Works as Promised...but Pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using for a couple of weeks now. I bought this after my Escort Passport 2 bit the dust. The first thing I noticed was I was no longer getting the false alerts from GM Vehicles, Hondas, Acura's and foreign cars. That alone is almost worth the $500 bucks. Every now and then, it will pick up a Honda or Cadillac. I was concerned when it started picking up false X-band on my way to work, but after the 3rd day, it recognized it and stored it in the memory. It did pick up a State Trooper from about a mile out around a curve, giving me plenty of time to adjust my speed. The arrow is accurate in pointing out the direction the radar is coming from. The app is worthless since there's no one using it, but I leave it running in the background so it will tell the speed limit to the detector. Also, there are so many buttons, I get confused when trying to turn it off or mark a speed trap. Maybe I'll get used to that over time. All in all it's a solid radar detector and Escort has always been reliable. If you can afford the price, it's worth it.

Best value for your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely the best radar detector on the market. I researched this a lot before buying. Nothing beats the range. I hoped there would be better filtering of blind spot monitoring radars but I don’t think any detector can beat it. O can’t speak about detector invisibility as I don’t have a radar detector detector. The gps works well with marking spots and the alerts aren’t piercing like other detectors.

Best Radar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best Radar I have ever owned!! It is great for city and highway driving. I like the arrows that point where the police are. It paid for it self the first day I had it installed. I was going 15 over and it started beeping and I slowed down and sure enough there he was hitting about half mile up. The range that this thing has is unbelievable. I highly recommending getting the hard wired kit. It makes it look nice and clean with no wires and there’s a mute button right there. It took me 3 months of deciding to spend that much on a radar. I just wish I would have bought right away!!

Great detector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this detector now for 2 days and am still learning more about it. However I like that I don't need to look down at my speedometer. It alerts me when I've gone over the speed limit. I also really like how it detects how fast I'm going as since I have larger tires than what would be stock (lifted SUV) it shows what speed I'm traveling at. This morning I passed two parked NHP officers who were running traffic enforcement and the detector picked them up before I could see them. I had the detector installed by a local electronics company and I'm glad I did.

Sensitive and quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dropped my 4 year old Escort 9500ix and broke it, which was the unfortunate but perfect excuse to finally upgrade to the Max360. I was surprised by the larger and heavier form factor, but I'm guessing the additional antennas required for the directional arrows are a major culprit. The mounting cup, with its angle adjustment screw is a major upgrade over previous mounts. I could previously run my daily routes in Highway mode on my 9500ix with the GPS filtering taking care of all the unwanted interference, but around town the Max360 in Highway mode is chirping with a lot more frequency, particularly with all the new car technology that uses onboard radar (adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, etc.). The directional arrows make it easy to interpret when a passing vehicle is the culprit, or when radar reflection was to blame. A switch to auto mode, took out 90% of the false alerts as the GPS system learns the fixed locations. In my opinion, Waze makes the EscortLive system useless, as Waze's much larger user base gives you a more accurate view of police activity, albeit without the pre-warning of which radar band to be looking at. Waze is free however, while Escort still wants to charge you for their EscortLive network. All in all, very happy. Suggest you price check the major online only retailer, as it allowed me to save $100 with BestBuy's price match and still apply some gift cards.

Great detector
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Escort Smart Cord - Direct Wire has key features which include mute button, alert led and power led on an inline module. It is compatible with current detector models such as Passport 8500 X50, Passport 8500, Solo S2 and Passport 7500S. It also fits the earlier detectors like the Passport 7500 and Passport 6800. From the Manufacturer The direct wire SmartCord accessory is a unique power cord with a power-on indicator, an alert LED lamp that warns you of radar and laser, and a convenient mute button. Users wire the cord directly into the vehicle fuse panel, and then mount the display module within arm's reach. It's the perfect addition for any driver who might have trouble reaching the detector's mute button on the windshield. The SmartCord also features a dark mode for discreet night driving, so other drivers won't know you have a detector. The direct wire SmartCord is compatible with contemporary Escort Passport 8500 X50, Solo S2, and Passport 7500S models, along with earlier Passport 8500, 7500, and 6800 detectors.

Amazing!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is great device. Lockouts false alarms and picks up on 5-0 from extremely far away. Well enough for me to slow down! Haha over all this is the best detector out as far as features. Yes there are others with longer range but with that much range you risk getting more Bogeys than not! Happy racing

Excellent Radar Detector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent radar detector. Must mate it to your phone via bluetooth to customize. Excellent detection of both K and Ka band radar. Blocks out false alerts very well. If I had to say one negative thing about this detector; it is heavy and large. This is due to having memory storage and GPS onboard.

Perfect For Those Who Drive Fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a while, did enough research and finally made my purchase. I couldn’t be happier, especially when it warned me that there was a Big Bear (CHiP) in the Forest (Highway). It’s been a couple of months, but straight out of the box it worked. Make sure you mount it under the rear view mirror. Since the scanner is blocking out false signals in my neighborhood and usual routes. Enjoy it like I have and drive safely.

Easy setup
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up. You can mute known falses and fine tune performance to your personal preference. kind of spendy but that's midrange these days. It will pay for itself if your a real leadfoot.

Max 360
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can say I am very impressed with the look and design and quality of the new Max 360 . this is really awesome and seems to be sturdy and built well. I drive 65+ highway miles and about 20 in city miles daily and always run the detector in either highway or auto No X mode. Seems to have a lot of K band faults while on the highway mode on Ka mode I am seeing the smokies, but I am still learning how to use this device. Getting more than I like X band alerts and k band alerts while in the city or ( auto no x mode), but hope to learn how to get rid of those soon. It's a toy for me right now, but it has slowed me down and actually made a better driver. I like the Max 360 because it has a lot of extra features, Which others don't have.

4,700 mile road trip saved us 6 speeding tickets!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wanting to get a new radar detector for a number of years. As we were planning a 4,700 mile road trip I figured it was time. I did a lot of research and this unit kept coming out on top. I was not disappointed. The unit worked so well. It took us a little while to fully understand what was going on, but once we did it became so telling and accurate. My only negative is the size. Wish it could be a little smaller, but given the front and rear detection it's worth it!!

Fast. Long Rang. Smart!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long time professional speeder. This is be far the best detector on the consumer retail market! Super long range. Like all detectors, it’s sensitive to crash avoidance systems on other cars (block them). Curious as to how many signals it can remember to block. Direction arrows are a must! Have had trouble pairing to my phone for app use but a fix is coming I’m sure. Buy THIS detector!

Top of the line
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product . I had previously bought the max 2, but returned it for the 360. Quite a jump in price, but the addition of directional arrows so you know where the source of radar it's coming from is a must. Otherwise you have no idea where to expect "smokey" to come from . This thing is pretty darn smart too. If you take the same route to work every day, it picks up identical signals and filters them out. That way you don't have to listen to false alerts every single day at the same time .
