Costs of ink for our old printer were getting really high, and we needed a printer for working at home. This fit our need. Super ready set up from their website. Pages print quickly and of high quality. Takes up some desk real estate, but not as much as our old one.

This printer is certainly for a small home office. It has the print, scan, fax and copy features. The paper trays appear to hold about 1/2 ream of paper each (2). The print function is fast. Don't know about the ink usage. A set of ink cartridges cost about 1/2 as much as the cost of the printer itself.

I bought this printer to replace and old Brother Laser Jet in my home office, and I debated between this and another Brother Laser Jet. I have to say I'm disappointed with my decision to get this one.
First the pros:
- nice touch screen interface
- easy to use over Wi-Fi
- easy to scan directly to a network share
- reasonable print and scan quality for the price ($89)
Given the price ($89 on sale), I'd typically find it hard to complain about anything. But this device just doesn't live up to Epson's claims and the device fails on many of the selling points.
First, I'll start with printing. The printer jams with nearly every job. Beyond that, Epson claims a 20 page per minute black and white speed and 10 for color, which is in line with the speed of my old Brother and was a major selling point. Although my Brother did that speed with no problem, this Epson gets no where close. In practice, it takes 4-5 minutes to print 10 pages black and white, dual sided. I expect some slow down, but not that much! And that doesn't count the time spent removing jams or the additional 4-5 minutes spent reprinting the document after the jam (rather than reprinting jammed pages, it just skips over them, so you're left missing multiple pages from your document). This last point could cause ink and paper costs to nearly double.
As for the scanner, Epson decided to include an auto document feeder, although I'm not sure why. This was another major selling point. First, it doesn't allow dual sided scanning; this must be done manually with the flatbed. (This is burried in the specs somewhere, so I knew before purchasing, but it's not obvious so I thought I'd state it here.) More importantly, the ADF jams continually. In my short usage, the fail rate is about 25%. In other words, the 20 page document I just scanned only showed 15 pages in the scan, and this is the rule not the exception. The only way around this is to manually feed the paper into the ADF (but that defeats the purpose of course!) or use the flatbed. On top of that, the whole ADF paper feed mechanism popped out of the printer when I was removing one of the many jams, and sent small plastic gears and metal springs flying all over my desk. I was able to get it reassembled and working, but I don't think the average user would be willing to reverse engineer the mechanism and put it back together.
Finally, Epson does not provide good support for Linux drivers for this printer, and I have as yet been unable to network it through my local Linux print server. I can print from Linux via Wi-Fi print, but I'd prefer to use my wired server instead.
Bottom line: OK printer if you can get it for less than $100, just don't get it for the ADF and be willing to deal with frequent paper jams when printing. For me personally, I would never buy this printer at full price, and would not buy it again any price.

Has been working great for awhile now. Once I installed the network it connected well. Let it update, initially. All my devices found the printer with ease. Beautiful copies and no fuss.
I was glad to dispose of my hp printer. It never worked right.

Although it's wireless I had an ethernet connection available and used that. Easy setup and I've been able to print from our multiple laptops, Windows/Linux desktops, iPhone, and Android easily. Copier works great and fax was just as easy.

For under $100 I was able to replace a broken Epson Workforce 30 printer with an Epson that includes a printer, copier, scanner, and fax (that I'll never use). It takes up quite a bit of space, but the quality of all its function is excellent, It doesn't even consume that much ink.

So far so good. We have had the machine for about 2 months now. It scans and copies and prints from all of our devices easily. Two things - the top most used paper bin is cheaply made - when you need to add more paper it takes a little wiggling to get it back in. And 2 the inks seem to be used quickly. In that time we don’t print much and I’ve gone through two sets (not xl). I did find these ink cartridges cheaper than some others but still $20+ each! Adds up.

This has been our 3rd Epson of the same product family. Well designed with lots of features at a great price. Only problem is they ALL stopped printing after a year or so.
Considering we only print a few hundred pages a month on average, the reliability is terrible. Stay away from this Epson printer family due to the poor reliability.

I upgraded from a former workforce 3640 which ran like a champ for a few years, so after reading reviews I decided to stick with this known brand and line.
The printer itself is fantastic. I love having 2 paper trays, the auto load scanner, it's just a great device. I can print photos to frame that come out beautifully.
I use it for business for brochures, handouts at workshops, promotional items, tags, flyers and photos, double sided documentation, signage. And I use the scanning quite a bit too for correspondence contracts etc.. Flawless.
My complaint is with Epson as a manufacturer.. they have the firmware so that you HAVE TO use ONLY Epson replacement ink.. and well gosh the cost for one set of ink cartridges is over half the cost of the whole printer. So unless I can find a work around to this I will probably go with HP next time around or any brand that will accept remanufactured ink cartridges.
Printer is awesome. Yes I recommend it.

This printer is excellent printer from Epson. The ink is separate and you can buy them individually and replaced them. It print quality print and it has a scan feature and it is WI-FI capable. It also has two paper trays and you can scan several pages at the same time.
