NOW… make it do stairs! Only one thing it can't do

Finally… a robotic vacuum that cleans effectively enough to stay in my home. One that isn't just a surface duster or dirt spreader like the vacuums used previously. The Eufy X8 Pro w/ Self-Empty Station is the best robotic vacuum I've tested in the last eight years. Five different robot vacuums later, I thought it wouldn't be a viable way to vacuum, and my Dyson and I would still do work. NOW, every morning, it is like a cleaning service came overnight! The X8 Pro's suction, AI performance, and efficiency are mind-blowing and unmatched for this price. I now spend less time vacuuming because it VACUUMS and doesn't get stuck! No need to watch stairs; it sees them! I do stairs and touch up corners where I block it from going. My carpets are always clean and refreshed, with carpet lines in a logical pattern I would leave behind. The AI running the vacuum, combined with the LIDAR and IR sensor arrays, makes this perform like no other robot vacuum on the market. It does not just haphazardly bounce all over the room like some vacuums I've tested. It, quite frankly, would vacuum like a human that could not move furniture. All three levels of vacuum suction perform well, but the max setting could be loud if people are sleeping nearby—otherwise, low and medium work well while you sleep.
Setup
The setup is intuitive and straightforward. Everything arrives tightly packaged, protected, and delivered quickly to my door. Unpack it to reveal the Base Station, X8 Pro, plastic pad, and power cable. Next, find a flat, hard surface near an outlet to place your plastic mat and base station. Once the base station is plugged in, please turn on the vacuum and align it to charge. Download the Eufy Clean app and create an account (if necessary). Follow the app prompts to add it to your account and TRULY unlock the full potential. Link your favorite voice assistant for automation, schedules, and voice commands making life SUPER SIMPLE in the chore department. You can use its simple three-button functionality to send it home, spot clean, and power down, but the BEAST is unleashed in the Eufy Clean app!
Once setup is complete, let it map by scanning your home to build a floor plan. It will go around the perimeter of your walls, flinging LIDAR beams to create a blueprint. In the app, you can watch it draw and follow the paths it took to get there. Be sure to clear loose objects from the floor to ensure perfect mapping. After the scan, place virtual boundaries and no-go zones to lock down your requests further. Eufy Clean offers options for setting schedules customized for cleaning by room, zone, or the whole floor. You are in control of how much cleaning is done and when. You can also mop and vacuum with different settings. Vacuum first, then clean - now my floor washer is getting nervous. From start to finish, I was up and running about 35 minutes after account linking, updates, and setup was done. I don't see many hiccups in the setup process
and this passes with flying colors.
Mopping
It functions very well as a mop and is similar to using a Swiffer Wet mop. You are essentially getting a single pad wet and cleaning the floor. It does not vacuum the floors dry, so you have to wait for the floor to air dry. The X8 Pro will release the right amount of water into the pad based on your settings, and when you finish, you can wash the pad and use it again. I like how my kitchen floors are vacuumed first, then wet mop all in one cleaning. This vacuum helps around the house, and vacuuming is almost wholly checked off the chore list.
Performance and Observations
The X8 Pro is punching above its weight class in performance and effectiveness. However, the base feels light and slides around if not set correctly against a wall or immovable object. I have thick carpets with thick padding. I say it isn't a good choice without using a wedge to compensate and lean it forward. After trying to place the base on the carpet, the vacuum often had issues aligning in the dock to charge and empty when finishing. On hard floors where the rubber feet can grip, it will give the best experience. Another thing I found when relocating the base is to remap it, or it will return to the previous location docked in the room. Self-empty works well with the vacuum bag located inside the base station. It clears the X8 Pro entirely and ensures it is always ready for the job. The onboard vacuum speaker helps provide voice prompts that I find helpful when I don't have my phone. For example, it announces when it is charging or heading home and brags about detangling the roller. PASSES WITH FLYING COLORS, it does an EXCELLENT job of keeping my wife's hair out! The air filter is catching drywall dust from previous vacuum sessions, which is a testament to the impressive suction.
Maintenance and Upkeep
The app offers gauges and bar indicators with remaining life for components in the vacuum, like the roller, brushes, and vacuum bag. **TIP** I recommend a weekly inspection of the air filter inside the dustbin. It is good at catching dust particles; they don't come out of the filter screen! This means you must keep filters on hand to ensure suction remains optimal over time, and they are not washable! I use another vacuum to clean the filter, which does a great job of clearing it. I also recommend removing the roller if you have carpet because fibers will build up at the base of the roller, and you may want to pull it out. It will tell you when it is time to replace components in the app using indicator gauges for maintenance. It easily vacuums cereal, dirt, grass, and other things and even picks up hair without getting tangled on the roller. I am shocked by how well this performs going between carpet and floors with Boost IQ by reducing suction like more expensive handheld vacuums.
Final Thoughts
This vacuum I will highly recommend for its power, ease of use, effectiveness, and features ESPECIALLY for the price. You will be hard-pressed to find another vacuum in this price range with the features this has. This should be your first look before look at the others SIMPLY because of the suction alone. Hands down, this is the best and I highly recommend!

