This control was added for my radar detector. Although I think it could be designed a little better, it works perfectly to mute the alarms for the detector.

This cord make for a clean install of the radar detector. With my MAX360 mounted to the rear view mirror and no cords to be seen is a plus. Only thing I wish they would change is the mute case. At least make it where it can be a flush mount design for everyone.

For truck owners, or those without a fuse panel inside the cabin, be ready to add several feet of wire. RJ jack cable should be 12-18" longer to help larger vehicles, button placement limited due to shortness of this cable.

It work great to install it in my car I just wish the radar cane with one that was longer to install and did not have to buy one

At the time I had my Escort Radar Detector hardwired I purchased this cord. It blends in with my dash perfectly. Looks like it came with my car. Being able to mute the radar when false alerts arise is a much needed feature.

A must have if you own an ESCORT detector. This will free up the plug in your car and makes it FAR easier to mute and it also powers on and off with the car far more efficiently!

Works for what it does. If your trying to hard wire your radar then it’s perfect.

I wanted to hardwire the radar and am happy with the plug they provided. It is identical to that you receive with the unit for the ashtray plug. I have enjoyed setting this up, now just time for hiding the below wire to switch.

From day one this product did great and have never had any problems with it!! I did have to make my own minor adjustments!! Which i say do at your own risk because it is an electrical product!!! Great addition if you dont wanna deal with and ugly cord though!!

Well worth the money. Dosen't cost that much and you don't have wires exposed or your 12v port taken up. Has a button on it to mute the alarm as well. Very nice!

Works great. I hardwired this and hid the wires. It's the same connector that my Uniden uses. I do not know if the remote mute works with my Uniden since I hid it inside the fuse box. No issues though.

I was always fumbling for the item that was falling from the windshield, now with the in dash adapter it is on the dash with no problems, my eyes are on the road!!!

Definitely worth the upgrade from 2.1 speakers that I had before.

Get rid of the coiled aux outlet cord and just hard wire. Truly the Escort detector should have a better/smaller plug to begin with...but it doesn't. This is an easy install to tuck along the windshield & headliner. I removed the wire tap connector and installed an add-a-fuse (auto parts store) and with a simple lighted circuit probe found a switched fuse to use. Much cleaner, worth the time to install.

This makes the mounted radar look so much cleaner. Had a geek squad member install it and it was such a clean and discrete look.

This accessory makes the radar detector much easier to use and keeps your car neater vecause there is no curly cord draped over your dash. If you aren't good at routing wires and popping off some internal trim pieces find a friend with those skills.

I go through these things like crazy since I always forget to remove it before selling my car. Escort is all I’ll ever use in my cars and love all their products.

Very useful! Allows for a discreet setup instead of using the cigarette lighter connection.
