So far, I've been impressed with this printer and it has a few nice features that are new to me. Setup was very easy via the display, which is actually touch screen enabled. The touch screen operated more like a modern smartphone than the older printer interfaces I've seen on other printers. Very easy to use. One thing I really liked was that the printer automatically checked for a firmware update and installed as part of the setup process. The device noticed another new firmware file a few days after initial setup and notified me via the front panel to apply the update. This is much more convenient than using client side update tools or manually checking vendor support sites for updates. Print quality and speed were sufficient for my needs. I have not used this enough to comment on the ink usage or ongoing ownership costs. Unboxing and setup of this printer was a breeze. It was a bit bigger than I expected but not too big that it is a problem. The setup of this printer was easy as well. It didn't take long for me to have it unboxed and connected to wifi. I was really pleased with the time it took for me to get it up and running. One of my favorite features of this printer is the ability to print directly from my iPhone. After downloading Epson Connect, I was able to print from my iPhone right away. The speed and quality of this printer far outshines my previous HP printer by leaps and bounds. I was really surprised with how quickly I could print color and/or black and white. This printer was very easy to set up. The instructions provided are quite sufficient so that a low tech person, such as myself, can set this printer up with little to no frustration. I even managed to be able to print from my phone because of the provided instructions for that as well. The print quality of the Work Force Pro WF-4730 is very good. I haven’t had the opportunity to print any pictures from it yet, but based on what I have seen so far, they should be good quality as well. The printer was so easy to use after setting it up. Bottom Line: I love this printer and highly recommend it! Setting the Stage: This is my first laser printer. I've bought only Inkjet printers previously as they are generally less expensive for comparable lasers. I use laser printers at my Office but they are professional high end models. I got the WF 4730 five days ago so this review is based on my limited time working with it. However, I have printed over 50 documents during the last few days so I can attest to its performance.   1.  Setup was extremely easy and took less than 10 minutes. I followed the basic instructions provided in the Instructions and didn't encounter any issues. In fact the setup was very intuitive and if you have set up printers at home in the past, you really don't need the instructions. Just follow the prompts on the printer screen.   2. Using the CD provided, loading the Software on my laptop was without incident and the installed software was then automatically updated.   3. Setting up the WIFI was quick and effortless. especially if you have the WPS button on your Router. Follow the prompts on the printer screen and when indicated, press the WPS on your Router.   4. Connecting our laptops and smartphones was also simple. Again, all you need to do is follow the printer screen prompts, use the PIN number provided and enter on your devices.   5. In less than 10 minutes I was printing Test Pages!   6. The WF 4730 prints one-sided and two-sided pages. Unlike similarly priced printers, you don't have to manually add a page at a time to go from one sided to two sided. Just load all your pages and let the printer do it's thing.   7. Printing is very fast for a unit of this price. In fact, I have a high end HP Inkjet at home and this model prints a bit faster. I have printed over 100 pages in four days and haven't had one issue crop up.   8. Quality of pictures and print is good as any printer I have used except for the business models. But I'm not going to pay over $1000 for a home printer! Besides the quality difference that significant.   9. The scan feature is very good. You can insert multiple pages for the printer to scan and not have to worry about doing it one page at a time. I tested saving scans to our laptops and smartphones and also to MS OneDrive. Worked every time. I then opened the files from each device and sent it to them to the printer. Everything printed properly.   10. I can't comment on how well the FAX works as I haven't tested this feature yet. Based on everything else I have seen, I wouldn't expect any issues. Once I test the FAX capability, I will provide an update if I run into a problem.   11. Since I have had the printer only 5 days and printed approximately 100 pages so far in B&W and color (combined), I can't tell yet how many pages I'll actually get from the ink cartridges Overall Impression: The Epson WF 4730 All-in-One Laser printer is a great value for the low price. Setup is , quick and intuitive, prints crisp, clear photos and print in B&W and Color, nice scanning capability and easily connects to your smart devices. I have found that this printer was very easy to use. As soon as I got it I took it out of the box. It was already put together unboxing it was rather easy. Once unboxed, I plugged it in and put the cartridges in. I also put in some paper into the first tray. I tried a test piece and the first piece of paper did get stuck. However, after that it started to print like a breeze! I can not believe how fast a color printer can print. My Epson came in a pretty decent size box. Upon opening it, the printer was wrapped in plastic. Normally, printers are hard to take out of their boxes because of how slick the plastic is and the worry of dropping it before you can even set it up, but this particular printer came in some really nice plastic packaging. The printer was actually in a clear, thick plastic bag with sturdy handles that made it an effortless when taking it out of the box. The instruction manual is pretty straightforward and easy-to-follow. The only con I have about setup is the fact that the printer does not come with a USB cord to link the printer with a computer. It does come with instructions on how to set the printer with a wired or wireless internet connection, but for a person like myself who has an Internet data cap, a USB cord is highly needed. Luckily enough, I had still had a USB cord from a previous printer I cannot use anymore. The printer is easy-to-use especially since a lot of the features are pre-set for printing 8 x 11 documents. It made it really easy to start printing right away and testing out the inks. The color pictures came out really nicely especially when printing out coupons. Purchased this printer for my parents. Set up was quick and easy, did the setup completely wirelessly. Once the printer is hooked up to the wi-fi, it was easy to add the printer to other devices also connected to the wifi. Was even able to easily print from my phone! This printer prints double-sided as well, and prints pretty fast for a home printer. They enjoyed how easy it was to print from anywhere in their home. Was able to get this printer for $99 during a sale, I plan on getting one for myself during the next sale.

