Ive had several detectors over the years and usually bought cheap ones. This one is not cheap but worth every penny. I love the GPS location on it and stores false readings and never gives another one in the same location. Accurate and dependable!! I highly recommend it, in fact now my husband also has one in his truck.

I've used radar detectors for nearly 20 years. I had to stop several years ago when I moved to Washington DC where they're illegal. After moving back home and getting hit with a ridiculous $200 speeding ticket when I know I was no more than 5 mph over the limit and two vehicles blew by me on the left and right right before I was pulled over, I decided enough was enough and did some hardcore research on what detectors are the best for the money. I discovered that you could either spend well over $500 for top end detectors, throw your money away for cheap models or invest in something in the $300 range. I picked up the 9500ix and put it to work. I had some serious reservations at first because it rarely picked up anything. Then I realized I was too use to older models that regularly sent off false alarms. This detector does work well. It picks up legitimate signals well in advance, and uses a feature that weeds out any false signals (few though they may be) once it picks them up several times in the same location. I fully recommend it.

Easy to use right out of the box. 4 hr trip and no tickets. Alerts you way in advanced.

Has saved me twice since purchasing it. Moved to a new truck and it's easier to speed than before with my lifter wrangler.

It only takes the Passport 9500IX one round trip of your commute to learn where the false signal transmitters are located. The next day all the door openers, burglar alarms etc. are gone and every signal is real. The range of this thing is fantastic also. I have used radar detectors for over 30 years and this is the best ever.

The radar has an incredible reach, it van detect from a very far distance, it is very helpful when traveling as much as I do.

Have used it a few times driving 4+/- hours. Performed as expected. I would recommend.

I bought this a month ago. I just attained the 'escort live!' smart cord for my iPhone 4S and it works wonderful. Con is the price and size. It is bit pricey for what it does but I guess it worth overtime. The size is too bulky compare to other products. The digital dash capability on the smartphone screen is bit inaccurate compare to my digital dash on my Boxster. The other minor issue is that the cable connector is located on the left side. I wish they had it on the back or the right hand side. But overall I love this new toy. =)

I love this radar. Saved me so many tickets. The gps feature blocks buisness that have alarm systems so it's not constantly going off all the time. I rarely ever get false alerts, but when it's a cop, I always know. Couldn't be happier. Great purchase. Can't imagine anyone regretting this buy.

Replaced my solo s2 which quit after almost 7 yrs. I decided to hard wire this one into my car and so far so good. I purchased a 3 yr warranty and updates directly from Escort for around $50. Easy to update by synching to my laptop. I had a USB cable that fit already but I expect a majority people would need to buy one. I like that I can store locations and that it uses Gps. Discovered some red light cameras locally I wasn't aware of. I also like that the speed is displayed when radar goes off. If going under 20 mph the radar will alert you briefly but the sound will not stay on. All in all I like this radar over my s2 and has been great for the 2 months I've owned it. My only gripe is it is expensive.

It does what it claims to do. Easily mark locations that are usually hot spots for your area for speed traps with the GPS feature. I tested it on stretch of road about 4 miles long with a permanent radar display post. Picked up the signal from about a mile away.

This device in the reviews I read seemed to be at the top of the list in performance. In the situations where radar was being used it detected well in advance which is what I hoped for. Solid purchase and have no complaints.

I highly recommend this radar, it will pay for itself. The GPS features are really great because it stores false alarms around town. The distance that it picks up the threat is amazing and gives you plenty of time to slow down. The smart cord is great because you don't have to reach all the way to the unit to put it on mute. Great product to own, worth every penny!!!

Bought this after two speeding tickets. I hated to spend the $500+ on a radar but after lots of research Escort seemed to be the best in the business. This model has built automatic updates including Red light camera notifications, which proved to be very accurate & helpful on my road trip from New Orleans to Dallas & back. The less expensive models have this as an option, and the models under $300 do not even offer it as an option. If I'm spending the money I want the help all the way around, I will spend the extra $200 for the red light camera warning. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

This radar detector is all you need and then some! Excellent purchase. The Max2 has a few more bells and whistles and the redline slightly more range, but the 9500ix is a leader in detection. You can't go wrong with this one. Remember to get the extended warrenty though as it makes a great deal, awesome!
