After one year later, the printer was very slow printing. It would take like 5 to 10 minutes for one page to be printed!! May have to buy another printer. :( The best printer I ever had was Espon XP 830 and it lasted more than 3 years!! Unfortunately, it is no longer manufactured.

I have had nothing but problems that absolutely limited my use. Even the Geek squad assistance could not keep this printer operational. It included connection issues, slow, failure to print, jam errors when there were no paper jams. This is a second bad experience with an Epson.

The New Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 is a nice all in one printer for the consumer that needs the capabilities of an all in one but wants the quality of a laser printer without having the laser cost of ownership price. I was looking for printer that had an automatic document feeder for double side scanning and copying and could print on both sides. I also needed a printer that my family could use and connect to easily via their smartphones and tablets. The WorkForce Pro WF-4730 was easy to set up out of the box. Following the installation guide got me up and running in less than ten minutes. I was surprised how easy it was to use the built-in touch screen to configure the printer and get it set up on my wireless network. The use of the WPS button on my router made wifi set up simple and secure by just following the prompts from the printer. The ability to scan to my Google drive or OneDrive accounts was a big plus. I find myself doing a lot more scanning of documents then printing and like the ability to scan and save all my documents with a touch of a button. Having the document feeder is an extremely helpful feature and I am relieved to not have to load each document one at a time anymore. This all in one is great for the average consumer or for the home office. Families will find it easy to use and have all the flexibility to print from their portable devices. I ordered this through Best Buy's website as a new printer and received a used one. The packaging was already removed and the ink cartridges were already installed and emptied. I had to pay an additional $113 for the replacement cartridges.

First off I’d like to mention how easy set up for this Epson Workforce WF-4730 printer was, the touch screen display basically walks you through setup step by step making things simple, and if you’ve set up any printer before you shouldn’t have any problems with this one. The packaging on the product is great too for a larger printer. The size doesn’t bother me since my prior outdated printer was a bit of a clunker to begin with, but the bulkiness of it may scare some off at first. A feature I love is the ability to print from my smartphone!! I can’t tell you how handy this is and will be for myself, and my on the go family! The USB direct print option will also be a huge time saver as well!! Another feature I loved was scanning, it was easy to scan and save documents directly as PDF, which is the format most of my scanning is saved as. Scans looked clear on the review screen on my computer. Fax capability could be a plus for some, I personally don’t use that feature from home, but I’m sure it’s nice to have for many. Two trays and double side printing I think will come in handy in the future for us as well, I’ve never had this on a printer at home. I haven’t had it long enough to know how long an ink cartridge will last, but hopefully this will have a long life before needing replacement! I always find this as my main issue with printers, so I’m curious to see. I also am looking forward to trying to print some summer photos from home on this machine. So far I’d recommend this printer for home or office use, it will be sufficient for our needs of printing, copying, scanning and then some (faxing). The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 is a great option for high volume home office and small office users that are looking for a very capable all in one with some nice extras. When the box arrived, I was surprised at the heft of the unit, this seems to be a good sign that heavy duty parts are used for this unit which is meant for higher duty cycles. The unboxing was very straightforward, Epson does a very nice job packaging the unit and even includes some handles built into the plastic bag so the printer can be easily lifted from the box (nice touch). After removing the typical packing tape, the printer was ready to configure. The power on and ink installation (the printer comes with 4 starter ink cartridges) was easy, clean, and fast. I was also able to get the printer connected to Wifi easily using the on screen menu of the printer (wired Ethernet is also an option) and was able to use the AirPrint feature to print from my iPhone in just minutes from unboxing which was great. Setup on my computers was also smooth. I installed the printer drivers and tools from the Epson website on both Windows 10 and Windows 7 PCs and had only a brief issue with one of my Windows 10 PCs that ended up being a network issue related to that PC, otherwise I had no issues getting the drivers loaded and the printer working for all systems. In my use so far, when set at Standard or High Quality print, the printer has excellent text quality and very good image quality, also the print speed at Standard is very fast (almost twice as fast as my previous printer) so I think I will run in Standard mode most of the time. In Draft quality, the print speed is a bit faster, but the print density is much lower, so this mode will only be used if we want to conserve ink for draft reviews. Overall I am very pleased with both the print speed and the print quality from this printer. Beyond printing, this all in one has many high end features: scan, copy, fax, auto document feeder, auto duplexing, AirPrint and NFC printing, USB direct print, two large paper trays, easy to use touch screen and features typically found in higher end units like scan to email, scan or copy punch hole removal, and shadow removal. At this price point, this is a great value with high quality printing and many features useful for SOHO users. I would not buy this Printer again, today I'm going to best buy at Rio Hondo Mall to see what they going to do. This Printer is asking for new Cartridge , even when had new one inside bur not recognized them.

