I've been wanting this radar forever but could foot the price tag. Then it went on sale for under $350 and I finally got one. So many features and never skips a beat. Paid for itself the first day!

This provides plenty of advance warning and the GPS function allowed me to "mark" where the troopers hide to remind me to be on the lookout for them at those locations. It has paid for itself many times.

The Unit works good, but I believe that I bought a Return Unit. But it's okay, I keep it.

The price maybe a little too high but it is highly recommended. It is so accurate and has a really big range. It also learns from the fake ones and it is almost 90% true in my opinion.

This detector is wonderful. It's saved me from several tickets. Prior to owning it, I got impounded for speeding in the Diablo. Although it doesn't give you much time to react at speeds over 150, under that it has plenty of range to let you react and adjust accordingly. You get used to the different beeps signifying the different bands of radar. It also learns false signals beautifully. Laser detection will always be too late to respond but that's where you need to remain situationally aware while using this.

I actually bought this radar detector once before , used it for a weekend trip across two states then brought it back because I wanted a better one. As it turns out this one actually worked great. Once I got back home I took it back for a full refund. I then called around to find the one I really wanted. The one I was wanting isn't available in any stores and couldn't be bought online even though its shown on the website (go figure). There is another one however, that I wish I could purchase but I'm not ready to fork over 600.00 for an occasional use item. It does have some really nice features like showing you the direction of the alert, filters out false readings and a slew of other awesome features. For now I'm happy with this one, a few false readings but hey they just serve to keep you honest. 10 miles over is fast enough.

Replaces my old 8500 which is years old and not reliable. This unit performs quite flawlessly and was half the price of newer models on sale today. A very good value.

This is an excellent item. It is easy to use. Long range detection.ability to store detected radar traps.

Simply a terrific unit. Should reduce my "stars" due to the unit not auto adjusting the screens brightness. But the other 2 cars I have this unit in do the same thing. Simply a matter of where I've placed it I'm sure.

This thing is blowing my mind. Well worth the money. This is providing a lot more then expected and i tested it with a cop radar and works great! Best product!

Had been using a different radar detector but with my new car, I went with this one as a few of my friends were using it and recommended it. All I can say is that I haven't been disappointed yet. Good range, easy to manage.

This escort is by far the best! (I've had half a dozen in 20 years.) I've had this particular radar for two years and bought this one for a friend. I love that it can be updated for a small fee. Well worth it.

Overall a very good detector. It has very usable features and the smart cord is great for muting the detector if it's in a convenient location compared to when the detector is mounted. There have been a few instances when I've visibly seen a trooper shooting radar and it was not detected. Must be a new type of radar gun?.?. Nice product overall

Did a lot of reviews from here and amazon. Even reviews from youtube and radar detector enthusiasts. This is the best radar detector for the $! Used it a couple of times going from El past TX to Houston and LA california. Detection is great when your on the highway. Does go off a few times for what i think are other radar detectors making an interference. But it displays the strength of the radar being detected, and you'll adjust to it. Love that I hit triple digits in my BMW traveling and this passport has saved me multiple times from being pulled over.

Hey, everyone. I purchased this Radar Detector after a lengthy conversation with one of my local Best Buy employees the day after I received a Speeding Ticket on the New York State Thruway. I had been coming up over a hill, in the fast lane, right before a Toll Booth. There was a tractor trailer to my immediate right, and someone riding my bumper behind me. I accelerated to get him off my bumper, and at the top of the hill was a New York State Trooper who hit my with Laser and caught me speeding. After purchasing this Radar Detector, I immediately installed it in my car while out in the parking lot. The instructions were very clear on how to install, set up and customize the product to how I wanted it. At no point did I find myself confused or having to look things up on Google. The suction cups provided work very well so far; I haven't had any problems with them losing suction and falling down, and I have my unit mounted directly underneath my rear-view mirror. With all of my settings customized to how I want them, I have no problem figuring out where the cops are. I've yet to have any kind of false-positives where the unit seems to go off for no apparent reason; every time it sounds, there's either a cop using radar or laser, someone near me with blind-spot detection in their car, or a business of some kind. A lot of cars today have "Blind Spot Detection," which actually uses radar, so it WILL set off your Radar Detector. The band is usually always "K Band." Many businesses that have automatic doors or certain alarm systems will also set off a Radar Detector with either "K Band" or "X Band." There are some Cops that use "K Band" Radar Systems, but most are always "Ka Band," and "Ka Band" will ALWAYS be a cop. All in all, I love this product. I don't speed very often; I do 5 MPH over in most areas like most people do, and on the Thruway I usually do 10 MPH over, but most people do as well. It's just really nice to have early warning in case I do accidentally end up going too far over the limit so I don't get a ticket. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to know where the cops are hiding.

Best thing I've ever boughten!! Haven't gotten a speeding ticket since I've bought it, and it works better than I ever thought radar detector could! Just buy it, money's worth it in the tickets you save. Basically pays for itself unlimited times over.

This detector is fantastic... It has adjusted to false alarms on my regular drive and is very accurate for a great distance. Terrific buy!
