This is the best radar especially because of the price but it also does everything you need it to like automatically stores false alarms detects police up to like 1 mile away and also detects red light cameras and speed trap cameras awesome product

the escort radar detector is very user friendly it does what it is said it can do, you can also get the unit hard wired into your car with remote indicator light that makes the unit a little more hidden

The Passport 9500ix radar detector does a great job of detecting radar at great distances. It also is great for locating red light cameras. Also, it learns quickly with just a couple of passes by motion detectors in shopping centers, etc.

I decided to upgrade from the 8500 after 7 years since the responsiveness of that model was on the decline. This newer model is at times overly sensitive but a great device comparatively and includes several operating bands that were not available on the previous model, plus if you have a blue LED panel on your dashboard this model fits right in unlike the 8500's blaring red lights.

As someone who drives a new BMW with a twin-turbo V8, not hard to imagine that a radar detector comes in handy. Working in downtown Indianapolis, the commute to and from my home is a drag. But with this radar detector, I have piece of mind making that commute a little shorter and getting home to my family a little faster. Obviously a radar detector isn't supposed to be an invitation for you to drive like an idiot and put others in danger. With that being said, it's incredible having piece of mind and knowing your hard earned money won't go to a speeding ticket. This detector is absolutely incredible. It is pretty much flawless in picking up all of the different detectors. It is almost too easy to use, just plug it in and after installing the super simple window mount and you're all set! Just be sure to pay close attention in the installation directions so you put the detector in the correct position. I also find it essential that the detector has internal memory so a sensor from something like automatic doors at a convenient store won't send the detector off every time you drive by said convenient store. If you are in the market for buying a radar detector, this 9500ix is the best value and Escort makes the best. Highly recommended.

I purchased the same product almost 4 years ago. The overall performance is excellent. Now, I bought it for my wife's car as well. I would strongly recommend it..

Seems to have good range. I did about 1000 mile on the Interstate last weekend and it saved me a ticket 6 times. Had one close one when one trooper was park sideways in the center divider behind a bush.

Bought this product for a road trip to Florida. It worked great the whole way down and back. I should've purchased this earlier and stop wasting my time with other radar detectors.

Quietest detector I've ever driven! I've had other detectors over the years and my biggest complaint has been annoying false alerts all the time. Built in GPS and database also helps a lot to alarm you the red light camera.

I purchased and returned both the Solo and a Max 2 , my third and final purchase was the 9500ix. this detector is well built, has extended detection range, a well functioning windshield attachment device, and does not an0ny you by continuously announcing that you are driving over the speed limit!!!

I ended up exchange for this one from an earlier purchase. It works much better than some of the cheaper models too. Keep in mind, drive safely is still number 1.

This is an expensive detector but it is worth every penny. The GPS works well to store false alarms and you rely on the detector when it goes off because it does not go off frequency, 9 out of 10 times when it goes off I can eventually find the police officer. This is not a license to speed but it helps protect you from getting unwanted speeding tickets by reminding you to keep your speed in check,

Should of bought one a long time ago. Works great both city and highway with plenty of warning and minimal false alarms.

This radar detector is old version but has a very solid performance, better than newly designed escort max series.

I have used this radar for a few months now and it's saved me already from a ticket...I actually drive slower now. I highly recommend this radar.

Excellent range, accurate. Stores false alerts automatically. Easy to operate, ready right out the box.

Works like a charm. The mount seems a little flimsy, but it holds well.And aftera few weeks of driving, quiet. This detector learns when a signal real or fake when you drive your regular routes. When it makes noise now, I know something is around. I also hate cords dangling so I bought the hard wire kit.

Silent turn on with just one beep is nice, has great range for X, K & KA. Memory feature is great for stopping unwanted false alarms.