We are not new to the robotic vacuum world, but it has been amazing to see the progression. This guy here is definitely at the top of the list in terms of functionality, ease of use, and technology.
The self emptying bin is a huge time saver as our dog sheds and the bin fills up pretty quickly. It requires emptying twice in a normal run downstairs and 3-5 times upstairs. Not having to find it, empty the bin, and then restart means we can run it while we're at work and not worry about coming home to a half vacuumed house. The emptying is quiet too, which is not something I expected, but I've yet to see it get caught on anything and not empty completely.
The app is easy to use and useful. We have 3 levels on the main floor (just a few stairs between each level) and the app allows you to identify and map out individual rooms and label them. Nice, but expected in my opinion. However, it does a an auto location process at the beginning (she'll say "Positioning" which threw me off at first) and then recognize the room once it's been mapped. I am thoroughly impressed by this as it means the smart pathing can be utilized without manually telling the app which room the vacuum is in every time. You can do everything you'd expect to do with the app otherwise: schedule cleanings, get status of the vacuum, manually start or send it home, etc.
The mapping feature is excellent and intelligent. You can watch it on the app as it follows the map as well as view the historical data. No more randomly bouncing around until it tries to hit every spot. It takes the map and does a systematic sweep in as efficient pattern as it can discern. Cuts down the amount of time it needs and ensures you have those nice vacuum lines instead of the sporadic randomness.
The vacuuming itself is very good as well. You can control the amount of suction (up to 3 levels) and the amount of water while in mop mode. We run them both at max generally and have had great results from it. Likewise, when it hits cords or curtains, it is smart enough to quick trying to vacuum and reversing itself to minimize tangling/dragging cords around. It will still grab a stray charging cable that is hanging down too low, but most of the time it keeps itself out of trouble and the detangling works as designed.
The mop function is more of a dust mop function even though it uses water. It'll do a decent job on hardwood floors of cleaning and mopping, but is by no means a substitute for true mopping. It might buy you a little time between, but definitely does lend itself to the shine or heavy duty scrubbing clean.
The bin is relatively small and I've run it every other day for nearly two weeks without changing the bag so it has more capacity than it looks. We have it tucked between a library table and a hutch and you wouldn't really know it was there unless you were looking or it started talking/vacuuming.
A couple knocks on it. It has a circular sensor on top that extends above the body of the vacuum which means it can't fit under some furniture. Our dining room table is just barely too low for it to fit under because of this thing. I don't get the point of it extending like it does though I do understand it's design. Probably asking too much, but if it could pop up and down when it feels or sensing something it would certainly be able to reach a lot more locations.
It backs into the base (charging station/emptying bin). That means it has to find the base, then back up, rotate 180 degrees, and then back into position. Not a huge deal because it does it automatically it just looks weird. However, when it is dead (like when we run it in another room without the base) and you have to manually put it on it is very awkward and can take shuffling to get it aligned properly. I know twice now we've put it on thinking it was charging when it wasn't. It will tell you it's charging when it's aligned, but not until there's enough power in it to turn itself on which is how we missed it.
Otherwise, I am very impressed with the quality of the cleaning, the depth of technology, and the ease of use of this vacuum/mop combo. I could certainly justify having one on every level and cut out a lot of the manual vacuuming even with an older, heavy shedding dog.

