The detector has great range and false alarms prevention.

I have owned "Passport" products before and have had great success with them all. I usually wait for things that "I want" to go on sale before I buy them. This sale was just a day late.... 77 in a 60. 200.00 plus 2 points. I bought this the day after on sale... I know they work and the GPS warns you when you are in a speed trap area...

This is an excellent all around radar detector. I bought this after reading many reviews. It's been around for a few years without any update until recently. There's a reason why, the design is superb and looks super cool in the car. There are the occasional false alerts but it's the same with most detectors. It's not that bad. This unit has saved me a few times already so it's practically paid for itself. It's a little on the expensive side, but if you can find one on sale, I'd say grab one while you can. They won't be around much longer.

I needed to update my old cobra radar detector, so I researched cobra and escort detectors. Based on features and reviews, I chose the 9500ix. It's not the top of the line radar detector, but it's just as good. I do like the red light camera feature.

This is a great device that performs exactly as stated. However, the Best Buy website said that my nearest store had three so I went there and they had none! The store they sent me to was listed as having them in stock when I got there they had none and the sales person strongly pressured me into buying it from him (for commission or points) but I could pick it up at a third store. Beware of Best Buys poorly maintained inventory system or you could be running around a half day to replace something you want to take on vacation with you.

This is a really good radar detector. However, I wish it would stop picking up waves from stores and such. And I wish that it would only tell me a cop was near when I'm speeding. Other than that, it's really worked well for me thus far.

This is a great radar, but it's a little pricey for what it does. Overall, I would still recommend this product because it did save me on my trip to Vegas couple of times.

This is the best radar detector i have ever used. It has great range and sensitivity

I had a long road trip last year up to Ohio to visit family. Back when I lived in Texas I had a radar detector running all the time and I was about to drive for 10 hours so I thought, heck, why not get one? Well sure enough within the day I was going 75 in a 60 and the detector went off. I came over the hill and sure enough, there was a cop! So yeah, works and worth the money!

This is all you need. I spent 330 on this detector. Well worth it simple to use.

It is very effective, maybe too effective. Numerous alerts for k band, but nothing in sight. You can hit the mute button. It has a wide volume range of sound.

Easy to use right out of box. Minimal false alerts and remembers and silences false alerts after 3 times. Bluetooth eliminates another wire. I recommend strongly!

This escort is the second I have purchased from Best Buy and now I have one in each of my cars. Very satisfied!

I have only used this for about a month. But so far I really like it. It stores false alarms after 3 passings. I got this because my father has this model and has had it for years and loves it. I previously had the escort 8500 x50. I had that one for 8 almost 9 years and loved it. Recently got a new car and decided to get a new radar detector with it so far so good.

Bought this Escort for my wife and it really works well. I've always had good luck with Escorts over the years and this one is no exception. I purchased a Valentine V1 a few years back and its one of the best I've ever used, but with the newer cars having lane departure waning and radar guided cruise control, it now sits in the trunk because it constantly goes off.
