It had HORRENDOUSLY unreliable firmware, and never worked reliably. This unit never has to be rebooted for getting into a "weird" state, which is a welcome surprise. The print speed is fast, and the print quality is good. It does full duplex printing which is a nice touch. Scanning doesn't appear to be both sides, which is disappointing, but understandable at this price point. The paper output tray has a low capacity, so if you have to print a document with a large number of pages, be prepared to stand by so that the printed pages don't get pushed out by the next page printed.

Setup was a breeze and took less than 15 minutes. I was even able to set it up to their phones so they could print that way if need be. So far they are happy with it.

Good Low Cost "Printer"

That's the reason for knocking off one star. Most Manufactures make their money on the ink. Other than that, it's a very good printer.

Bulky but reliable

Although it was more bulky than I wanted, it was on sale and included every function I needed and more. I am pleasantly surprised at the volume of print produced. The speed of two sided printing is amazing. The print quality is crisp. Very happy with purchase.

This one has 2 paper trays that I use for envelopes in one and plain paper in the other. Makes it easy to switch from one to the next through the print software. I wish the screen was a little bigger like the WF4740 but I didn't want to spend the extra money. Printer is tall and doesn't take up a lot os space on desk.

It was cheaper to buy this printer than it would have cost to replace the heads and the ink cartridges for the HP printer. I chose the Epson as I have two large format flatbed Epson scanners and two higher-end Epson photo printers. I love the professional caliber results that Epson products deliver.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always by Epson printers because they seem to connect to Mac computers better than other brands. this printer is very fast and makes nice copies. it was very easy to set up. it is a large (tall) printer and takes up a bit of space. ' my only criticism is that I have tried to print several times, and my computer cannot "find" the printer. I turn the printer on and off several times, and then it can find it. I never had this problem before with an Epson printer (and I had it frequently with HP and other brands), so I this is disappointing. i am still trying to trouble shoot why this happens.