The eufy X8 Pro Robot Vacuum takes around 53 minutes to clean my living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and hallway all adding up to 430 sq ft. As a rule of thumb, the more often you run the vacuum, the less debris there is to clean up each time. Overall, this robot vacuum does a good job of cleaning debris, mapping your house, and letting you set schedules and zones in the app which I think is pretty easy to navigate. While the robot works well for its main vacuuming job, the point of a more automated system is to maximize convenience. Admittedly, I don’t favor the docking station’s dust bag system because of its disposable nature. Having used different robot vacuums, I know some docking stations have a removable receptacle that is easier to dump out, however the X8 Pro uses dust bags that are meant to be replaced every 45-60 days.
The eufy Clean app is convenient and intuitive enough for me to use all the features like accessing the home map, scheduling, and performing all the robots actions. Once my home map was ready, I designated restricted areas and no-mop areas because I personally don’t want the robot to go into my bathrooms or two offices and I don’t want it to mop my area rugs. The app lets you run a “brush cleaning” mode that’s supposed to help detangle hairs that get caught in the brush. It doesn’t work perfectly and if there’s too much hair, it may not work at all. I’m used to needing to cut the hair out of my vacuum brushes anyway.
Here are a couple of tips after my experience this week:
- Before running the robovac, pick up any loose items off the ground like socks and charging cables.
- When connecting the robot to my home Wi-Fi, I had to refresh the networks list a few times to get mine to show up.
To get an idea of how I’m using the eufy X8 Pro, my household consists of two adults and one dog. There’s plenty of long hair, short fur, and dog toy stuffing all over the floor for the robot to pick up. The very first clean caused a clog during the self-empty run. This is because the robot was cleaning hard to reach areas that had accumulated a lot of dust bunnies. In tending to the robot’s dust bin (not the bag in the dock), I noticed that my dog hair gets stuck in the filter easily, but I’m able to pull most of it out by hand if needed. The mop feature is okay, but unless you’re using an approved cleaning fluid, it’s just doing a pass of water all over the floors. I probably won’t use the mop feature moving forward because I don’t want to deal with the water tank or mop attachment but it’s there if I want it.

I have been using/testing the X8 Pro for a week and am equally happy and disappointed for a few reasons. First, I will say it has been a few years since I have used a robotic vacuum and things have improved drastically since. For starters, the room mapping is excellent. After running an initial setup, I was able to differentiate all the rooms (1st and 2nd floor) and even specify if I want a particular room vacuumed, mopped, or both. The suction has also improved greatly in recent years, and it feels like it really digs into the carpet to get all the dust/debris. After the current clean is complete, the X8 will return to it’s home base to automatically empty the bin and occasionally detangle the brush. The auto-empty can be adjusted if you prefer to empty after every 1, 2 or 3 cleans or at set times of every 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The auto-detangling can be manually run anytime you see fit by selecting it in the app.
Onto some disappointments that you wouldn’t expect with a top tier robotic vacuum…speaking of detangling, it doesn’t work as well as advertised. It seemed to only loosen hair a bit, but it didn’t really help to detangle or remove it (see photos). I end up manually taking out the brush and removing hair after every run-through even when I run the auto-detangle twice.
As mentioned, the vacuum/suction is excellent, but the mopping mode has its flaws. The mop pad is stationary, so it basically just coasts over the hard floor leaving a wet streak. I am not sure how much pressure is being applied to the floor to actually clean. I would have preferred the motorized round spinning mops that some other brands feature. Also, it seems the mop pad is only using its middle section to clean. There are about 3 inches on both sides of the pad that don’t do much because those sections are a lot thinner than the middle portion. When mopping the outer border of the room, it misses 3-4 inches from the wall that remain dry (see phots).
Overall, I will continue to use the X8 because of the convenience of features versus any complaints I may have.

