But so far this is a very good product. I decided on this one because of the app that you can download and use with the detector. It also updates the detector. We have taken several long distance trips (over 1000 miles). We have done speeds up to 100mph and this thing has always been right on point.

The app that comes with it, records your detections and everyone else who is connected to the app. So it gives a warning when you are approaching an area where a radar was detected in the last few minutes. Great addition to the detector that is awesome by itself.

I haven't really had any false alarms like on my older cobra unit. It picks up radar from state police, and parish police far enough away for you to slow down.

I LOVE the customization options. My only quirk- I can't decrease the volume enough. LOW is still LOUD !! I guess that is good because you can hear it over music, phone, kids, etc. But what if a baby is sleeping on the way to Grandma's?
