EPSON Workforce WF-7710 Review UNBOXING First observation – the box is enormous! Weighing over 45 pounds, one can surmise the printer is going to be very large as well – and it is. The printer is minimally, yet adequately packed, with every moving and/or opening part blue taped, and appropriate amounts of Styrofoam secured it during shipping. Box was damaged in several places, but once I opened the box I felt confident the printer was undamaged (CONFIRMED!). A handy booklet is included to identify all locations where packing tape should be removed prior to set up. Total time to unbox and ready for setup – about 5 minutes. SETUP Set up was fast and easy. Since I was testing the product, I set up every conceivable connection (Ethernet, WiFi, WiFi Direct, NFC, Wired LAN, etc.). No issues. The included DVD eased installation onto the computer. I also set up using a mobile phone with WiFi Hotspot, and a different mobile phone with WiFi Direct – both setups were painless and seamless. Total time to set up all the different connections – about 30 minutes. OPERATION Did I mention the printer is large? I have a fairly large printer from a major EPSON competitor, and the Workforce WF-7710 makes my other printer look tiny. Why a new printer? After my other printer failed for the 3rd time (3rd different reason), and a piece from the feeder broke off (through no fault of mine), I decided it was time to look elsewhere (after owning 5 different printers from that same manufacturer). Consumer Reports gave EPSON good reviews. We had already purchased an EPSON printer for my girlfriend’s mother about a year ago, and she experienced no issues. I printed with different sized papers, from 11 ½ x 14, 8 ½ x 11, even 11 x 17 with no issues. • Document Printer - The printer is fast (claims 18ppm b/w and 10ppm color – sounds about right), with accurate colors and deep black. Wireless printing was as easy as printing from the computer (installed EPSON software for free from the App store). My EPSON has one 250 page paper tray, which seems ample for all but the most hard core users. Printing from my laptop using both Ethernet and WiFi was also painless. • Photo Printer – As an amateur photographer, I was skeptical photo prints would be usable from a home printer. I was pleasantly surprised. From high quality glossy photo paper to high quality matte presentation paper (both added through the rear feeder – did not try adding photo paper to the main paper bin), the photos look great. While not the photo quality produced by the $100,000 printing machines you find in Sam’s, Costco, BJ’s, etc., the quality was high enough to confidently frame the photos. 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 all look great! Maximum print resolution is claimed by EPSON at 4800 x 2400 dpi and while I did not approach those levels, if printing 13x19 (i.e. a 12x18 crop), I would imagine the quality to be outstanding (trying to find affordable 13x19 high quality photo paper is another challenge). • Scanner – From documents to photos, much improved over my previous printer (which has a very good scanner). Accurate and fast, with vibrant color reproduction, including a document feeder (35 page limit, nice), this was another pleasant surprise. • Fax – I did not test the fax, because who faxes in 2018? It is much easier to scan and send via secure email or secured document uploading software. WHAT I LIKED • 4.3 inch touchscreen – big, bold, easy to read and navigate. This should be the minimum size touchscreen for all printers. • Print (Document / Photo) Quality – having owned many printers over the years, the print quality was outstanding! • Versatility – Every conceivable way to print has been added to this machine • 35 page document feeder – for someone who utilizes the scanner, this is a fair sheet capacity • Wide Format – 13x19? Usually reserved for business printers – in fact, this machine could be used as a business printer • Quality – despite the fact the every printer I have seen over the past 10 years has been mostly, if not all, plastic, this feels like a quality product (remember, it is over 45 pounds – crazy!) WHAT I DISLIKED (OR THOUGHT WAS JUST OK) • Single page rear feeder – why only 1 page? Even with photo paper, you could not have increased to 10 pages its capacity? • Noisy – will anyone ever make a quiet printer again? • Start up / Shut down times – while not a deal breaker, this machine takes about 1 minute to warm up – about the speed of an office printer/copier. WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ADDED • Remote (Smartphone / Tablet) full access to the control panel – having to walk to the printer to change controls offsets the flexibility of being able to print from un-tethered devices. • ECO-INK capability – this is an enormous printer, and while I have only been using it for less than 2 weeks, with heavy use it will consume large amounts of ink. And because most manufacturers attempt to lock down the replacement ink to prevent 3rd party replacement ink usage, having the ability to fill ink wells is paramount for such a high level machine. FINAL THOUGHTS / RATINGS • Out of a possible perfect score of 10 (versus similar types of printers / expectations): o PRINT SPEED 9 o PRINT QUALITY 9 o PHOTO PRINT 10 o NOISE 6 o VERSATILITY 8 o QUALITY 10 • If you are looking for a fair priced, high quality, wide format, affordable printer, and are not afraid of its massive size, I have not used a better printer than the EPSON Workforce WF-7710 Even though I received a free copy of the printer to test it, I would not trade this printer for any other I have seen, even if it was given gratis. This large format MFP is a winner!