Kept saying it had a jam, which it didn't. Spent several hours trying to fix it and talking with Epson on phone. Sent to first one back got a second one and with in two months it did the same thing. Threw it out!

Unboxing of the Printer: Box is quite large, it comes with setup instructions (very easy to follow), user manual, an installation cd (I recommend you just grab the latest Software from Epson website), power cord, and start up toners (all colors). Overall very well packaged, printer did not have any damages. Setup: I followed the setup instructions that came with the box, it was super easy to follow the instructions. I used the Wi-Fi to up setup the printer, without having to install any software on my PC yet. I was successfully able to setup the printer to my network. After doing so, I was also able to update the firmware right from the printer. Took me about 10 minutes after taking out of the box for setup. Print Test/Hardware/Scanner: It prints really fast and good quality too. I was amazed by the speed of the prints. I printed both in color and white/black, quality of the prints were excellent. Terms of hardware the touch screen is very responsive, I had older brother printer and the touch screen was not the greatest. I scanned couple of documents using the printer and it worked as expected. I am able to scan to any types of formats (PDF, Jpeg, etc..). Overall I would have to say printer is little bit on the bigger side. Smartphone Printing: This is one of the best feature of this printer. After registering Epson Connect, I was given a printer email. This feature works printing from remotely when you are not on your home network. I tested this feature few times when I was miles away from my house and printed few documents using the app on my phone. Overall: This is excellent printer, it prints fast, quality of the prints are great, scanning features are great. Overall size of the printer could be smaller, but if you have the office it should not matter. Smartphone printing one of the best feature of any printer. The printer has a neat and compact design in comparison to its competitor products on the market. The LCD is of better quality with a higher pixel density than most printers I have seen. The 500 page capacity is another great feature that I wish I saw in more printers. Not only is the printer easy to set up, but is significantly faster in printing and scanning documents and images. The printer took me two minutes to set up, then about four minutes to prime the print head, and the printer was ready to use. Having already owned an HP Office Jet 8600 Pro and an Epson WF3640, I find the clarity in the printed images of this printer to be of huge improvement over the others. Dual sided printing is very convenient on this printer as well, as manually flipping the document is unnessesary. The printer not only conects to the home WiFi network, but has WiFi direct, allowing guests to use the printer from their mobile devices without needing to login to the home network. Printing from a mobile device or tablet without needing any setup is a convenience I really love with this printer. Some great extra features include its ability to save scanned documents via the cloud for which I use Google Drive. It also has the ability to use connected USB drives as network storage devices to which you can save scanned documents and images, this allows me to access my files from any computer in my home. Epson connect allows me to email documents and have them print remotely as well. The installation of the Epson iPrint app makes the management of the previously mentioned features easy to access from one place and allows you to check ink levels, update the firmware and buy ink directly from your mobile device. The Printer worked great at first but now it feeds about 5 papers through at a time and prints partial on each one... I tell you what, waste of paper, ink and time.... avoid this one...

Unfortunately the LCD screen on the printer has a leak and doesn’t work correctly. I took the printer out of the box yesterday and it was like that. Also mobile printing glitches out every time.

Printer would not even turn on. Store staff was unable to get it to turn on. Not even 1 light turned on. Needless to say it doesn't print!!!!