From opening the box to operating the first cleaning session, everything was easy and simple. The box does not come with unnecessary packaging and the app syncing set up is fast. I already have an eufy security system and I am happy I was able use the same account without a problem.
I live in a 1250sqft apartment, and I was pleasantly surprised by the suction power of the twin-turbine. For seeing the results, I have run multiple auto cleans sessions, and then use my handheld vacuum to see how good of a job the eufy Clean X8 Pro did, and so far the handheld vacuum rarely picks up any more dust, hair or missed trash. Very happy so far. It used to take me about 20 minutes to my handheld vacuum to do all my house and this X8 Pro does it in about 30 minutes.
My dogs hair is long and I have found that the vacuum does a good job in both the carpet and hardwood floor. I really like the feature in the app that allows you to run an auto clean or select a room or multiple rooms in the map you want to clean. This is great and a new feature for me which I am enjoying a lot.
The self-empty station that comes with it also works great. Once it’s done cleaning it goes to the station and makes the deposit. The suction power and sound is loud but it does not go on for long. It’s quick and does a decent job of getting everything from the vacuum. My only complaint here is that they designed the bags to not be reusable, but I will probably try and reuse mine as much as I can because I don’t want to pay a fee each time it gets full.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied and would recommend this to family and friends!

One measure of quality is how well the manufacturer packs its technology. On this score Eufy gets an A+. The outer shipping box exactly fits the inner box, holding it safely during transit. The inner box contains shock-absorbing materials and the vacuum itself is carefully covered with protective plastic on all important surfaces.
When you remove the X8 Pro from the box you will be impressed by its finish quality. It looks like the sophisticated high-tech device that it is, but it also looks very solid. The main driving wheels have a pair of deep lug patterns and are about 5/8” wide so it gets excellent traction. The color is a deep charcoal grey. There are just three buttons on top, but they are sufficient to access key functions.
In the box are the robot vacuum, the self-empty station/power dock, the mop attachment, a roller cleaning tool, a waterproof clear plastic pad and a quick set-up guide.
Setting up the X8 Pro is simple. Position the self-empty station/power dock against a wall and plug it in. It is about 15 inches tall and, with the robot attached for charging, it requires about 18 inches of depth from the wall. The included clear plastic mat may be placed under the unit to protect your floor from any drips from the mop pad if using that feature.
Download the Eufy Clean app and register as a user. Then connect the X8 Pro to your 2.4 GHz wireless router. I found that it maintained good connection with my wireless network throughout my 2,400 square foot home.
You can start the vacuum with the app, using the onboard buttons or through Alexa or Google Assistant. When started, the robot smoothly pulls away from the charging dock then begins its search and destroy mission against the dirt on your floors. First it maps your home, determines where any obstacles reside and computes an optimal path. The mapping process is very sophisticated. It uses an artificial intelligence system (AI.Map 2.0) and a LiDAR sensor (Precise iPath Laser) to determine the physical characteristics of your rooms, including any furniture in place. You can watch this process on the app and it is really interesting to see it discover the shape of rooms and then navigate around them. Once it has finished mapping it divides the entire area into cleaning segments.
The X8 Pro is about 3.2” tall and a slightly over 13.1” wide so it will easily travel under most furniture and between chair legs. It is amazingly quiet (about the same noise level as an electric razor) and makes a low purring noise as it travels around the room.