The Epson WorkForce WF-7710 is a home or small office staple. This MFP is a heavily featured machine, including photo quality prints up to 13x19 in size, a 11x17 two sided auto feed scanner, and a platen scanner. This printer also includes the options to fax, copy, and duplex printing. It also features wired and wireless connections, Wi-Fi Direct, Ethernet and NFC pairing. While unboxing, I noticed the printer was well packed and had ample styrofoam that would likely protect it from any harsh shipping environment. Once the printer was out of the box, there were 20 pieces of blue tape that secured all the parts and pieces during the shipping process. This was probably the most amount of tape I had ever pulled off of a product. Therefore, be sure to check all areas; some pieces are not obvious. The paper tray was large and had a capacity of 250 sheets of copy paper. The feed tray has many options, such as; letter, legal, A4, 11x17, and 13x18. The tray can also hold paper in landscape up to A3 paper size. The menu screen was easy to read with a bright glass panel and capacitive touch. When first booting, it took about 6 minutes to initialize. Once the boot up was complete, the printer asked to insert the ink cartridges. The ink cartridges the printer came with were of standard capacity allowing 300 color pages and 350 black and white pages. It was also compatible with XL cartridges at 1,100 color and black & white prints. One of the things this printer is capable of, which is not an option for many other machines, is a super XL black cartridge that can yield about 2,200 black & white prints. While printing normal pages, along with photos, I noticed that the printer speed was fast, even with quality prints. The control panel is adjustable from a vertical position to a 40 degree angle, which is great since my printer is on a low shelf and this allows me easy access to the menu screen. After using this printer for about a week, I would have to say there is a lot to like about this multi-function printer and very few dislikes. One thing I think Epson should include is, during the setup, provide an option to connect to WiFi. If you would like to connect wirelessly, it must be done after the initial setup is complete then drill down into a couple of the machine settings to initiate the wifi setup. This machine is not capable of connecting to a 5ghz network but, that is not a big deal unless your home is crowded on the 2.4ghz network. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce WF-7710 Wide Format All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

HP let me down, seems Epson is next to disappoint?

I bought this on Halloween 2018. So, I have used this and printed almost everyday for over 6 months. I was SO sick of HP and the difficulty they built in for re-filled cartridges. Epson was OK with re-filled cartridges at first. BUT, now every time I use a refill, it either will not recognize it OR it takes many MANY nozzle checks and head cleanings to get the replacements "Charged" I had my hp 8000 for over 7 years. Our older epson 845 for the kids is still kicking just have to remind them to print in all colors at least once a week to avoid drying out. Mine never dries. I use all colors almost everyday for home biz. I just tossed 3 (e each color) Xl size. I had them at the ready bought of amazon 2 months ago. I ended up going over to fyrs and bought 3 brand New cartridges as a Last resort. I loaded all but black since that one was over half full. I lost count as I have to do nozzle check and head clean about 12-15 TIMES to get them charged and printing cleanly. I am attaching a pic of how much ink this sucked in the process. Almost a 1/3 loss from 3 NEW cartridges. Genuine Epson virgin inks!! Not what I was expecting. It prints quick and quiet. More than I can say about a Canon I returned. do I have to go back to HP? should I now try Brother. I hear issues with the ink "TANK" systems. I bought this beast as I read Best Buy reviews. Maybe ratings will change over time. Only reviews from those using for some time are of any interest to me. Most printers work well the first 1-2 months !!?? disillusioned at best Epson<<

