips from the reviews). All 6 of our computers and devices had no problem finding the printer. I am able to print from smartphones and tablets now-9 year old printers can't do that -LOL! The quality of the printing has been excellent on everything we have tried, with the exception of glossy photo paper. I don't know why that doesn't work, but when I have time I intend to work on the issue. I am very happy with the purchase. I bought it during a promotion to trade in your old printer and get $100 off so that made it even more attractive. And the printer came with extra bottles of ink included so we may not need ink for 3 years! Even when you go to buy more ink, the price for a bottle of colored ink is $13 and black less than $20 (it is bigger). You are putting a lot of money into the hardware upfront, but if you can do that your operating costs are much cheaper than conventional cartridge printers.

I have been very pleased with this printer. The quality of print is good and the ability to print double sided is handy and efficient. The printer came with the a large supply of ink. Since this printer has refillable ink tanks, it will be great to not have to purchase expensive cartridges. My one disappointment, the printer only has one paper tray making it inconvenient to add a single sheet for printing.

My only Negative is the auto document feeder can't handle more than about 10-15 pages without jamming. Outside of that this is a great product. Sips ink.

Got soooo tired of running out of ink and the high cost of it! Then I happened to spot Epsons tank printers! The hardest part was deciding which one I wanted that filled my needs and wishes! Thus I chose the ET 4550! Wireless printing from all my devices, easy to set up, and perfect color wether it's plain paper or glossy photos! Dedicated paper tray, easy to change sizes. Been printing like crazy, and the ink has barely moved! Worth every penny I paid for it! Way to go EPSON!

Great color printer with very cheap ink. Finally color printing is not as expensive. The printer itself is expensive, but with high usage, it is worth it.

Having had several "all-in-one" printers in the past, i've felt they were just cash machines for the manufacturer. Very costly inks lasted a few weeks and a "cheap" printer quickly became very, very expensive. The Epson Eco Tank is a revolution as far as i'm concerned. The visible and generous ink tanks print and print and print with no noticeable drop in ink. The print quality is excellent. My son printed more than 100 stunning color photos on 8x10 photo paper; the tanks still look full having barely dropped below the fill level. With my previous printers, no question, this would have led to an ugly conversation between he and I, and been very costly. Three minor downsides: 1) The printer is a little slower than my other printers. I can be patient or schedule large print jobs. This is a home office printer for us. If i were doing many heavy print jobs on deadlines, speed would be an issue. 2) The little LCD messages take some time to get used to, and; 3) The set-up process and time is not at the level i'm accustomed to for Apple devices (obviously not an Apple). Scans are sharp and quick. Wireless works well. All in all, the print quality and print affordability make this printer an excellent buy in my book.

I was tired of the cheap printers but the high prices for the ink cartridges. I spoke w/ a Best Buy Rep and explained my frustrations. He recommended this printer. Yes the cost is more upfront and changing the cartridges takes a bit more precision but i have really enjoyed it. It is a bit louder than i am used to but its preformed as desired. I've had it for a couple months and have a ton of toner left. Very pleased with it.

I really like that the ink reservoirs are refillable and that the ink lasts for months depending on how much I have to print. I recommend it to everyone. It was also priced reasonably.

I bought this printer to replace another brand. It is much slower than to what I was familiar, especially in duplex. In short I have bought a much faster printer for about half the cost of this printer. It was tiresome setting up the WiFi with telephone-like (push the abc button three times to enter c, etc.) and also not all that straightforward to switch between caps and numerals. The only plus is the ink will last forever.

After going through one dell and two Epson printers - we are sticking with this one. We are having a small problem with the network printing - sometimes it just doesn't print - so we have to reset it. But the toner supply makes it worth it. I am no longer buying cartridges - this will last me a year. The Dell printer - costed $300 for the cartridges and the other Epson printers needed a new cartridge every week. Not perfect - but so much better than what we had. Quality of the print is ok - not as good as HP.

I bought this printer for home and small business use. I originally purchased one extra set of ink. To date, we have not gone through the one extra set of ink. I believe we have owned this printer for almost 2 years. My wife is a realtor and she prints tons of documents daily. I have printed at least 1000 power points in color. This printer is the most ink efficient printer that i have ever come across. Thank you EPSON for making a printer that is a great value and saves the customer 100's of dollars in ink. Best value for a printer!!! You will not be disappointed.
