Easily paid for itself in the first week of use. Very easy to set up and use. The directional arrows are very helpful. Even spots and locates traffic camera radars.

I used the 9500i as a speedometer. I could see the speed on it easier than my eyes could adjust to see the speed dial in the dash. The Max shows the speed in a small square on the left that I can barely see. You can change the background color of the square, and that helps. The software to configure this is a hot mess. There is a max speed alert (useless) that can only be turned off in the Drive Smart app. I had a horrible time getting this app to work. It took a while to get it connected via Bluetooth. I'd make a change on the phone, but it wouldn't show on the detector. Changing things like color should show instantly on the detector when you change in the app. Then I found Escort Live, which works better but doesn't allow for all the changes. You can connect to your PC to update the firmware but not the settings. With Escort Live up on your phone, you will see things like speed traps and speed cameras. The big downside is when it goes off, like when a cop passes by, it will ask you if it's real. If you say yes, it'll mark that area as if a cop were sitting there. I'd get a lot of cop ahead when there wasn't one. There are a ton of options you can change in the app. You can turn on/off a lot of bands. I doubt many will have any idea what to pick here. You can change how things like band and signal strength are displayed and how the arrows work. Overall, I'm ok with it. Being able to use the whole display to show your speed would be great.

Could definitely use a better app, it doesn't seem to update after awhile it’ll just announce it if someone said there was a cop there 3 days ago.
