Overall everything I’ve been looking for in a printer

This is my first experience in Workforce Printer. Surprised at first sight. It was bigger than I expected. The package is very good and weight is almost 48lb. Box comes with 4 ink cartridge, power cable, quick start guide and Software cd (no Ethernet cable, If we need to setup via Ethernet you have to take your own).Printer setup is very easy and guide is also good. Just follow the steps in the guide for the installation. I have completed the unpacking and installation in between 20- 30 min. Unpack and remove all stickers. Then connect power and turn on the printer. Enter language, country and time. Then lift scanner unit and open ink cartridge cover and insert cartridge after removed yellow tape from the cartridge (Shake cartridge before install, especially if you are in freezing areas lol ;)). Make sure all cartridges are pushed down until it clicks. Close the cover and scanner unit. Ink charging will take almost 8 min. We will get the ink charge completion message on the screen. Then load paper, (printable side should be down). We can adjust paper tray based on the size of the paper. One awesome feature of this printer is 2 paper loading option. One is a normal paper tray, it holds 250 papers and output tray hold up to 125 sheet and the second one is a rear feeder, it is an awesome feature. Another amazing feature is wide format printing up to 13x19 and auto double-sided printing up to 11x17, I really need this. We can take more prints than a normal printer for sure. Ink cartridge is much bigger than other printer cartridges moreover instead of 1 cartridge for color, Epson using 3 different cartridges. I love their concept. Register and driver setup in the system was easy. I did not use CD, downloaded setup software from Epson site. Installed Epson connects app on mobile and desktop. The dashboard of the app is very simple and user-friendly. After that I connected with the Wi-Fi and systems, only need to be done once. Everything is working great. Managing print/scan using the app (desktop/Mobile) is very easy. The printer has a good and big color touch screen. I am happy with printer & printing quality but not with printer size and weight ;). All other features like printing, copy, scan, fax, USB are working fine. We can scan up to 11x17 paper size. We can use automatic document scanning option with two sides scanning and printing, it is a huge plus. We can change the resolution. It will save ink. If we add memory card slot, then it will be very helpful. Normal Print quality and photo printing are outstanding. No fade, spots, ink dry very fastly, no leakage, no smears or streaks. The speed of the print is awesome/fast. I would highly recommend this product to everyone for private/business use, this is a great product. Setup not for the faint of heart. Not very user friendly. Errors can be a little confusing. However it does it's job once it's up and running.

Prints ok. Total lack of even the most basic operating manual/instructions. Had to contact customer support for everything. Big pain in the butt!

I just have been so wildly unhappy with this purchase. It doesn't print teal, you have to load pages from the back one at a time, AND the ink dries up before you can use it. I used it for a couple of weeks around Christmas and then didn't use it again until the end of January, and all of the ink cartridges were blocked up and dried out. It was a nightmare. Plus, this thing is just a beastly size. DON'T WASTER YOUR MONEY

Barely used my printer. Had a hardware failure that could not be fixed. It was going to cost out of pocket. Buying a new printer and it's not an Epson.

Printer works great. ***** Unfortunately it does not come with an instruction manual? Getting it formatted wirelessly is an extreme issue for me.

Setting up printer scanner to email function via Apple IOS and safari email was not available at this time.

This printer is a huge disappointment. It doesn’t print. It doesn’t recognize ink cartridges. Or sometimes it recognizes them, but says they’re empty. We bought it for our son for college, and by the time we opened it the Best Buy 15 day return window had elapsed. So I called Epson to see if they could help. After their troubleshooting they deemed it a hardware failure and offered to send me a replacement. BUT they will only replace it with a refurbished unit. So my brand new printer won’t print, and the best the company will do is send me a used one they have fixed. Huge disappointment. You may buy it and have better luck. But heaven help you if you have to deal with the company.

Upon receiving this printer I was surprised how large it was, but very excited to get it out of the box and setup. It is rather heavy and may require two people to get it out of the box. I had no issues getting it out of the box, placing it in a suitable location, and connecting the two cords (phone cord for fax and power cord). Upon powering up the printer it quickly walks you through the steps for setup. The touch screen is very easy to see, functions well, and is easy to navigate through each menu. I setup WiFi printing very quickly with no problems. Printing from the iPads and iPhones is a cinch! Double sided prints and choosing what pages to print is very straight forward. The border less printing is nice but it tends to cut off some of your picture. The speed of the printer is impressive. I have printed pictures on a few different types of paper. The quality is ok. This is not a photo quality printer. Printing word documents is fast and good quality. You can even use a highlighter without smudging the words. I used a thumb drive to print but was only given the option to print jpeg or tiff files. I wanted to print a dox file. I searched around to see if that is an option but I haven’t found any options yet. The copy functionality is great! The enlarge/reduce capabilities are amazing. My favorite option is to have 4 full size pages printed on one side of one full page. I am a teacher and this is a great tool to make study guides for my students that they will actually use. The documents are very legible and you can choose several different arrangements. The only cons I have found is the weight/size may make it difficult to move for some, and the ink cartridges have low capacity. These may not be cons to others. This device has so many different capabilities, it will be a while before I use them all. I have already recommended this to two people that have home offices. Not bad, but takes forever to change ink. Always pulls blank sheets thru while printing. It's a nightmare printing labels!

I do not recommend this printer for Macs. Every time I turn on the printer and try to print my Mac shows that it can't find the printer. However, if I unplug the printer and plug it up, then turn the printer on my Mac can find the printer. Also it takes too long for the printer to startup. This isn't a good printer for home use at all.

Worked great, right up until it didn't. I really liked this printer until the ink cartridge assembly locked in place and wouldn't allow me access to change the cartridge. Unfortunately, the cost to fix was more than the cost to purchase a replacement, and this unit was no longer available.
