    I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. TL;DR - If Eufy isn't on your list of security products to consider purchasing, why not? High-quality cameras, software for your phone that works well, and unexpected features are just some of the reasons to consider Eufy's products. For the Outdoor Cam Pro, they hit one out of the park. It's super easy to set up, either with double-sided tape or a single screw and one thing to plug in. Video quality is great, it can stand up to a pounding Missouri rainstorm, and nighttime visuals work very well. The MicroSD card is easy to change out and the device comes with a name-brand 32GB MicroSD card, but supports up to a 128GB MicroSD card. The only negative is that this uses USB for power (Micro for the power cable to camera pigtail and standard A for the power cable to AC adapter) and the AC to USB adapter it comes with doesn't easily fit inside a covered outlet, but this is easily remedied with using a smaller AC to USB adapter; I would have preferred to see a barrel plug with a wire coming directly out of the AC adapter. Other than the one issue, I can definitely recommend this camera. ------------------------------------------------------------ Unboxing and initial setup: This comes well-packaged in a compact box. You'll find the Outdoor Cam Pro 2k, the magnetic mount, the well mount with a cable clip, two screws with retainers, a single piece of double-sided tape formed to match the wall mount with cable clip, a very long USB power cable, and a USB adapter. I chose to tape mine to the siding, but you can install this under the eaves, on a door frame, in an outdoor ceiling, or elsewhere as long as you have nearby (and constant) power within about 15 feet. Make sure that you run the power cable under the cable clip so it doesn't accidentally get pulled from the camera, and after you connect the power, that you wiggle the water-tight connection cover over the USB connection. It's also usable indoors and you can use a shorter USB cable for power if you want to to. Adding it to the Eufy app was easy, and the app guides you through this process. You'll undo a water-tight flap which contains the setup/reset button and a slot for the included SD card, which you'll want to go ahead and insert at this point. Once the SD card is installed, press and hold the button to enter setup mode. Enter a couple of things in the Eufy app, and the camera connects to your WiFi and displays video on your phone. This camera also streams to Chromecast-enabled TVs, Google Nest displays, and Alexa Show devices by way of asking Google Assistant or Alexa to display the camera on those devices. Another terrific feature this camera has, and one I was not able to test out unfortunately, is the ability to send video to RTSP-capable network video recorders. The app walks you through enabling this feature on the camera, and it's suggested that you make a static IP address for the camera if you decide to do this via DHCP address reservation in your router. The only real negative was the choice for USB power. The pigtail coming off of the camera uses Micro USB, and the AC to USB adapter uses standard USB. The AC to USB adapter was also a longer unit, meaning that the USB cable plugged into it wouldn't easily fit under a standard in-use outlet cover. I was able to remedy this myself by using an AC to USB adapter that came with a phone I had. Just remember the camera requires a power adapter putting out 5 volts at 1 amp. As stated earlier, I would have preferred to see a barrel plug and an AC adapter with the cord coming straight out of it as this would be a more robust design. ------------------------------------------------------------ Usage: After configuring, the camera just goes and goes on its own. You can configure it to alert you when it "sees" people, pets, and any other motion. Eufy's software is good at detecting both people and pets - it would catch my family as we came and went from the house over the weekend, it would let me know if my neighbors' cats were in my back yard or by my house, and it picked up on coyotes being in my back yard. It did not trigger alerts for squirrels, deer, a rabbit, and the hawk that decided to eat lunch on my back porch. The night vision of this camera is terrific, with a vast range before it loses focus on things in the back yard. I live on 4 a narrow 4 acres and I'm able to see past some large trees in my back yard at night, about 75 feet or so from the camera. It's even helped the sensitivity of another camera improve somewhat because of how bright the IR LEDs are. There's also a small spotlight on the camera with about the same brightness as your smartphone's flashlight LED, which is good for those moments your brighter motion lights aren't working but you want to see what's outside in color or let an uninvited guest know you're watching. The softer light is also good for when you're on your back porch at night and want something a little stronger than citronella torches but not blindingly bright. The app is what pulls everything together for this camera. It's thoughtfully laid out and easy to use, including saving clips to your phone of things that go past it. So for the reason you've read everything so far - how good is the camera? Well, in a word, terrific. It's a 2560x1440-capable sensor and the video it captures is crystal-clear. Colors look great and nighttime mode is perfectly clear. Audio is also recorded by this camera and it's some of the best I've heard from any outdoor camera or doorbell. ------------------------------------------------------------ Conclusion and final thoughts: The Eufy Outdoor Cam Pro is a terrific value proposition. 2k recording, excellent night vision, motion sensing that doesn't trigger on everything (unless you want it to), and a little built-in spotlight along with the RTSP recording feature that surprised me by being there make this a camera worth seriously considering. The USB power might be a turn-off for some, but you can work around it.

