I was looking for a relatively inexpensive wireless printer for basic home use, as well as one that wouldn't cost me an arm & a leg for replacement ink cartridges. This one meets all of those requirements.

awesome printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have always used HP printers but they only lasted a few yrs and i have used an old epson at work which lasted over 10 yrs and was still working great so i read the reviews and went with the epson for home. i was a little skeptical on the reviews that i read that said the ink cartridges last a long time but i found out that they do, i have had it for about 6 wks now and have yet to change a cartridge, and i printed lots of papers and some 8x10 pictures which also turned out very nice. Personally i am very pleased with the purchase.

Clunky Software

Connecting to home network was seamless, connecting to other wireless devices like iPhone literally impossible. Also produces spam messages to purchase other Epson products.

Beats the two HP's that mysteriously had a Black ink dry up when I changed the ink cartridge. Well at least for now

decent printer for a home office

I also dont like the fact that you have to have ink in all of the cartridges in order to print. I tried to print black and white but because one of the colors was out I couldn't print when I'd just replaced the black cartridge that same day. Even changing the settings to black and white only didn't allow me to bypass the cartridge replacement error. Epson gave no assistance but offered a "sorry for the inconvenience"

For the first time in my life I, (a tech dummy), can send and receive faxes from home, the scanning option was simple to set up for someone who had never scanned, the print if fabulous, and I saved money buying this model!