But does it work? Yes – very well! I have a mixture of hardwood floors, granite floors and some area rugs. There are thresholds between several of the rooms because some of the floors are at slightly different heights. The Eufy X8 Pro effortlessly rode through the apartment, climbed over the thresholds and diligently vacuumed every available open space. The robot begins the vacuuming process by driving around the perimeter of each defined area, then methodically going back and forth within each area. If there are any obstacles (such as chair legs) it will go around each one, getting as close as possible to ensure thorough cleaning. The cleaning process relies upon two elements: the extraordinary suction power of the twin turbo-cyclone design (each providing 4,000 PA) over the rotating vacuum brush and the tri-armed sweep brush which directs dirt into the vacuum chamber. The sweep brush is really effective at cleaning along the wall and under cabinet overhangs. Don’t worry about large items in the path of the vacuum - it even picks up all of the dry leaves which fall off my ficus tree plants, which often clog a standard vacuum.
The vacuuming takes about one minute per ten square feet and the battery lasts for about 120 minutes of cleaning. When the battery charge drops under 10% the robot announces that it is heading for home to recharge and it makes a direct route back to the self-empty/charging station.
If at any time you want to end the cleaning, just hit the “Home” button and the X8 will immediately find its way back to the charging dock.
And, yes, it is super fun to watch it run around your home!
A nice feature is that you can set the device to automatically empty after each cleaning or have the emptying process activated manually (through the app or by pushing buttons on the robot). This allows you to manually empty the dust bin if you want to extend the life of the bag in the station. The dust bin and its HEPA filter lift out of the robot for easy cleaning. Just dump it into your waste basket and give it a quick rinse (allow to dry for 24 hours afterward) and you are done.
If you choose to use the self-empty function you will find that it is very efficient. The included high quality anti-bacterial, deodorizing HEPA-filtered bag is 2.5 liters (compared to the 0.335 liter capacity of the internal dust bin). Eufy says that it will last about 45 days of normal use. Once you register the vacuum Eufy will send you two more bags for free.
I thought my apartment was pretty clean at the start, but after each of the first few vacuum cycles I checked the internal dust collection bin and was surprised to see that it was full. Every time I started the robot vacuum it found more dirt, dust, hair than I would have thought possible. The fact that the X8 goes under couches, beds, dressers, tables and chairs probably accounts for the impressive amount of dirt it collects.
Maintenance of the vacuum is also easy. The roller brush has an auto-detangling comb which will remove most hair caught onto it. But the roller brush also removes easily and it was no trouble to clean off any remaining trapped hair using the included tool or by hand. Eufy is aware that parts have limited life so they offer replacement parts at reasonable prices, including a battery ($50), a dust bin ($24) and a comprehensive parts kit with two tri-arm sweep brushes, four HEPA filters, a roller brush and a brush guard ($35).
The Eufy Clean app is really great. You can use it to alter the suction power to one of four levels or set it to automatic (BoostIQ) which will vary the suction power depending upon surface conditions. You can also select other modes such as “Spot cleaning” which intensively vacuums a 25 square foot area.
In addition, you can schedule cleaning at programmed times, redefine the maps, clean just a specific room, or a combination of rooms. You can set “Do not go” areas in the maps to fence off sections from the vacuum. If you have multiple floors in your home the robot will store maps of each floor.
In the app is the vacuum’s cleaning history, the battery charge status and an estimate of the remaining life of the brushes and filter. You can even change the voice and language used by the robot.
Because the X8 is connected to your WiFi network you can activate it even when you are not home thru the app. You can watch the robot’s progress on your phone. Much more entertaining than some lame TikTok videos! (See photo of a cleaning map.)
I was really interested in the damp mop function on my uncarpeted floors. Just put water (or a floor cleaning solution) into the 270 ml tank, attach the included cleaning/mopping unit onto the bottom of the X8, then just start a cleaning cycle in the room you want to mop and it will do a pretty good job of cleaning that floor. This feature alone is enough to set this device above its competitors.
The Eufy website has many informative videos which explain every aspect of the X8 capabilities.
This is an absolutely superior device and I enthusiatically recommend it with a full five stars for its many features, high quality and terrific performance.