    I have a 400 mbps ethernet speed and the camera has problems connecting to my phone for live viewing or video review and when it does connect the images are very laggy, but camera dose catch every bug flying by, sometimes misses cars coming up my driveway or my wife and kids walking the dog, so I can’t recommend this cameras to anybody unless they were $9.99 or $14.99 maximum price they I can say you get what you paid for, on the other hand ring cameras, spot lights, door bell are the real deal on security cameras only bad thing paying $200 or $300 bucks for an item and ring still wants more of your money whit a monthly fee, I’m sorry I know last part have nothing to do whit eufy but still a little mad about the ring deal, I ended ip buying a Chinese door bell for a third of the price of ring and it’s build like a tank whit 128 gigs self storage that one I’m keeping, will do more updates if the cameras get a software update very soon before the return period is up.

    Like Eufy door bell cams, but this would not link

    I could not set this up easily like my eufy door bell cams. after 5 tries I call customer service, we tried everything he could think of, and no luck, had to return.

    Surprising bad!

    I am very surprised by the performance of this camera. It is extremely slow to respond. Viewing from landscape to portrait always crash the camera and have to relaunch. I constantly look for updates from Eufy and so far none of them have fixed the issue. The Eufy Cam 2C cameras are way faster and better than this one. Very disappointed but the good thing is I bought the BestBuy Geek Squad 4 year protection plan. So I will return this camera and exchange it for a 2.

    Not for Google Hub.

    Says it works with Google assistant. However, it is not listed on Google home as one that will stream with the Nest Hub. There is a significant delay once you get it running on the Nest Hub. Constantly connecting. Would not buy again. Got it for my older mother who can't use it.

    Opened the Eufy 2K Resolution and Built in Spotlight Outdoor security camera. The small box has everything one needs to get up and running. The kit contains the camera, power cable USB to MicroUSB, 32GB MicroSD card, mounting base, and even a power USB adapter to 110v. Not many items come with the power adapter anymore, so kudos to Eufy. This thing is nice and compact. As I said, the box is pretty small. I found a spot to mount the base (about the size of a silver dollar and about ¼ inch thick. It’s level on the bottom, but the surface is not so you can adjust the angle a bit with it as well as the magnetic connection with the cam. I inserted the MicroSD card and charged the cam. I use a 110v bulb adapter in my porchlight to keep the camera plugged in. The picture/video quality is great. The spotlight is very bright, but it can be adjusted through the Android app. The only thing I can complain about is the use of a MicroUSB port. Everything is going USBc and for us old people that have a tough time with small objects, MicroUSB can be a pain trying to see which way to put in the plug. Plus, with the weathertight end on this cable, it’s a really snug fit and one wants to make sure it’s in the proper direction. Other than that, it’s a nice compact security cam and I may change its location as I have a 4k wired system in place. This one may end up in the front window so it can’t be damaged, but still can capture movement in the front yard. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to see what goes on around their place when they are away or sleeping.