This product works very well. It takes up a bit of space, so I had to rearrange a few things in my work area, but the effort was well worth the trouble. The installation was a bit confusing, but I finally got the printer to work, and will eventually have it communicate with all the other machines in my home in addition to my own (I will be the primary user). There is a little lag time between clicking on print and actually getting the copy out of the printer; however, the actual speed of printing itself is incredibly fast. In comparing prices for ink for this product, I have to say it can be a bit pricey, so some searching between ink sellers will be one of the first things I do before the included supply runs out. I've had this printer for a bit over a week now, and so far I am very impressed. Setup As far as setup, it's very straight forward. Once everything was plugged in and the printer was connected to the network it had a firmware update to install. I was having some weird issues with AirPrinting, but this went away after installing the latest firmware. Which is as simple as checking for updates in the settings. Printing I tried various ways of printing, one sided, two sided, color, black and white, and all various paper sizes. Everything worked very well, and prints very quickly. Scanning The scanning works well for what it is. It would be nice if two sided scanning was an option, but that's a minor inconvenience. Hardware The printer is a bit on the large side, but this was expected, and as long as you know this going in, it shouldn't be an issue. The lcd touch screen is very responsive and overall works well. The overall hardware of the printer seems well made, and I have no concerns over its durability. Mobile Printing This is an absolute must have on today's printers, and this printer is loaded with options from emailing the printer (which will print out a document), to the Epson app, also my personal favorite airprinting. If you're using an iOS device, AirPrinting is a great feature, which allows you to seamlessly print things without the need for a 3rd party app. In my testing Airprinting worked great. Upon receiving from new printer via FedEx, I opened the box and was very impressed with how the printer was packaged and free from any damage from shipping. I unboxed the printer and removed the instructions from the packaging. Setting the printer up following the instructions was a breeze and I had the printer connected to my home network, add downloaded to my Android phone and ready to print. I did a few test prints from my laptop and from my Android phone and was very impressed with the quickness of printing from both devices. Over the last few weeks of owning this printer, I've put it to much use. I've had zero issues printing wirelessly. This printer is quick with black and white prints and produces a great color print and photos. Full disclosure, I received this printer as a beta test. The printer is packaged quite well, and with it being delivered to my door, there was absolutely zero issue with it. It does not come with a usb A-B cable to physically connect to your computer, but my intention was to use wifi for my desktops and laptop anyway. The startup process is quick, remove all tape, plug it in, insert ink cartridges (four of them) and let it do its thing. All told, maybe 10 actual minutes of setup time. I went to Epsons website and downloaded the basic drivers for the printer instead of installing the full package from the disc that was sent with the printer, it is just my way. With the basic package, you can set the printer up easily on the computer with the wifi connection, the software detects the ip perfectly. It prints rather quickly from all devices when it is awake or when it has been sleeping. Overall I would buy this printer for $200 and be quite happy with it.

