The best radar detector yet , everyone in my house has one /1

Doesn't have a lot of false alerts and has good range

This radar picks up on you know who sooner then my other radar detectors. What's even better is its not going off all the time to false positives!

This detector is one of the best detctors I have purchased. Used it on a trip and was aware of radar/laser miles in advance of their locations. Well worth the investment.

It's doesn't get any better then to know where the red light cameras are and speed cameras and I haven't had any false alerts

This unit advertises a lot of added features like gps, speed trap updates, etc. You will never make use of those. Save yourself money and buy a good unit with Ka band which most police use. The rest is just fluff.

I replaced my previous Escort 8500, which doesn't have the features this one does, namely, firmware updates for redlight cameras and GPS. My wife already had this model, and I finally upgraded myself. It's nice to know I won't accidentally run into a red-light camera without some prior knowledge of it being there :) Highly recommend it.

I hooked it up and placed it on the windshield and started driving. There is not much you have to do. It started finding things it knew about, and things it did not know about. After passing something in my neighborhood 3 times, it stored that location in its memory!

I had been wanting to purchase a radar detector for several years. When this item was offered as a deal of the day I jumped on it. I am very pleased with it. So far the detector has performed as advertised. My husband and I recently went on vacation through Ohio, KY, Tennessee & Alabama and it worked great!

It works great maybe too great. Not only is it great at spotting police radar it tends to pick up every electronic sign too. But, once you learn the types of band codes it's very accurate. So it if you don't mind it going off every time you approach a work zone or automated speed sign it's worth it. And you can always mute it.

My boyfriend got this for me and it works great, I don't go anywhere without it!

I've had multiple radar detectors, dollar for dollar this is my hands down favorite. I was alerted over 3 miles away of a state trooper running laser. Great product , I've owned the Passport Max 2 on two occasions but now have two of these.

The escort is a great product and I love it. It is the third one I have bought .wouldn't travel without it now.

used this on 2 12hr plus trips and it picked up every police car we saw on the highway. I think it works great. does need a longer plug that doesn't coil up. had to get an extention so I can plug it into my out lit in a new 2016 Maxima.

The product is really made well, picks up radars a couple miles before you even see the cops with there radar.

We have enjoyed using the radar detector. The alerts are wonderful. Nice to travel without the added worry!

It learns your route and blocks out false signals to now interrupt your driving. It alerts you to a possible police in advance. It also warns you of speed traps,and red light cameras. You can also connect it to your smart phone using Escort Live. I'll be honest and say i have not used Escort Live yet but i have heard very nice things about it. I also had it hard wired through best buy.

Really like the detector. It has already alerted me many times to potential speed traps. It takes some getting used to in order to learn the features. The associated app seems more of a gee-whiz type of thing. I don't see any real benefit to it yet.

With GPS tech. For location of speed and red light cameras it's by far the most advanced radar on the market. I transfer it between cars and have the app on my phone to communicate with the other users. If you speed you will not regret this purchase

The gps is great on this. It learns stores so it doesn't go off if you pass them frequently. You can set it where there are speed blocks. And so far it has picked up every cops we have ever passed, and with more then enough time to do a speed check!
