    This printer is not what I expected. The printer makes a noise when printing. It is also quite slow, and uses ink very quickly. It also has a bad habit of pulling multiple papers through when printing creating a problem on multiple levels. The plus would be that it is easy to set up on wireless print and that works well

    EPSON has issues as I use to think they were a pretty good way to go, my first EPSON lasted maybe 5+ years of pretty flawless work. This EPSON printer failed almost out of the box. Good Bye EPSON!

    I have been using the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 for a little while now and have been nothing but impressed with its printing. The quality and speed are incredible. It is also amazingly quite. I was printing a 30 page document the other day and my wife kept asking if I was going to print it. She was a little ways away from it, but even siting right next to it, I can barely hear the print head move back and forth. It was also really quick. I have had some older printers that I set the print quality down pretty low and gotten this sort of speed, but not nearly the quality and quietness. Scanning was also quite easy to do and save to any location I wanted on my computer. The setup was quite easy finish as well. I have had a time with many printers I install, and that’s a lot as a System Admin. The first attempt did actually have an issue, but I found the problem was that I had 2 different wireless networks, and the printer was on one while my laptop was on the other. Other than that, it is a very nice printer overall. I am now considering purchasing a few more for my company. The only thing I have really found wrong with the printer is the software to scan. It wasn’t really made for scanning pictures easily. You can of course tell it a custom size, but it would be nice to have the defaults for something like a 4x6 picture when scanning. I realize this is more of a business printer, but I to like to use it for both work and personal. Documents scanned with a breeze though. Overall, I would let anyone know this is a much better printer than I have used in the past. Since this is a review from a unit I received for free, I don’t think I can tell the other brands I have used, but it has been many of the top ones. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    The Epson all in one printer has the capabilities to scan, print, copy and fax. I was able to play around with all settings minus the fax because I do not  have a landline. For a business setting I could see this being useful, but at home not so many people own a landline now a days.  When you first open the box, you will pull out the very large printer - 16 in length x 12.5 in width x 13 in height. Once you pull out the trays to catch the printed paper it expands to 16 in length x 20 in width x 13 in height. The machine has a touch screen monitor, two trays which hold about a 500 sheet capacity between the two trays, wireless connectivity, smart phone printing and memory device capabilities. The set up of the wireless connectivity to the network and my laptop was easy and simple. Another options available, is smartphone printing. It is very easy to set up and use. I was able to print from my phone within minutes after setting it up. The scanning capabilities are pretty good and when doing colors they are pretty close. Not exactly the same color shades, but pretty similar (see picture below). I was able to copy a full color image (postcard size) and have it printed in 10 seconds. Copying that same image in black and white took a total of 8 seconds. This is one of the fastest printer I have ever owned. It is not very loud to begin with, but there is an option to have it print in silent mode. Silent mode, is pretty quiet. Though note, it will take a little longer to print.  After reading, it was stated that the ink provided should last for 500 black and white or 450 color images. This is amazing compared to most cartridges that print and average of 225 pages. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    Did not work for me in the long run. Started having issues and returned in store since I had purchased a protection plan. Retunred it less than a year.

    Perfect All-in-One Printer for Home

    This printer has everything I need and more! It prints, copies, scans, and even faxes if I need it to. I don't have a use for scanning much these days unless I have to send something to a business, but it's a nice feature to have if I need it. The quality and speed have been very impressive too, as I have not had any lag time getting all of the documents printed. It's a bit larger than I anticipated, but for all of the features such as the 500 page capacity and scanning ability I can't complain! It's no larger than my computer monitor right next to it, so it's really not bad at all I am old-fashioned in the fact that I like to still send postcards to family and friends for holidays. I often like to find the designs and ideas from the internet first and print them out and customize and add glitter and things later. The quality and crispness of the colors has been perfect. Honestly though, like a lot of people, I rarely use my desktop computer for much, so my favorite part of this printer by far has been the built-in wireless features. I connects to my home network via Wi-Fi and between that and the NFC capabilities via the App, I don't have to go log into my computer to print, and instead can do it straight from my phone. I love this printer! This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    I bought this printer just a little over a year ago. It started giving me ‘printer head may require maintenance’ error message and shutting down all the time. I called support about the defective product, they told me it is out of warranty so they can’t fix it. This is the first and last time I’m buying Epson. I’ll be going back to HP printer which have run for years for me without any issue.

    Ink Cartridges

    I was not told that even though I print in black ink, this printer will use a small portion of the color ink. Without color ink you cannot print with this printer. You are not able to bypass the color selection. The color ink cartridges are about $80 per purchase. 4 Times a year for a total of $320. This makes this printer very expensive in the long run.

Even when you are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged, preventing air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head.     Too many steps to follow for each function, no immediate fax confirmation, searching screens for it. Not at all user friendly. Drawers don’t open easy either.

    Worked perfectly fine in the beginning, but after a while it kept draining brand new cartridges right after replacing them.

    This printer drinks ink!! I purchased ink on May 5th. I have hardly used maybe 5 times and the color is already showing at 1/2 gone! The ink is over $100 for this unit. Don't buy it. I have had the worst time with this machine.

    After only using this printer twice the auto paper feeder constantly jams, does not feed paper straight. Can’t put more than two sheets in the APF without it jamming or the paper gets stuck halfway.
