Don't get this printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to buy a new printer because I was looking to find a smaller sized, efficient printer. But this printer prints slower than the previous one I had and constantly has issues when I print. Whenever I print there is an issue with 'no paper in the tray table" which there is still paper there. I have to readjust the paper constant or just "load" the paper by pressing it on the screen and then it is able to continue printing. Ink runs out very fast. Definitely looking for another printer in

Good Printer, Copier, Scanner and Fax
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros ------ • 150 Page document feeder • 30 Page auto feeder • Print, Scan, Fax, Copy and its wireless. • Its compact, fits nicely in my office. Hardly noticeable. • Print from Ipad, iPhone, android devices and computer wirelessly • It supports NFC. • Black cartridge yields 210 pages. Cons • The printer is designed for use with Epson cartridges only, not third-party cartridges or ink. What's In The Box: ---------------------- • WorkForce WF-2960 all-in-one printer • Power cord • 4 Claria Ink cartridges: • 1 Black ink cartridge • 3 color ink cartridges: 1 Cyan, 1 Magenta, 1 Yellow • Wish it came with the printer cable. Review --------- Design, Build and Setup I was surprised as to how small the device is. Fits great in my small office. The setup is easy. Need to take off all the protective tapes on the printer as well the printer cartridges , insert the cartridges and you are good to start the setup. I suggest downloading the Epson Smart panel app instead of using the LCD panel for setup. The printer supports 2.4ghz so you need to make sure the phone and the printer are on the same network. Once connected to wifi, the printer will automatically download a software update. Usage Once setup is done, I printed a few b/w pages and color pages wirelessly from both my laptop and phone and the print quality was good , its also quick and less noisy as compared to my canon laser printer. Note that the computer will be able to recognize the printer through windows add printer, no need to download any separate software. But If you need to scan documents you will need to download the scanner utility from the Epson website.

Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I got a lemon, but this is one of the worst printers I’ve ever tried to use. Despite hours and hours of trying, it would never print from my Macbook. The ink cartridges dried up in the first month, despite barely being used, and it would not recognize the genuine Epson cartridges after that. And it died before I could use it for a full year. It just quit turning on.

Best All-in-One Inkjet in the price range
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this Epson printer (WF-2960), to be a very competent and reliable platform to replace a 5-year-old HP printer. This printer has a larger paper tray amount than the old HP, holding up to 150 pages. Having more paper in place lessens the number of times I need to add more in the middle of a print job. The adjustable tray makes it easy to use different sizes of paper, and weights too. There’s also an auto-document feeder up on top that will hold up to 30 pages for scanning. I use the printer for several different purposes, here’s how the 2960 performed: 1. Connected hard-wired USB 2.0 to a PC: excellent, transfer speeds were to spec. 2. Connected and shared on the home network via a CAT5 Ethernet cable: excellent! 3. Connected via WiFi to tablets and mobile devices: Excellent! Epson Connect software integration is very good and easy to use. 4. Printing pages of straight black text: Excellent! Very fast, fonts are crisp and clear. 5. Printing tri-fold brochures, and other presentations combining text and graphics, both B&W, and Color. Excellent! Software integration worked great, no problems encountered, and the output is better, much better than my old HP. 6. Printing photos on special photographic paper: very good quality, better than the old HP, colors are vivid and crisp, no noticeable bleeding. A little on the slow side at high resolution, but this isn’t meant to be a professional photo printer. With that in mind the Epson Photo+ software integration does a great job! 7. Copying: I don’t do a lot of copying, but I do use this feature. I’ve copied both B&W and Color documents at a variety of resolutions (some for email, and some for reprinting). I found the ScanSmart software interface to be very intuitive and performed well. Epson provides several utilities for free on their website to enhance the capabilities of the 2960. There’s a FAX utility (which I didn’t use but it’s there), which works with both B&W and Color materials. The OCR logic – which I did use and worked well. As with any OCR software sometimes tables and graphics will confuse it, but it’s better than most in this price range. I scanned in documents, saved as PDFs, and I was able to perform text searches. 8. Two-sided printing: I will sometimes print in this mode to save on paper, or to suit a particular purpose. The Epson software once again does a good job getting this done. The unit itself is nice and compact and sits nicely in the footprint where the HP once sat. It has a quality feel to the unit, even though it is pretty much all plastic. All printers in this price point feel a bit flimsy to me, and the 2960 fits in that category. Not a problem, it’s expected. High-end printers that feel rugged are 5x the cost of this unit (or more). Another interesting feature that I probably won’t use much of is Voice-Activated printing through integration with either Apple’s Siri, Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. I tried it, it worked… For me it isn’t that useful, but neat. Three things always drive me crazy about printers, (1) how quickly the ink wells run dry and the cost to replace, (2) setting up the printer to work with your network of devices, (3) ongoing support with driver updates. I’ll touch on each of these for the 2960: 1. On the positive side the 2960 uses individual color tanks, so you replace just the tank that is empty. Yields vary of course depending on the type of material you are printing. Epson posts averages of 500 pgs. for the black cartridge, and around 200 pgs. for each color cartridge. That is actually quite good. The downside is the tanks are expensive and you can only use Epson cartridges. Don’t try to buy refurbished cartridges, or refill your own. You won’t be happy. Find a good source for cartridges, and bit the bullet. They’re just expensive, from every manufacturer. It's just the way inkjet printers are marketed. The hardware is relatively cheap, but you pay for ongoing ink. Kind of like what cell phone companies do to us. 2. The biggest headache with printers is their software... The experience I’ve had is that a printer is rendered useless after a few years because the printer software has not kept up with new operating system changes. One of the top broadcasters in the tech world jokes that he won’t take any printer questions. It’s because the software is usually abysmal. But I was pleasantly surprised with the Epson software, it installed without a problem on Windows 11. The surprise is that they support operating systems going way back, literally decades. That tells me they will continue to support this platform for a long time into the future. BTW, my very first printer was an Epson MX-80 (circa 1980). Their well-made, and Epson is a company that will be around gor a very long time. 3. Buying an Epson is a good investment because they continue to provide updates to their drivers. I trust them to continue to support their printers long after they’ve gone end of life. Conclusion: I recommend this printer above its competitors in the price segment. It’s a solid printer, with easy instructions to follow, and is a workhorse for me. Two thumbs up!