I really enjoy using eufy products and the X8 Pro Robotic Vacuum is no different. However, I had hoped that the roller brush would be better at self cleaning as it relates to hair--which was one of the features that helped my decision to purchase this style of the vacuum. It does a great job at mapping my house, completes each level of my house quickly and fairly quietly, it vacuums well and I appreciate the notifications that are enabled into this system as well. The battery appears to last long enough to clean one level of my house at a time and self empties when needed independently. I have not tried the mopping feature yet, but wish that eufy had a self emptying feature for both the mopping and vacuuming features in one unit as I would have opted to purchase that product instead. While the item is a little pricy, I was able to purchase for a discounted price during a Black Friday sale! Nonetheless, I absolutely love the item and wish that I had purchased sooner.

I have multiple robot cleaners from different makers and I must say this is the easiest one to setup out of the box. The build quality is very durable, it does not feel cheaply built...it appears to be made to last. The footprint it takes up is minimal and the cable length is adequate for placement.
SETUP
The setup is very simple, download the software, scan for devices, add and connect to network. I updated the software and performed a mapping session and then it was time to edit the map/rooms and begin cleaning.
APP
The app is very easy to navigate and it allows for merging rooms or editing them into smaller sections. I did wish it allowed you to clean certain rooms but it appears as if once engaged the whole map needs to be cleaned.
CLEANING
I took a look at the area near the edges of the baseboards and corners in order to evaluate how thorough a cleaning is performed. I have to say it did a very nice job getting to the corners and edges. It cleaned very well and I have maintained a clean floor utilizing the scheduled cleanings. I genuinely recommend it for light to medium cleaning performed on a regular schedule.

Great Technology, But a Learning Curve to Use

The Eufy - X8 Pro Robotic vacuum with self-empty station, in black, is a great concept that mostly executes its mission to vacuum and mop, hard floors, with low sound that does not irritate my dog. In fact, he lies like a rug as the round, mobile cleaner is running around him, either cleaning and mapping as it goes by, or certainly around and around his vicinity. The self-empty tank is great, and it is amazing how the cleaning unit can find home base and park itself to either re-charge or come home after completing its assignment.
This unit, in its entirety with the dock and unit, is fairly low-profile and can easily fit in that area that is accessible to the electric outlet and still be among the user's decorations, as well as, out of the way and not an obvious sore thumb. That is very important to me because I have a highly decorated home, but still this unit needs to be in a centrally located area and easily accessible, period and done.
So, how was the set up? That part went fine, easily connected to Wi-Fi, figured out from the plastic mat beneath the docking station to the buttons on top of the moving unit, and the installation of the smartphone app from the Google Play store since I have an android phone. I easily connected the unit to my phone's new app and then I ran into a little problem. There are 3 modes on the app in which to use for your job-room, auto, and zone. I have a large, 2 story home with an "L" shaped stairway that has at least 15 steps. Therefore, in my case, I would either need 2 separate units or use the same one and carry up and down to do the different floors.
I now have all hardwood floors except in a small area off the master bedroom. So in my case I would like to not only vacuum but mop. You need to initially let it go, possibly several tries to get a good mapping and that is where I am having trouble. I have about 2000 sq ft on the upper level and It took over 60 minutes, staying charged above 20%, before the unit had to return to the docking station for re-charge. After it did that, it did launch on its own again to finish the job, but I need guidance on this mapping process since I am not sure of the individual rooms on my upstairs map. I found myself following the unit to see how it made its way around the upstairs. If you do what I did, you will need to hang out for the whole mapping process, at least for the first few times.
I do like that it sweeps up dust and debris not only among the open and obvious surfaces, but it uses its rotating brush wheel to sweep next to the base boards the dirt into its collection bin. I literally followed it, not getting in its way, to watch the whole process. No, it did not fall down the steps at the top of the stairs-it went to the edge and then retreated back to the hallway to keep cleaning and access the bedrooms off the common area. It went into and over hardwood thresholds from hardwood bedrooms to tiled bathrooms and properly cleaned it all. There is a separate piece you attach to the underside if you want to mop the hard floors. Additionally, in order to mop, there is a separate tank that comes out and a rubber-covered opening that you put just plain water in. The mop pad is washable and easily replaceable on the mopping attachment. I have hard tap water so I decided to use purified bottled water to fill the reservoir. However, my first time out I did have it only vacuum. The first time in the master bedroom, it did get stuck under my king bed, and I had to retrieve it. It might get stuck in certain situations until it learns your floorplan. Make sure to get things off the floor, doors between rooms open, cords out of the way, etc. Obviously, that is a given.
This unit has twin turbines for great suction power to do the vacuuming and the roller brush automatically detangles pet hair, thank goodness, because I currently have 4 dogs and some of them shed. The unit self-cleans out the debris when it backs up and connects to the docking station and there is a female voice that speaks when doing certain maneuvers. Eufy's robovacs have only a 1-year warranty, which at this price point is not long enough. I did call the toll-free number to have them send me the owner's manual and they also sent some YouTube videos on how to use the unit. Customer service is easily accessible, they are open M-F all day, and Saturday until 3:30 pm, PST. In fact, I will be calling again to get more help with the mapping feature.
I do think this self-vacuuming machine is very good and has a lot of great features. However, I think that there is a learning curve to learn the mapping features to really make it work the way it was meant to. Good thing that I can call Eufy's toll-free number and ask them questions as much as I need to. Oh, by the way, the mopping feature is not meant to go in areas that have carpeting, you can make those no zones with the mapping. However, if you need the robovac to seamlessly go from carpet to hard floors, there is a different model that can sense the carpet and elevate the mop piece all on its own.

