I purchased the Epson WF-4740 printer as a replacement for my 9 year old HP all-in-one. It was easy to set up and connect all the bells and whistles. It is more compact than my previous one and definitely quieter.

Epson is the brand you want if you want a decent printer. This printer prints very fast and does a good job. It does do very good small photos but not the best printer for large prints. It handles a large amount of paper and what I like about it is I use tray one for small photos on the best glossy paper and still have my letter size paper in tray two so I don't have to mess with always changing things to print photos.

Unpacking was easy. Helpfull handles on the bag allowed easy removal from the box. After removing all of the blue tape I plugged in my ethernet and power cable. After powering on the printer the screen guides you on how to install the ink cartridges. While the printer was charging the cartridges I downloaded the newest software package from epsons web site https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/WorkForce-Series/Epson-WorkForce-Pro-WF-4740/s/SPT_C11CF75201 . I opted to manually set up a static IP on my network but the software had the option to automatically set it up for me and printed my first test page. After everything was good an automatic firmware update was installed. So far so good except that there are no photo paper samples included. I have been using this printer for my small drafting business and have been printing a large amount of text and black and white line drawings. This printer is faster and more crisp than my old laser. Regarding color I printed a few snaps from my phone using the Epson iPrint android app. Again I am extremely happy with the output. All you have to do is select the photos you want to print pick your options and hit print. The scanner is a scanner and does a great job at what it is supposed to do. I have included two color and B/W images printed and scanned with this printer. All In all I have had no problems with this printer and I am very happy with its output quality and speed. Quick to set up and is fast to print, easy to use. My improvement over my last printer. Also being wireless, it is most useful. Would recommend this to anyone

I found this printer to be easy to set up and use right out of the box. The print quality is good and the print speed is fantastic. I haven't tried printing a photo yet, but I'm sure it will be fine for that as well. I especially like having two drawers for paper input. The unit is also a good overall size -- the footprint is not too big.

We've owned a really good Epson printer before this one, as well as a really bad one. At this point, I really like this Workforce Pro. It's quick, quiet, and makes nice copies. I'm just waiting to see, over time, if it keeps up the good work, and how long the toner cartridges last. So far, so good.

Unpacked it and set it up pretty quick, however it took quite a long time to get the internet connection scanner set up. Wireless printing from even an iPhone was easy to set up. Copying was instant. Pretty big unit but ok by me. Still new so can’t say much more at this point.

This is the second Epson printer I've owned, the first one was meh... but I purchased this print while searching for a Laser printer. I must say this is the best printer I've ever purchased, the display is super nice, it prints extremely fast both color and black prints, setup to my computer and other devices was a breeze. It was worth every penny in my opinion

Compared to my old Epson the WF-4740 printer is huge improvement. It is fast, fairly quiet, versatile and has good quality for my needs. I was able to trade in my old printer and receive the sale price, so the price and value were excellent. So far I cannot comment about the ink price or availability.

This is my second printer because the first one set up and worked so well. I have become a fan of Epson printers so this one replaced one that was much older. Now that I have two of the same model I only need to keep ink in stock for this one model. Very good product at a very reasonable price.

This Epson all-in-one combines speed with lots of choice. Right now I'm copying a two sided document, but there's a setting to print each side of the original on a separate page. That's saves a lot of fooling around, taking originals out and turning them over. Very compact but lots of features.

Relatively happy with this Epson after a few weeks with it. Very easy for the initial set up, and the printing/scanning functions work without a hiccup.

Haven’t had it very long, but so far so good. It prints good and prints the sheets faster than my old one. I’ve always bought HP printers but have ended up with issues so decided to go outside my norm. I’m very happy so far! And easy step by step set up!!

I was looking for a printer to replace my current one. Up until this point, I've only bought cheap, sub $100 printers, and just like the old saying goes, you get what you play for. This printer is fantastic. It prints high quality documents and pictures, has dual trays (which can hold nearly an entire ream of paper) and seamlessly hooked up to my wireless network which allows me to print from anywhere in my home, whether it be from tablet, phone or laptop. It's also a nice feature to have this completely wireless and out of the way.

It does all the features you need to run a small business! My favorite features are, it prints double sided and has two paper trays so you don’t have to change paper to print a legal size document. It’s easy to set up as well as to use.

This is a great printer from the second you open the box up. It took about 10 minutes total from when I opened up the box to setting up wifi, to printing out an email from my phone. It even has plastic handles to make it easy to pull out of the box. One of the great features of this product is the touch screen which has the same technology as my iPhone. I'm able to slide and advance to next screens with ease. Another positive is the noise of this printer. Very, Very, quiet especially with it's lightning speed printing of documents. I recommend this product to anyone who has a small business or even in any busy home. I think it's a great printer and scanner. Very fast, at first I was worried that it wasn't scanning....but it was, and I'm very happy with that function. It was a little difficult to set up the scanner connection to the notebook but somehow connected with "Scan 2" whatever...it worked but couldn't duplicate what I did. The big disappointment with the printer is not having a setting to adjust the ink flow. The paper gets damp from too much ink.

I've had my WF-4740 for a few weeks and really like the speed and quality of the prints. The software and controls seem intuitive and easy to use. The only thing I've had a problem with is the ADF scanner, which is why I bought this model. I need one that will scan both sides of the page, which this one does, but I've had an issue with it jamming a few times. The problem really lies in that the error message won't clear. I get a moving circle ("Clearing" message) that never goes away and the only resolution is to power cycle the printer and start over. Maybe there will be a software fix down the road??? That part is disappointing, but all-in-all I'm very happy with everything else on this model. I'm running Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 Build 16299.192.

Had a different brand printer and always seemed to have problems and finally we had it bought the epson printer and we were really impressed the speed is fantastic and the set up is a no brainier
