The printer is great, ink goes fast!

This is an average printer. Not very fast.

I would avoid this printer

Scanning continues to be a problem. The print is sometimes a little smudged on many occasions. When I switch printers I removed my old ink cartridge. The old printer recognizes them as having ink left. The new printer did not so I had to buy more cartridges.

Pick Another Printer. Really.

It won't stay connected to my computer; when scanning, I have to use a USB stick to transfer a scan to my computer; and, other than when printing a test page (which works perfectly) it won't print black. I've updated firmware, reloaded drivers, and spent hours on the phone with tech support. No improvement. It's junk.

OK printing, but really really fussy!

However, (and despite what the sales person said about ease of use) the printer/scanner has been very difficult to manage within a Windows 10 environment. The customer service from Epson was OK. Took two calls to get the printer and my HP to communicate in Windows. Even now, we have to resend about 1/2 of the documents that we try to print. Works much better with Mac products.

Print & scan is good. Networking is poor.

Took it to work and could not print from laptops. The iPad also lost its ability to print. One guy was able to print from an Android phone. Got a 15' cable the next day and that works, but have to move from laptop to laptop. Ridiculous.

scanner misses pages

The printer works fine but the scanner skips pages. It happens almost every time I scan which is very frustrating since I now have to go thru page by page to see if each page is there. Very seldom do they all scan so I have to rescan as many as 4 times before each page is there. Did I say very frustrating?!

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Epson WorkForce WF-7720 Wide Format All-in-One Printer At first when I received the printer I was a little shocked of the size of the box. The printer itself is also pretty big for a small home office, but the ability to print larger format items is kind of the trade off for the size. My fiancé was put off by the size, but after I explained what I would be able to do with it for our upcoming wedding she began to overlook the size also. Set up was very simple. Open box, take out of box/remove packing materials, plug into electrical outlet and turn on. I think it took me less than 10 minutes to unpackage and setup the printer. After it was connected to my wireless network it said that there was a firmware update which took about 5 minutes. So within 15 minutes I was connected and able to print from all devices in my house. I really like the user interface of the printer. Very easy to use and the touch screen is perfect. I also like that there are 2 paper trays for different sized papers. I have been a laser printer guy for a long time and did not think that this inkjet would live up to my expectations. But I am very impressed by print quality. I have printed a bunch of 8.5”x11” items so far and a couple 11”x14” pictures/posters for our wedding reception. I have also printed a couple of examples of the wedding program and as soon as the finishing touches are added to them I will be printing them on this printer as well. The print quality is very crisp and clear for an inkjet printer. I am very impressed by what I have been able to do so far with it. Compared to printers I have owned in the past the ink refills seem to be reasonably priced. I am not sure how many prints you can get before needing refills, but I haven’t had to buy any yet. Overall I think this is a very good product my only issue again is the size. But again that is compensated by the large format prints that are available. Knowing what I know about this printer now I would purchase one if I was in the market for one. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce WF-7720 Wide Format All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Posted .Dear Tim, Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors to work. Even when you are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged, preventing air bubbles from entering. Air bubbles can damage the print head. Poor quality

The wireless printing has never worked well but at least it printed but 2 months ago it just stopped working. I was not concerned thinking it was something simple but after speaking with Epson and trying to get the system fixed I was told that the harddrive had failed. I would assume this would be covered as the hard drive should not fail within 2 years but I was shocked to be told that I could get a 15% discount to purchase another poorly constructed product. What a waste of my good money. I should have already known not to purchase from Epson based on my past experience. This is the last product I will purchase from them.