    Poor WiFi performance

    Flexible mounting options via the magnetic base and lengthy USB cable. The microSD slot and USB connection weather seals look decent but where the cable enters the camera housing is questionable. Maybe they use an internal gasket. WiFi performance is unstable at a distance of approximately 25 feet from my access point. This results in stuttering video streams and recordings. Initializing a stream takes forever and a day, too. Firmware features are lacking and behind compared to eufy’s Indoor 2K cameras.

      Could you please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the camera connect to your hotspot to see if it works? Steps:side menu>my devices>wifi connection>change wifi

      If yes, the issue should be related to your wifi settings. Please try the following steps to see if the issue will be resolved quickly.

      - Confirm if your wifi is encrypted by WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK
      - Reset the router
      - Stand nearby the Robovac and see if your phone is able to connect to the wifi properly
      - If possible, move the router closer to the camera and let us know the distance between the camera and router
      -Test in the following website to see whether it is because of the slow speed of the wifi.

      -Turn off the firewall to see whether the wired Cam can connect to WiFi. If so, please check your firewall setting to see if there are any special restrictions for the device. You can check the firewall setting on your router's official website.Please make sure these ports are allowed:

      -Remove the camera from the app and re-add it to see whether it helps.

    2K Cameras Crisp n Clean

    I was very impressed on the quality of image it produces. You can zoom in and out of a live camera feed which was really cool to do. I purchased 4 units in Black that blended well with my dark brown soffit. They were very easy to install and I have set boundaries and zones for all cameras. It is operating very smooth and I like how everything is stored on a chip with access through your phone. Great Job Eufy !!!

    After seeing so many great reviews on this camera I was hoping it would work as advertised. The camera connected to the app and wifi with ease but the issue was the motion sensor sensor it was very inconsistent. The range was not good at all not even from 10 feet. It was returned and my search continues.

    Very difficult to install through the app. The link provided in the instructions did not work, and when I reached out to customer service they were not helpful whatsoever. Ended up returning the product because the app to set it up wasn't working.

    This camera comes right on time as I have an outdoor storage area that I would like to keep secured with extra eyes. This is my first venture with a Eufy product. It reminds me of a product that I already have as it has similar features; however, this unit is suggested for outdoor usage. The unit reminds me of big floodlight that oversees a great bit of one's property. I am super elated that this security camera does not come with a subscription service. Normally, 32GB of storage would concern me, but I know that the recordings are erased after so many days. Anker manufactures great products and seemingly this one lives up to its name!

    I was very hesitant when ordering this because while I wanted an outdoor camera and light, I didn't want to have to recharge the battery every month or so like some. Hard wiring was important to me. Gotta say this was easier than I thought. Now I have a fully rugged weather resistant camera light combo that doesn't need monthly attention. The app I'm still learning but I will come back and review any new findings. So far the app is very much on par from what you'd expect from a camera surveillance app. Ease of install and monitoring is paramount and this doesn't disappoint.

    Knocks a big punch

    This little camera rocks! I absolutely love it. I bought it almost 4 years ago, and it’s never let me down. I’m happy they still sell this model because I’m buying more. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I originally bought it to see which of my dogs were pottying in the house. That was then, but now I’m using it inside my chicken coop. Cock-a-doodle-dooooo. I use it both on my iPhone and iPad to check in on them. The range of vision is great. It alerts me when there’s any activity, and sends the video to my device. The eufy app works great too. It can be as simple or as detailed as you want, depending upon how you want to use camera. The camera has sharp, clear images, even at night.

    Trash don't even waste your money. Hard to connect to charging wire, data is saved on a sd card so if a criminal is smart theyll just steal the camera.

    Very poor picture. I have several Eufy cameras but this one is definitely not the same quality as the others

      -Check the wifi signal and how other video devices work in your house?
      -If possible, could you please set the camera's video quality to highest to see if it helps? Steps in the App: Camera Settings>Video Quality>Recording Quality/Streaming Quality.
