I have not had a radar detector in several years, so I didn't know what expectations I should have after reading the reviews. The first trip I took with the radar detector mounted on my windshield it picked up a KA band from approximately 2 miles away from the police car. I had about given up and assumed it was a fake reading. I just finished a trip through Kansas City, and it picked up several radars long before I spotted them. Great product. Highly recommend if you are a speed demon or just like to drive a bit aggressive.

THIS RADAR IS VERY ACCURATE. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET IT. YES IT IS A BIT PRICEY, BUT WORTH IT. IT HAS SAVED ME QUITE A FEW TIMES ALREADY.

I drive 1,500-2,000 highway miles a week and this thing has paid for itself at least 3 times already. I don't use the smart cord that Bluetooth's the unit to your phone, but camera database is incredibly accurate. It will typically pick up radar on the highway 2 minutes before I see the source at 80-85mph, even in hilly areas. Does a great job of filtering automatic doors and other noise sources. You still need to keep your eyes peeled in case of laser or motion activated radar, but I won't travel without it now. Great asset to those of us spending countless hours behind the wheel.

Still the top choice. Even with a few things I would change I would not have bought a different radar detector. The GPS functionality in this allows cancellation of redundant false alarms and that is great to have.

Amazing range. Super sensitive. The ability to lock out false alerts is great too!

This detector works well. I live were there are winding mountain roads and I can catch the laws radar around wooded corners with plenty of time before they can even see me. Out in the open, you have about 1-1.5 seconds to slow down. I Catch radar spraying a mile or so down the Highways usually. Works very well like all escort detectors. I don't drive enough to use all the features that come with it.

I travel 15000 miles a year , and have had a radar detector always , and this is far and away the best most accurate detector I have ever used . This will be my 8th detector I have owned , and wouldn't trade it for anything out there

I bought this for a 6 hour road trip, did it in 5 hours. On my way back home, I seen around 8 law enforcement officers and my radar went off way before I could see anything. It gets the job done and i'm considering buying another one for my other vehicle. Over all, I love it.

The Max works great. Not many false positives and it learns the routes as you go. It is very expensive compared to Valentine One and reviews show that V1 is still a better choice. The bitter taste comes from greedy subscription price for live data. Aaannd accessories are really expensive. I don't know if i'd buy it again.

Awesome unit 360 coverage. Works well with iPhone app. I wish it was smaller. A bit oversized for my liking. Other than that 5stars

this machine is simple and seems to be very accurate well in advance and it picks up locations that constantly have some sort of radar pick up that may not be radar and saves the location

Even with using the AutoNox feature, it will still give false signals in the city. But I am definitely happy with the product since it has already saved me from one ticket, and I am sure it will save me from many more.

I drive a whole lot of miles every year and have had a radar detector for 10+ years. I upgraded from the 9500i which was already a very nice detector. But, after reading about the MAX I felt it was a good time for an upgrade and give the wife the 9500. The MAX not only has the tried and true Passport sensitivity, which is even more sensitive than the 9500, but it has many new features that make it all around leader in detector technology. I have also purchased the SmartCord Live cord to get the most out of the MAX and it has really been an amazing driving tool. Threats are noted in real time and are auto-updated to other users within the Escort app. Separate of all that if you are willing to pay the big bucks for a radar detector this is easily the one to get.

This is a great radar. Having used escorts in the past, I decided to try this new one out. The screen is sharp but not necessarily needed. It has nice long range. Warning me well before I actually see the cop car.

So far, this detector has saved me 3 tickets that I would've gotten without this detector. I don't generally speed, but on long road-trips, I push the limit.