This is a really nice printer. Construction is very sturdy. It's not quite as sturdy as the big enterprise printer at my office that's the size of a small car, but it's built much better that your average consumer printer. The hinges feel good. Paper trays slide nicely and are not at all flimsy. The whole thing just feels pretty substantial. I like that in a printer. Seems like it's made to last a while, as opposed to some of the 'disposable' printers being sold currently. Setup was very easy. I'm using a Windows 10 desktop. I decided to set it up using the wireless connection. I don't have room in my computer room currently for another printer, so this one's going downstairs. The touchscreen, while a bit small is very responsive. The wizard for connecting to my wireless network was simple and painless. I was very happy to see that when I got upstairs to my computer, that the printer was already installed and available. I didn't have to do *anything*. Very nice. I printed a test page and it came out fine. I've been using the printer for a few days now. Print quality is excellent for office docs. I haven't printed any photos, as I don't really care about that. It's fast and best of all, it's very quiet. Duplexing works great. Paper handling is fine. I like the dual paper trays. The scanner works as advertised. Don't do much of that. All in all, I'm super happy with this printer. I'm sure it will last quite a while. Currently, unsure how to rate this printer. Have been unable to use printer due to being unable to have Dell PC recognize printer!!☹️

The WF-4730 is, by far, fully packed with many features. USB, WIFI, NFC, ethernet, Google Cloud Print, and its own email address has made printing from multiple locations a snap. At various locations, I’ve had to take pictures for work of various car parts. Instead of waiting until I got home or back to work to print, I have simply been forwarding the pictures to the printer’s email address and when I get back I have photo quality print outs. The print outs are of high quality as well. Even on basic cheap paper. Was looking at a color laser printer before receiving this printer for better quality color prints then my old bubble jet. This is definitely a better option a cheaper price. Also easy to save a ton of money printing work brochures. When you need one, print, double sided. Only print one when I need one at the same quality if not better than at the printers. . One caveat of the printer is the set-up process. Though quite simple it does take a bit of time to get everything going. Between the software installation and the firmware update the printer has go through, it does take about twenty minutes or so. Not too excessive bad but a bit time consuming.\ This is definitely a printer I can recommend. I had this printer for 3 months and the scanner option quit, which made the all other options unavailable. I returned it on Jan. 7, 2020

Paper jams all day every day. My friend had the exact same one and had all of the same problems. I hated this printer.

This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. First impressions are that this is a good sized printer with a very small screen. While the screen in small the printer is very capable and has ourperformed my previous B/W laser printer, both in color and black/white printing. The ability to print double sided is great and very quick. Print quality is not quite a crisp as my old laser, but significantly better than the previous inkjet printers I have had in the past, a mix of HP & Lexmark units. The printer doesn't have an overly large footprint, but is taller than my previous MFP unit. With a cabinet overhead at my work desk, it is difficult to fully open the top cover to place a sheet on the glass. I just use the tray at the top for scanning/copying single pages. The power cord that came with it is also not that long and does not have the typical IEC 320 C13/C14 that most computers and devices use. Rather it has the IEC 320 C5 which required me to rearrange my desk as the cord wasn't quite long enough for where I had the outlet strip plugged in to. Overall, I really like this unit and will continue to use it.

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4730 arrived in a good size box that had handles to easily carry to an unboxing location within my house. The printer came with easy to follow setup instructions and 4 starter ink cartridges. Setup took me about 10 minutes that includes WIFI and ink cartridges, very easy and clean process. As I work from home with a Network Marketing Business I print a lot of documents and informative product pics and info from my computer, phone and tablet. I was able to have all my electronic devices setup to print to this printer within minutes, very easy process (i use Windows 10 on my computer). This printer features 2 large paper trays, scan, copy, fax, duplexing, Airprint and more. The easy to use touch screen feature is a BIG plus for me as when setting up the printer it speeds up the process. The print speed is fast and the quality is very impresive, you can email documents, scan to email, and a USB support to save your scans. This printer is amazing and I would highly recommend purchasing this. The price is a great value for the features that come with it.