The True Workforce of the Office

First let’s get to the main subject; if you’re looking for an All-In-One professional printer then this is the one for you! When I received the printer at the door I was amazed on the size of the box and for good reason, The packaging was done beyond what a normal printer comes in, This was packed to be 100 percent safe for traveling through the Fedex or UPS places as we all know, they love to see if they can break whatever is inside. I work for a manufacturing company so I know the challenge of shipping an item to arrive safe and sound. Now let’s talk about the weight of this printer, Yes it is on the heavy side, and for good reason. This is not one of those printers that you’re tossing out after a year. The weight is due to being very well made to last a life time. Part of my job at work is also buying the company’s printers for our instructions sheets and more. I have been to every major copy and printer company and have done major research on the good and bad to be on the watch out for. So when I say this is one well made machine I am not joking. You get a heavy machine only when you use quality parts and not cheap all plastic parts. We have seen so many printers get trashed due to being bumped off the desk or table and breaking, that’s not going to happen with this machine, made to stay in place. Next subject, Set-up. The set-up of this printer was so easy that I truly believe a 8 year old could do it. It was a true pleasure setting this one up. The short set-up guide was done very well and the color on screen directions made it super easy. With having the option of using a wired or Wi-Fi connection is great, a lot of the printers now only give you one way to go, but not this machine. You won’t be disappointed. Now the other main subject, Usage, since this is a all-in-one printer I decided to try every fiction. First was printing a highly detailed photo so I had our company art department come up with a major test print and let me just say “WoW”. This machine passed 100 percent, spot on for detail and color. Then I tried the scanning fiction of the same photo and again, passed 100 percent and did not grain out at all, could not even tell it was a copy. Then we tried other highly detailed pictures of different sizes because this is also a wide format printer and again I was amazed on the outcome. We even did two sided printing and not one problem and the outcome was great. We set-up 5 different items to connect to the printer from cell phones, both android and Iphone, desktop computers and laptop and 1 tablet and had zero problems connecting and use. No disconnects. Then being able to print from a thumb drive or flash drive is also great, go ahead and try to find other printers out there that have that. Being able to print from the cloud is also great because sometimes you just have to work away from were the printer is. Being able to scan items and then saving them to a computer or other item is super, did not have one problem. There is much more that is good about this machine but this review covered the basics of what the average person will use. The only con we can find on this machine is that it is a Ink Jet and as we know, it is like buying gold. We have not printed enough to see what the true yield is but it seems to be using less ink then the other printers around. I guess the good thing about this machine is that you can purchase the larger ink tanks. Plus each color is separate so you don’t have to buy a full tank because you used more blue or yellow, this helps a lot. Our hats off to Epson and the WF-7710 All-In-One Printer. I love when I get the chance to put machines through the paces and try to make them fail, only because I am a Quality Control Manager and that’s my job, Find what is wrong with an item before it gets to the customer. A very well made machine. When I do reviews of test items I feel it is the best interest to be truthful and point out the weak points of a item so that the next person won’t be shocked to find out it was sugar coated and this review was done to the best of my skills. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce WF-7710 Wide Format All-in One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Great printer for home office/power users

    Posted
    earlyadopter

Pros: 1. Greate cloud/network capabilities that address the needs of modern connected homes. Professional capabilities such asLinux support, Google cloud print support, Mobile apps. 2. Sturdy/quality construction that feels (and does) handle home office type of work loads. Ideal even for small businesses. 3. Simple to setup and use for beginners. Lots of options like web administation for power users/professional setups. 4. Color touchscreen makes administration lot easier than other printers with similar capabilities. 5. Great print quality. 6. Economical (uses common epson cartrige models that can be purchased refurbished). Cons: 1. Ink jet - this printer pushes the envelop, but still limited by the printing technology that is ink jet. This is not a fair criticism, but still ink jets dry out without regular use. Even though I did not test this capability, I had this experience with other ink jets I had. 2. Supplied tanks are low capacity (or standard capacity). 330pages capacity is pretty low. If someone prints about 10 pages a day, they need to replace the supplied ink within a month. They do have XL options that run 1000 pages. Wish it came with those. 3. Heavy - This printer is definitely on the heavy side. It is meant to be a "professional" grade (and it is) printer and it is not something you move often. So, it is not a huge con. I work from home and we are a household with kids doing various projects - in other words, we consume lot of office services this printer offers on a regular basis. We have gone through our share of network printers and have a fair experience dealing with them. Installation: Gone are the days, we had a printer connected to a PC in the living room. Now we buy only network capable printers that can be setup once and can be housed in a backroom. So, first thing I did after unpacking and installing the ink tanks etc., is to connect the printer to the network. It was a breeze with WPS capability. Once I had the printer connected to the network, I hopped on the admin console (http:// and did some adminstration. I did not care for "epson" provided services once I saw the google cloud print support. I registered for goolge cloud print and I know every device including mobile phones and tables can now access the printer. Printing: Printing is really straighforward. I printed a test page from few different devices and it seems to handle fine. I am not a connesiur of print quality or speed. But both seem reasonable to me. Network Printing/Cloud Printing: As I mentioned, we are already setup for google cloud print. Once I added the printer to google cloud print, everything worked smoothly. I am pretty sure, epson's own offering will work equally well or better, but I appreciate that I did not "have to" go thru epson specific setup. I love it when manufacturers support/adhere to standards. Linux: I noticed that epson does provide linux drivers. But once google cloud print is on, I did not have to go through installing drivers etc., Much appreciate not having to go through another time consuming set of tasks. Scanning: Scanning in this printer is the best I have used in terms of features. I love that it is automatic two-sided scanning. The scanning destination menu is perfect. It gives me several options, scan to shared folder which worked flawlessly with a "windows share" of a NAS hard drive, and scan to email are perfect. I like the fact that it remembers frequently used emails. This takes away the need to installs scan drivers, downloading software etc., Love this capability. Overall, I recommend this printer for situations like mine. Fairly regular users with lots of devices with different operating systems, that do not care for installing software on each device. I have not used the printer long enough to speak for its longevity, but the build quality makes me think this is going to last a while. With cheaper printer ink options available, I can see this printer serving us for a long time. Unpacking the printer is pretty straightforward. Although the cardboard was damp and there was condensation on the plastic, the printer was fine. The fact that it uses a proprietary power cable is somewhat annoying. The network and USB ports are tucked away on the left hand side of the unit rather than on the back which is awkward but not impossible in the space I am using. It does become problematic when a paper jam occurs in the rear feed unit as the cord can get in the way. Users should note that when configuring the printer, there is not a “save” option; however, “start setup” seems to be equal to “save”. During the ink jet alignment procedure, a page is printed to facilitate alignment. The user is directed to choose from each row the box with no lines and no spaces. However, the page did not have any boxes in any row that fit this criteria resulting in the user needing to take his or her best guess. These set up issues may have been detailed in the manual on CD, but I did not take the time to load and read it as most people will not bother to do this. The printer has a large footprint which makes sense considering its ability to print in a wide format. Be sure you have space to access the rear feed tray. I have mixed feelings about the rear feed for odd ball paper sizes: the versatility is great, but the location could be troublesome depending on the space constraints. The quality and speed of the printing is really excellent considering that it is an ink jet printer. Black and white prints and copies are super crisp. Color prints are shockingly good! This printer easily outperforms the color laser I have been using. It will be interesting to see how long the ink cartridges last. The cartridges shipped with the printer are small compared to other ink jet cartridges I have used. For those who are used to fewer paper size options, the printer needs some attention to make sure that the paper size is clearly defined both at the printer and in the computer software being used – and both have to be in agreement. And the thing I find most annoying about the printer is that it does not seem to have a default setting (ex: B&W copy, single sided) to which it returns after a designated amount of idle time. If your last print was 2-sided color and you forget to adjust the printer settings, you can easily end up copying 2-sided color on your next copy job, so be sure to check every time. I also have not figured out how to kill a print job during the print process. There is not an obvious “cancel” button. Having the ability to print in wide format and on legal and ledger size paper at home is great! These are options that might be more than the average home user would need, but for the price, it’s well worth it! Users who enjoy digital scrapbooking or similar hobbies will enjoy the ability to print on 10” x 10” inch stock and 12”x12” inch stock without leaving the house. And the high quality printing truly makes a trip to the print shop unnecessary. This printer is great for desk top publishing tasks, too. This printer has a lot of exciting options that I have not had the opportunity to test yet, and I find the fax option to be unnecessary in the digital age. Overall, I am truly impressed by this machine and look forward to exploring it further. Paper Jams & No Ink Cartridge Recycling