Very impressive technology! It navigates around any obstacle and maneuvers over throw and area rugs without issue. It’s is very effective at keeping your floors clean with no needed interaction on my part. I love the room mapping feature. This is the future of cleaning! I have not tried out the wet mop features.

I have tried other robotic vacuums before and they have been just OK, however this product is awesome. This robot has very strong suction, and the best feature is that it automatically cleans our dog's hair from the roller brush. Glad I upgraded to the self empty station too, as it's nice to know this will clean for weeks on end without me having to constantly clean the vacuum unit. Highly satisfied and definitely recommend! I didn't realize that Eufy was owned by Anker - I have some of their chargers and they are great too!

This is our 5th robot vacuum. We have owned since 2014, Two Roomba's, one Shark and one Deebot (we deeply regret that last one). This one is by far the best robotic vac we have owned. We have had it about a month and have no issues or problems. We are amazed by its software and hardware. Eufy X8 Robovac is like when Apple introduced the iPhone 2007 to a world old flip phone users.
It navigate through the house with no problems and gives updates on unusual obstacles blocking its path. You can also see where the vacuum has been and watch its progress remotely. We also like how it will periodically return to the station to empty its dustbin to the base station then return to the point where it stopped vacuuming. We have yet to empty the base station but they say every 45 to 60 days which is great for us lazy people. For once my lovely spouse approved my upgrade especially from the Deebot. Why we buy the Eufy over the Roomba. The better reviews, extra capabilities and better performance that you get for a lower price is what we picked Eufy X8. Plus both Roomba and Narwhal Vacs with the same capabilities were almost 3 times what I paid for X8 vac on sale.
Now the only negative is when it emptying its dustbin into the base station, it sounds like a jet taking off. Nice thing is only lasts about a minute.. Overall I recommend it

I haven't had a robot vacuum in a long time so i am comparing to an old iRobot. This vacuum is awesome. It clean thoroughly with the mapping of the house and i love the self emptying. The app is really good. It vacuums along a pattern and does a good job overlapping and catching the entire area.

Fantastic vacuum, it has great suction and the mapping works flawlessly, just be careful if you have high tile carpet it will try to kill himself if near stairs

Works great, the app is good, but its object detection isn't perfect. It'll bump into the same thing repeatedly

I have a small apartment and with working full time wanted a robot vacuum to help keep it clean that didn’t break the bank. This little robot does the trick and performs better than the roomba I owned previously. Love the mapping feature and the auto empty.
