Not only does it waste more expensive ink. It also prevent you from printing in black ONLY when any one of thI discovered the hard way and months later that this printer uses up your colored ink when printing in black. This is by design. Not only does it waste more expensive ink, it will stop printing one any color runs out. You MUST replace the empty color cartridge, otherwise it WILL NOT LET YOU print at all. Not even if you choose to only print in black. This forces you to buy color ink even if you will never gain use color. I wish I had seen the YouTube vidoe on this so called feature. The bummer is that I rarely print in color. To make matters workse, it now puls in 2 or more pieces of paper every time it prints. No paper jams, all paths are super clean. So I know need to feed one piece of paper at a time. I'm now looking for another printer and will for sure NOT by another Espon printer. This is not their only model that wastes your colored ink. Look up this issue on YouTube.

Posted .Hi E320BZ, Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged, preventing air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head. This sucks because most prints are black and white, and you can’t even do that if one of the other colors are out. Other than that it is a good printer.

It's hard to configure and seems to loose it's connection to the wireless network. It's hit or miss if it's going to work when you need to print. I'll go back to Canon.

Progressively getting clogs and print quality went downhill until now is useless, the maintenance pack report is only at 50%. Would most of the time output several sheets at a time when only 1 copy was selected. Tech support I never ever got a reply from them either by email or phone. User interface LCD is rather small to navigate. I also have an ECO Tank that went kuput after first ink cycle, I have decided done with Epson.