Beautiful fast prints when speed matters
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Epson always delivers. I love the compact size of this business all-in-one. I don't really fax anything anymore because of email but I know a few people and businesses do so I understand why it's there. This printer prints super-quick. In fact, it's one of the fastest I've tried this year. The colored prints really pop especially when you use premium luster paper. The app is a great compliment but the user interface, like many other printer apps, is clunky and difficult to use unfortunately. I really do not appreciate being forced to sign up for yet another account. It would be nice to just be able to use the printer as I would like. Setup on a PC is very easy and Windows finds the drivers automatically as it should in 2022. You should spend no more than 10 minutes setting up a new printer and thankfully this unit offers a very fast setup. I don't use anything other than the in-built Windows scanner software for the scanner function on any of my printers as I feel that the software supplied with the printers can tend to be a bit large and offer more services than I use. Just for the sake of being thorough, I did install the drivers and utility and it installs effortlessly without a hitch. I highly recommend this AIO printer

Good small business printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer was super easy to setup and configure for using in a network/office configuration and allows multiple users to scan and print. For scanning, the flatbed scanner works great and makes copying and scanning documents. The ADF works great and makes it easy to scan batches of documents to a PC or to a network drive or email. Be sure to note that this printer clearly states on the box that it is designed for Epson Ink and basically will not work with other inks. For that, I knocked off one star as I can see issues potentially with getting replacements outside of Best Buy or major office supply store that sells Epson printers. In terms of print quality and speed this printer is decent in terms of speed and has a great overall print quality which is to be expected with Epson. I just wish that Epson would approach the ink thing differently perhaps in terms of a subscription service to make the experience of printing with an Epson printer better. This printer would be a good addition to a small office with it's small footprint and business features (like scanning and duplex printing). I'd recommend it but with caution about the ink as it's clearly stated it will only work with Epson cartridges which is a good and bad thing. Good in terms of guaranteed quality and reliability but bad if you can't get them easily.

Great All-in-One Printer w/ a Wonky Setup Process
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson WF-2960 is a great all-in one printer. It can scan, fax, copy, and of course print. The footprint of the printer is pretty small making it easy to setup on a desk in a home office. The print quality is wonderful, especially for a small-sized printer. It prints quickly and from a variety of sources (direct connection, AirPrint, wireless printing on the network). Setup is a little wonky as you download an app and use it to configure the printer. I encountered a few very minor issues during setup using the app, but was able to get everything up and running still within a few minutes. The one downside to using this printer is the fact that it will only use Epson ink cartridges. This may not be an issue for most, but of course you will pay a premium for replacement OEM cartridges and will have to rely on finding the cartridges at a retailer that sells/supports Epson printers. Overall, the WF-2960 is a solid all-in-one that would work great in a home or small office environment. It prints well, is somewhat easy to setup, and doesn't take up much space.

Fast printer with some nice features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is great for a smaller office or home setting where speed and print quality are important. The WorkForce setup comes with a very good mobile application that can control the whole unit. The days of requiring a computer to print, scan or copy are behind us, as this can all be done from from your mobile phone now. The setup was easy and can be done either manually, which I chose, or by using the phone application. Network setup was straight forward, as were all other configurations. The printer itself produces high quality printouts and they are fast, even with two-sided printing. The sound is fairly quiet and it works well with mobile device printing. The scanner works well with regular copy paper, but it struggled with thicker copy paper. I encountered paper jams with anything thicker than normal 20 pound paper. The scan quality has three options with low, standard and high resolutions. The standard is set at 300 DPI, which is sufficient for most document scans. The highest quality scans at 600 DPI, which would be used for photographs or when higher quality is necessary. The unit is compact and doesn’t take a lot of room. There is one paper tray with a capacity of 150 sheets.