I was a faithful HP user until I got fed up with the inept customer support. I read about the wonderful features of the Epson WorkForce WF-7710 and with its reasonable price, I traded in my HP OfficeJet Pro 8720. That was March 2018. Just one month later, after repeated System Error messages that required turning the machine off and on, I contacted Epson. They sent me a replacement in a couple of days, and I was happy. Well, except that there's no way to conveniently recycle the used ink cartridges. At least not in Hawaii. I can deliver them to Office Max/Office Depot, but that isn't as convenient as using the postage-paid envelopes HP provides. The print quality isn't as good as the HP either. The HP's quality was very close to laser, but the Epson is quite obviously an inkjet. And, everything prints a shade lighter than they should be. I work from home for a property management company, and the Epson's print quality isn't up to par with the high-end luxury properties we manage. Our owners and tenants deserve more professional-looking documents. But, having just bought it, I didn't want to think about expending the time and energy to find another printer. It is now November 2018, and for the past several weeks, I've been battling paper jams more and more frequently. I use 20 lb, multipurpose, 92 bright, plain white paper that hadn't been a problem before. The jams occur mostly when feeding paper from the rear tray. But, when it jams from the paper cassette, it doesn't just jam 1 sheet of paper, it jams several. It's as if the machine thinks, "Well, that sheet didn't work, let's try this one. . maybe this one. . okay, this one. . let's try 2 or 3 at time." And, crinkles them badly so all they're good for is filling the recycle bin. So much wasted paper! I contacted Epson, but they just gave me instructions on how to clear jams and advised me to clean the rollers. I've become an expert on clearing jams, and cleaning the rollers had no effect. So, I'm upgrading to a Brother color laser all-in-one. I hope to write a rave review about it soon!