The printer was packaged very well and easy to unbox. The setup directions were very clear and straight forward. The actual installation of the printer on my network/computer was simple. The printer has features that I was looking for an All-in-One type printer. The mobile app install and set up was seamless and worked flawlessly. The actual printing speed for a full page color document is very good, the quality could be a little better but I am not sure if it was my paper or the printer. The full page color pages (Photo) has some lines on it. Black and white document print beautifully. The scan to email service works well as long as you can get it set up properly. Faxing work like it should, along as the copying. I haven’t tested the scan to USB drive function yet. I am interested to see how long the ink lasts. This printer is great. It's bigger than normal inkjet printers but that's because this one has two paper cartridges, which I use for regular letter and then photo paper. Setup of the unit was by far the simplest of any printers I've used. A USB cable is not included but that isn't a problem since you can setup your wireless, wired, or wireless via your phone connection right on the device. The screen itself is small but very responsive when typing in passwords, for example. I love that the device supports Google Cloud Print out of the box too. This makes printing things from work a breeze! The printer also supports NFC which is a nice add-on. At $200, this unit is a great deal. The scanning and printing quality is perfect, it's easy to use, and very intuitive. I've owned a number of inkjet printers, and I'm surprised by how quickly this Epson prints. The setup was straight-forward (I downloaded the drivers from Epson's website, rather than using the included CD). I've connected the printer using both ethernet cable and wi-fi. I have not connected it to the phone line for faxing (do people really still fax??). The ink cartridges seem very large, with a good capacity -- I hate replacing cartridges every few months. Printing quality -- especially photos on glossy photo paper -- is excellent, and small text prints clearly, even on regular plain paper. Is this printer worth the $200 price of admission? You bet it is... and after using it for a few days, I'm really glad that I have it. Unboxing was a breeze, with little handles to make removing it from the box easy for anyone. Set up was very easy to follow and bold easy to understand instructions. I've owned many all in one printers and the Epson surpassed my expectations by far. Copying is as simple and quick as a professional machine. It's quick dry so no smudges. Cool extra features makes this a complete joy to use. And the photo quality printing is along the same standards as a photo printer can get. This printer is amazing, loaded with features. Epson thought of everything. Packaging is nicely done and instructions are easy to follow. Very easy to use. One thing I love about this printer is the quality of the prints. Not only is quality amazing it uses less ink than most printers. The fact it uses less ink is a huge money saver as well as time saver so your not out buying ink all the time. This all in one printer is awesome!! The color that prints is very vibrant. The color pages print so fast that I almost forget it is a small printer. I use this for my home office and it prints out pages very fast! I have had friends come over and ask about it. It is definitely a great printer and I will keep using it!! Based on reviews and capabilities, I bought this as a replacement to an older Brother Printer with some issues. WOW, I have no idea what all the great reviews are about??!! I have had the following issues: 1) Document feeder constantly jams or doesn't uptake 2) The printer speed is the slowest I've ever seen - constantly pauses during printing even a 3 page document 3) Takes forever to respond to a wireless print request (1 minute?) 4) Uses up ink INCREDIBLY fast and the replacement cartridges are $70!! Overall, I can't say very many good things about this machine except it looks nice. PLEASE - spare yourself the aggravation!!

If you don't mind constantly clearing jams, even though you have fanned the paper, then this is the printer for you. It prints great. When it jams it doesn't pick up where it left off before the jam so you will have to go back and reprint the pages it left out. I bought it from another store 16 days before the price drop so I couldn't get that money back. I needed it right away for work or I would have held out for one of the others that I really liked. I wanted pigment ink. It also isn't really quiet on quiet mode. It makes a lot of clacking noises.

The initial setup from the minute I opened the box was quite straightforward. The packaging is easy to unfasten despite being very snug and seemingly very protective of the printer. The instruction pamphlet was easy to follow however I think most people can probably get going without it because as soon as it's plugged in there's directions on the screen. Even putting in the ink (that comes with it) is pretty easy. Connecting to wifi was simple and one of the first things I did was print with my iphone and I didn't encounter any issues with that, smooth sailing. Printing quality was as good as any other printer I've owned and the speed is quite nice. One problem I did encounter is that when I just wanted to print one sheet it would still "grab" the 10 or so sheets of paper underneath and send them all through the printer which was kind of annoying. It's since stopped that so I'm not sure if maybe it's just an initial issue or not. Otherwise, everything has been great. The scanned image quality is solid in both formats that I've used (jpg, pdf) and there haven't been any major technical hiccups. The extensive menu is great for learning about all of its capabilities.
