I already had one so i knew that it works great.I have had a lot of radar detectors in the past and I have always bought the best and for the money this is the best. You won't go wrong with this unit has a very long range.

This is my 2nd one for a second vehicle. This thing is amazing. Reaches out at great distances. Learn to trust it in a hurry. It works amazingly well. Worth the extra coin.

Reliably detects signals with adequate warning. GPS is the best feature though. After a few trips around town it has filtered out the vast majority of false signals. Redlight/speed cam database is also great, but you have to pay to update.

This is a really good radar detector. It uses GPS signals to know where you are and alerts you about red light cameras with those. It is built really sturdy, specially compared to the newer Escort Radar Detectors. People say this is out dated and is 10 years old but it works great. I didn't get that many false signals from car blind spot monitors on cars. And you can turn off alerts that you dont want (mainly x band). Overall, this is one great radar detector and I still recommend it (in 2017) despite it being "old" technology, which I don't think it is. But buy it on sale, don't pay full retail price.

After a number of trips using this radar detector, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. It often alerts me prior to being able to see any vehicles. Great investment.

Great on highway. Throws alot of false alarms in city, but if you take time to manually exempt them it's pretty good. It does pick up vehicles with lane keeping technology, but you'll get used to it. Only thing to consider if if you'll be disciplined enough to actually use it. I kept it. It's a nice unit.

The radar still is exceptional for city driving. Blocks out false alarms well. Still pricey for a dated radar.

I have tested various brands of radar detectors, and this is by far the best I have ever owned. I thought it was over priced at first, until I saw it in action it is very accurate and gives plenty of warning so u can adjust your speed.

This detector lives up to it's reviews I read online. It's a great unit. I love how the codes are stored, and I dont get false alarms driving by stores now locally. If you're ready to step up from the 75-100 dollar range this is the one.

Definitely recommend this product! I've had a few different brand over the years and this is by far the best radar detector I have ever purchased. Very accurate. Picks up very few security alarms in stores!

This is the step lower from the escort max. But it does not mean it is inferior in any way. I ended up returning this only because for $100 more I can have the latest update in the Max. This 9500ix is still a great detector.

This detector comes packaged nicely with all you need to install quickly in your vehicle. It does feature many less false alarms than previous models I have owned. The true alerts however do not come as quickly as a driver might like. Overall, a good unit but could be improved.