Awesome Printer With Good Features. Highly Recomme

This is my first experience in Workforce Printer. Surprised at first sight. It was bigger than I expected. The package is very good and weight is almost 48lb. Box comes with 4 ink cartridge, power cable, quick start guide and Software cd (no Ethernet cable, If we need to setup via Ethernet you have to take your own).Printer setup is very easy and guide is also good. Just follow the steps in the guide for the installation. I have completed the unpacking and installation in between 20- 30 min. Unpack and remove all stickers. Then connect power and turn on the printer. Enter language, country and time. Then lift scanner unit and open ink cartridge cover and insert cartridge after removed yellow tape from the cartridge (Shake cartridge before install, especially if you are in freezing areas lol ;)). Make sure all cartridges are pushed down until it clicks. Close the cover and scanner unit. Ink charging will take almost 8 min. We will get the ink charge completion message on the screen. Then load paper, (printable side should be down). We can adjust paper tray based on the size of the paper. One awesome feature of this printer is 2 paper loading option. One is a normal paper tray, it holds 250 papers and output tray hold up to 125 sheet and the second one is a rear feeder, it is an awesome feature. Another amazing feature is wide format printing up to 13x19 and auto double-sided printing up to 11x17, I really need this. We can take more prints than a normal printer for sure. Ink cartridge is much bigger than other printer cartridges moreover instead of 1 cartridge for color, Epson using 3 different cartridges. I love their concept. Register and driver setup in the system was easy. I did not use CD, downloaded setup software from Epson site. Installed Epson connects app on mobile and desktop. The dashboard of the app is very simple and user-friendly. After that I connected with the Wi-Fi and systems, only need to be done once. Everything is working great. Managing print/scan using the app (desktop/Mobile) is very easy. The printer has a good and big color touch screen. I am happy with printer & printing quality but not with printer size and weight ;). All other features like printing, copy, scan, fax, USB are working fine. We can scan up to 11x17 paper size. We can use automatic document scanning option with two sides scanning and printing, it is a huge plus. We can change the resolution. It will save ink. If we add memory card slot, then it will be very helpful. Normal Print quality and photo printing are outstanding. No fade, spots, ink dry very fastly, no leakage, no smears or streaks. The speed of the print is awesome/fast. I would highly recommend this product to everyone for private/business use, this is a great product. The Epson WorkForce WF-7710 printer lives up to it's promises. The set up was very easy. Once the plastic wrap and tape was removed all I had to do was insert the ink cartridges and let the printer charge the ink. I didn't time the charging cycle but it seems to me like it was no longer than about 7-8 minutes. love the big touchscreen, it's very simple to use and easy to read. I did the initial settings for time, date, etc and set up my paper and photo settings. I wanted to try printing a few different size pictures first because this printer will be used for brochures. I printed 1 of each 4x6, 5 x 7 and 8x10. They all printed beautifully. The clarity is great and the colors are very vibrant. The next thing I did was scan 2 pages from our color brochure. The scanner worked great. I set it to print double sided on plain paper and it came out great. My boss used it to print 50 full color brochures and she was very impressed with the quality. We did have to purchase ink in advance knowing the printer was coming and it would only have the initial cartridges. I've been using the printer on a daily basis to print invoices (average 40-50 a day) and UPS and FedEx shipping labels. The last page prints as good as the first. The shipping labels tended to come out faded on our old printer by the end of a daily batch which can be a big problem when they are scanned. I also use the printer once a week to print UPC labels. They come out great as well. The fax is a big help for us, no more separate machines. Every fax we've received has looked really good, no smearing and smudging like some fax machines. We printed our own business cards on cardstock and the convenience and cost we saved by printing our own is a huge plus. Overall has been a wonderful addition to our small business and I believe it would be just as good for any size business. I definitely recommend it. The only criticism I have of the printer is the cost of the ink. It is expensive but considering the money saved by the ability to print many things we would have had to pay a printing company for it evens out. Covers Everything I Needed

    Posted

After receiving the Epson WorkForce 7710, I used it to all if not most of its capabilities in order to put it to the test. I'll start by saying: it is massive (in comparison to my previous dinky printer). Some may see that as a bad thing, others may see it as having more power/capabilities. After finding space to place it in a not-so-spacious room, I began the setup portion. It was fairly easy to set up with directions in the pamphlet and on the just over 4" tilting touchscreen display. There was a little bit of a scavenger hunt when attempting to find and remove all the tape that keeps moving parts stationary upon shipping. As I'm sure many others may do, a lot of my setup process was done without looking at the instructions. Epson definitely makes setup user friendly (with some added capabilities for the techies in terms of networking and other options most others wouldn't pay attention to). A major selling point for me is the ability to connect and print from mobile devices. It allows me to look at the document I require on my email through my mobile device and print it out without ever having to boot up my computer. This alone ranks high on convenience in my opinion. Scanning and faxing work really well also, in the time I have had the printer so far. The one other problem I've had so far is with the ink. This may not be printer though, just the cartridges that were included. One test I had was printing a picture onto normal paper from my mobile device. Not a wide range of colors, but enough to test. Certain areas ran a little soggy compared to others (as to be expected when printing full images). The problem occurred shortly after when printing documents for work and discovering that after 1 document and 1 full picture, there were some faded lines in normal documents. Now, I don't print often since mostly everything is fax-to-email or scanned to my computer, so this doesn't bother me that much. But for someone who prints many pages very often, different ink may help. Though I'm no expert. All in all, I am pleased with this printer for my personal/ professional use. The couple problems I have may not affect some, but others may have bigger problems with it. If you have a table or part of the desk to place the printer, the size is no problem. If you don't need all the features of scanning and faxing, maybe stick to a smaller/cheaper model. But if you have the space for it and don't run through ink terribly quick, I definitely recommend this product, for personal and professional use. I received this printer last week and the first thing I noticed was the big box that it was packaged in and I realized that was for a good reason! Upon opening the box everything is well packaged and easily manageable. The printer is big and has some weight to it and once you get it out of the box you can see how well made this all-in-one is! I am very impressed with the quality of this all-in-one! After unpacking and installing the ink cartridges which I recommend getting the XL cartridges when it comes time replace the cartridges since the wide-format printing can use a lot of ink. Using the enclosed very east to follow directions, I connected the WF-7710 to my home network and it was a breeze using WPS to connect. It also has a Ethernet port if you want to connect directly to your home router. I then registered for Epson Connect Services which was quite painless and easy and now every device on my network from iPad to Android can print to the WF-7710. whether from home or away from home. .I am also able to print directly to the WF-7710 using NFC from my Samsung phone which is a very nice touch! and speaking of touch the 4.3" LCD touch screen is nice and vibrant and very easy to navigate. Now for the most important part of the WF-7710 which is printing. The WF-7710 has 2 paper options, it has a normal tray that holds 250 sheets of paper and a "rear feeder" for " specialty paper projects" I am in a household with multiple users and we are always having to print "projects" and the ability to print wide-format prints at 13" x 19" and the option to print 2 sided prints is a HUGE plus! Now as far as print quality, this Epson WF-7710 is great with vibrant accurate, true to life colors and quick printing speeds. Scanning on this WF-7710 is awesome! I love the automatic document feeder two sided scanning option and 'scanning to destination" menu is convenient with options to scan to a shared folder and "scan to email" are perfect. I haven't tried the "send to fax" option yet but I received a fax yesterday with no issues.. In general everything about this printer is great and I have no complaints so far! If you are looking for a all-in-one wide format printer loaded with features that handles up to 13" x 19" print projects and has the ability to scan up to 11" x 17" than I highly suggest you pick up the Epson WF-7710 you won't regret your decision! Great Home Office Printer!

When working remotely for a living, it’s important to make sure your home office has all the amenities of a real office. This includes Keurig Coffee maker, comfy office chair, sit/stand desk, proper lighting and a good printer. Enter the WF-7710! This is basically a Color Wireless Inkjet cartridge printer. The special things about this beast is the ability to Fax, Scan and print in LARGE format 19 inch A3 formats. Edge to edge which is nice for printing pictures. Setup was as easy as it gets. I didn’t even read the manual. Pull all of the little tape things off to make sure all the parts can move, plug it in and then load up the cartridges. The nice touch screen walks you through the whole process once powered up. Once unwrapped, the cartridges just snap right in. Easy Peasy. I think the ink is a little expense for these at around 60 bucks but the colors come out clean and dry almost instantly after printing. You can see the paper drawer below is HUGE. I can’t imagine any office printing needing much bigger formats than this for normal printer jobs. Once powered up and the cartridges installed, the Wi-Fi set up was super easy. The printer does include an Ethernet port for hardwiring which is also really nice. Once on the network, I was pleasantly surprised to see the printer notify me and then pull down a firmware update. Love that even after you purchase something, it continues to get better. My first test was a wireless print from my iPhone 6S+. I love the convenience of just printing a picture or email RIGHT FROM THE PHONE. It’s super easy and was printing in just a few clicks. The print came out in about 30 seconds and was completely dry and edge to edge. Very happy with the quality. The print was on a normal 8x11 piece of plain printer paper. This quality is great for school projects, work handouts or anything of that nature. We also printed a greeting card on heavy stock that came out great. Since it’s 2018, I had no reason to test the fax machine but scanning worked as expected and the scan bed is nice and big to accommodate large format scans. So for around $250, this is a perfect All in One printer. No issues at all, met expectations in terms of price and wireless printing from the iPhone is killer. I also liked that after about 5 minutes of idle time, the printer went into low Power save mode. Workforce should be called Workhorse!

My first impression of the Epson Workforce WF-7710 was that it was massive! After using this for the past week now I'm thoroughly impressed with all the features this printer has to offer. Setup for me was a breeze - I was up and running in under five minutes. The longest part of the installation was a firmware update. This connected flawlessly with my home network and my laptop was printing right after setup. The touch display was extremely easy to use and walked me through the setup process. The quality of the printing was fantastic. Color printing was vivid and crisp. What I like the most about this printer is the wide feed capability. I haven't been able to print out graphs before on other printers without shrinking them and this allows me to do. In my job I print out a lot of surveys and plat maps so this helps tremendously. Other features that I'm finding useful with printer are: the large capacity feeding tray, the manual feeding tray in the back of the unit, the scanning features (and auto feeder which will hold up to 35 pages), and the 2-sided printing features. This also works with my iPhone X to print directly from my phone which comes in handy. I’ve owned Epson printers in the past but none have come close to the features that this printer has offered. I would highly recommend this printer if you’re looking for a true all-in-one printer that is easy to use and setup. Fast and Energy Efficient

The Epson WF-7710 Wide Format All-in-One Printer is a fast and energy efficient workhorse. This can print, scan, and fax a variety of different sizes, double-sided, color, and more. There are a ton of settings to make it completely customized to your home or office needs. Even in color it prints fast and the pages come out looking great. It will go to sleep quickly to conserve power but takes no time at all to light up and get back to work at the touch of a button, insert of paper, or request through your computer. For the initial set-up, the printer is heavy and may take 2 people to get it out of the box. There are no worries about having this shipped because it is packed in tight with lots of tape to keep the parts in place. There is only 1 page for set up instruction which is easy to follow, along with the on screen prompts. The ink cartridges pop in easily. There are no odd angles or weird wiggling them in and they all fit perfectly next to each other. I was making copies within minutes (it take about 6 minutes for the printer to set up the ink once you insert the cartridges). Setting this up on my computer was super easy as well. I don't have a cd drive, but the instructions provide the direct link to be able to install the drivers online. It took about 15 minutes to download and install on my slow internet connection. After that it will take you through the wifi connection, which was another 4 minutes, and then there is a firmware update. It took 9 minutes for part on of the update. It says you will need to turn the printer off and on again, but it will do it all by itself, making it much easier to setup. Another 2 minutes and it will turn off and back on again, then you are ready to finish the setup and registration, which was another 5 minutes. Your printer will be given its own email address and you can print directly to it from anywhere. I tested this out and it printed instantly. Overall, this is a huge improvement over my old printer. Even the control panel is adjustable, up to a 40 degree angle so that it is easy to use the touch screen and then push it back down to save space when not in use. Great multifunctional printer

Upon receiving this printer I was surprised how large it was, but very excited to get it out of the box and setup. It is rather heavy and may require two people to get it out of the box. I had no issues getting it out of the box, placing it in a suitable location, and connecting the two cords (phone cord for fax and power cord). Upon powering up the printer it quickly walks you through the steps for setup. The touch screen is very easy to see, functions well, and is easy to navigate through each menu. I setup WiFi printing very quickly with no problems. Printing from the iPads and iPhones is a cinch! Double sided prints and choosing what pages to print is very straight forward. The border less printing is nice but it tends to cut off some of your picture. The speed of the printer is impressive. I have printed pictures on a few different types of paper. The quality is ok. This is not a photo quality printer. Printing word documents is fast and good quality. You can even use a highlighter without smudging the words. I used a thumb drive to print but was only given the option to print jpeg or tiff files. I wanted to print a dox file. I searched around to see if that is an option but I haven’t found any options yet. The copy functionality is great! The enlarge/reduce capabilities are amazing. My favorite option is to have 4 full size pages printed on one side of one full page. I am a teacher and this is a great tool to make study guides for my students that they will actually use. The documents are very legible and you can choose several different arrangements. The only cons I have found is the weight/size may make it difficult to move for some, and the ink cartridges have low capacity. These may not be cons to others. This device has so many different capabilities, it will be a while before I use them all. I have already recommended this to two people that have home offices. I run a small business repairing, selling and installing PC's and printers. I was a loyal HP printer customer until almost EVERYONE of my customers had the same problem: "Printer Offline" and eventually "Print head Failure". Therefore, this last year I switched to Epson inkjet printers. Including this model WF-7710, and several of these models: WF-4720 and WF-3720. From the beginning setup on EVERY Epson printer, I would receive an error message, "Paper Mismatch". This is right out of the box, confirming 8.5 X 11 plain paper during setup. Why can’t Epson design a printer without this error coming up? My other gripe is this, try printing a large print job, say 50 pages. Throughout the final prints, I have numerous blank pages. Any large print job has numerous blanks! This is after fanning the paper stack for at least one minute in all directions. New printer, out of the box, setup exactly to Epson specs ...this stuff should not happen! The other issue with the WF-7710 is this: Let us say you load your feed tray with maximum amount of paper and print a large print job. The tray where the paper ends up will NOT hold those sheets; they end up all over the floor! Does anyone know of a printer company who makes a decent inkjet printer without these flaws? I am very disappointed with Epson.

    Great photo Printer

NOTE: before doing any printing, do a print head check, and Print head alignment, I noticed an improvement in printouts after doing this step, Epsom should recommend this. I have had the Epson WorkForce WF-7710 For a Few days now. One of the first things I did was set it up and print out a high gloss Photo Image the came out looking like a professional print. Printing was quick with paper cassette tray filled. I have not tried the NFC / Wifi Direct (No Need) but this will make direct printing from mobile Devices that support printing a snap. I use Google Print and pairing was very simple via the Web UI. The Web UI is intuitive but not as polished as it could be. Touch Screen controls are intuitive to navigate and pairing to my home wifi network was simple. Scan for networks select mine type in the password using the Onscreen Touch Keyboard. I was able to scan a document front and back with the ADF Scanner using the Epson Network Scanner app, I was not able to get windows to scan natively from the scanner. Supports Google Cloud Print, AirPrint, Epson email Print using their software registration program. Scan to Cloud, I was looking forward to using scan to cloud, it does not appear that google drive / docs is supported and I have to use the Epson Software to set it up. Printer is BIG Length 22 in Width 18 - 22 in depending if you use the back bypass tray and have the touch panel pulled up. Hight 14 - 22 in 22 is with ADF sheet tray lifted up, otherwise it is only 14in high CON No google drive support Starter cartridges for ink. I think if you spend almost 300$ for a printer you should get full use Ink cartridges, I will say these trial cartridges are lasting a bit. Issues with Windows not auto detecting and installing the drivers. Clunky webUI “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce WF-7710 Wide Format All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Printer arrived fast and was packaged well. It was a tad bit bigger than I expected but manageable. Setup was pretty easy. The "auto" wireless setup did not work for me, but manual setup was very easy. I just pressed the wps button on my router and viola it was connected. The touchscreen is a good size and easy to use. I loved that it had illustrated instructions on how to insert the ink for the first time. As far as use, the printer is awesome. I have a basic black and white laser printer and the quality and speed on this Epson are the same. I was very surprised how fast it prints. I pressed print and turned around it there it was in seconds. I love the ability to print from my apple iphone also. It has been working flawlessly with all my devices. I printed a color photo and was very surprised how good it looked, even on cheap copy paper. Black and white also prints very well and you really can't tell the difference in quality from the laser black and white. It can handle a variety of paper sizes and types and I love that I scan larger items than my old printer. Overall I am very impressed with this printer. It is easy to use, works without issue, and prints at a very high quality. After just returning the Canon Maxify MB2720 (almost entirely worthless without three days to tweak), a horrible web interface, and more; Read my review on Bestbuy. Onto the Epson. First, while it is a 2% feature for us as far as printing goes, scanning at A3 paper size is always nice for larger drawings, or my old style drafting images. Second, the setup is simple-stupid easy. The Epson web apps allow for local (via wifi or by IP), as well as with your dedicated Epson printer email (a super slick function). The included software is accurate, allows for integrated registration of your printer with Epson as part of the installation and configuration. While this is not a photo quality printer, nor does it pretend to be, the image I sent from my Samsung S8 Active was more than acceptable. The print quality and speed are more than better than we need at home, and this is after stepping down from a 7-year-old HP OfficeJet Pro X476DW. You can remove and replace print heads anytime you want or need too, unlike Canon's Apple view of the world. My wife's iPhone 8 connects and prints like a champ, so no qualms with Apple AirPrint integration on this device. Now that I'm in an entirely different (and lower) class printer, I will not be expecting similar longevity, but if a $149 printer can give me 2-3 years of reliable printing I will continue to be ecstatic with my purchase. Yes, I did consider the HP OfficeJet Pro 8740, but at the price point difference, I got extra (XL) refill cartridges, the $20 two year Bestbuy protection, and was still $70 less for almost the exact same feature set.

This is the first Epson brand printer I have ever used, and I regret waiting so long! I was shocked at the size of the device and very excited about the large scan and print capability. Opening the box I noticed several blue tapes so while removing those I took a good look at all the mechanics. The printer can print from the front but also has a rear feed option if you have paper you don't want to get bent. The starting instructions are very well written. Straight forward without a ton of excessive text, it also includes very specific comments that make sure you have no questions about how anything goes. I used the included disc to download to my desktop, the website to connect my 2 different types of laptops to the network, and the app on my iPhone. The desktop had some issues connecting using the automatic reccomended settings (it is an old desktop so it could have been the computer). Once I selected to manually add the printer to the network the instructions were also very specific and easy to follow, connection was successful. I was concerned how well the large capacity paper tray would work, I filled it and have had no issues with it grabbing more than 1 paper at a time for each print task. I had a few concerns about this printer due to past experiences with other brands of printers, none of my concerns have been an issue with this Epson WorkForce 7710. It easily connects to multiple devices. Doesnt have any issues adjusting to different paper sizes or types. I tested printing double sided pages with no issue and the photo quality was great. I often print on index card and envelopes, this printer functions so well with all the jobs I have tested. I'm beyond pleased with this device.
