||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great coverage, It has awesome range 360 degrees. The floodlights are bright at night. I have one note please if you have a dual band gateway. It will only on 2.4 you need to have your internet provider provide help with your gateway. Or you can utlize your own router for the equipment.

Another Eufy Winner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed the floodlight 3 days ago, it was as easy as it could be. I have an existing junction box so it was just plug and play. Once the light was installed I opened the app and added the light, that was it, all done and working. You do have to plug the light in using the included USB cable prior to installation to activate the light, but again this is easy. Once installed and working, I opened the app set up the camera, activity zones, motion detector and set all the settings to my preferences. Again this is easy, the app is very user friendly and and the UI is straightforward and simple to use. Once all set up I found the camera is very good, it easily detects motion and records and stores it. You can keep it local or set up cloud storage, the best part is there are no fees. The 180 lighting is very bright at around 3000 lumens and give excellent coverage. Overall I recommend this security light for anyone looking for an easy installation, low cost and good coverage.

Great camera and super bright floodlights
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is definitely in a class by itself. It is similar to professional security cameras in that you can view and record everything in the area where it is installed. It can detect motion and record 360 degrees if mounted on a ceiling. I mounted mine on the outside back of our house on the patio. You can turn on motion tracking in the app, which works well, and the camera will follow the motion and record it no matter where it is within the 360 degree field. The floodlights are super bright and illuminate everyone in front and beside the camera better than any I have seen. The only problem I found was with the weight of the unit when installing it. A hanger is supplied to assist in holding the unit during installation which is necessary if only one person is doing the work. Great product overall.

Great Camera/Floodlight Security Device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression: My first impression of the eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro is that it is a solid, well-built, security camera. It is heavy which initially concerned me. But when I saw the thickness of the mounts and the strength of the hinge, I knew it was a solid install. The packaging is good, and it comes with the camera/light, Quick Start Guide, charging cable, all physical and electrical mounting hardware, and a safety lanyard to use while installing. Installation: For installation I had a local electrician do it. He had it installed in about an hour, and I am covered should anything go wrong. Unless you are an electrician or good at this, I would recommend outsourcing the installation to a professional. Also, leave the protective film in place until the camera is installed and ready to use. Setup: Setup was very straight forward and needs to be done prior to installing and wiring the camera up. Start off by downloading and installing the eufy Security App. Next plug in the camera to the USB charger (you need to provide the charger; the camera comes with the USB cable). Open the app and follow the instructions and it connects the app to the camera via Bluetooth. You then connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network and your camera is set up. It really is that easy. While plugged into USB, you can test the camera but not the lights. The lights need 120 VAC to be turned on. App: Once installed, the camera and floodlight are controlled via the app. The app is very clean and easy to use. It is nice to see an app that controls multiple security appliances have such a clean, intuitive layout. It is also fast in that the delay from making a change to the camera responding is much quicker than my current security cameras. Performance: The video quality is very good. At 2K, you can really see details that other cameras at this price range lack. The panning and tilting respond quick and is very smooth. The audio at the camera is also very loud and very clear. My current camera system has audio that sounds tinny and sometimes difficult to understand. This eufy camera’s audio sounds more high-end commercial security, and that’s a good thing. Testing the camera/floodlight on my Wi-Fi network didn’t slow the camera or my network. I tested it on both a separate VLAN as well as my main VLAN, which includes standard internet usage, smart home devices, and Media Center streaming in all rooms. I noticed no decline in network performance, any increased congestion, or any slowdown from any devices. The location of the camera had a lower than optimum signal level, yet I still had solid performance and no network dropouts. The motion tracking works very well unless the subject is really small. Even then it’s better than most. You can view the entire area but set smaller zones for alerts/control. Lighting is extremely configurable and lights up the entire area. The audio/video recording time is 2 minutes. I really wanted longer record times, but that doesn’t seem possible. Maybe in a future firmware update? Even at 2 minutes, it is much longer than my current system by a long shot, so I cannot complain too much. The only thing missing that I really wanted to see was the ability to record continuously in case of an emergency. I know this isn’t possible in most wireless systems, but it would be nice. SD cards are getting larger and cheaper at the same time, so it seems like it could be added later if you have a larger card. Conclusion: I really like the eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro. It is a solid performer, has great video, great audio, and a clean and easy-to-navigate intuitive app. It is a great camera at its price. It lacked some things I would like to have seen, but I knew this going in and won’t penalize a system for not having something I knew it didn’t. If they could add longer record times, I believe the camera/floodlight combo would be at the top of the list of wireless security cameras. That said, I still believe it is an exceptional value for the system.

Slightly pricey, but worth every cent.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera/security light has everything. While the price may seem a little steep, it is every bit worth it as long as it proves durable. I have only had it installed for about a week, so can’t speak to the durability yet, but it does appear to be built very well. First thing I noticed is this thing is heavy. I was amazed at how heavy the unit is (hopefully a further indication of the durability). Also note that the unit is much heavier than most outdoor light fixtures, so you will want to make sure the junction box is securely mounted in order to support the camera, especially since it will generally be subject to weather conditions such as wind and snow. This unit is WIRED. It requires a properly mounted 110v wire supply junction box. There is no battery option as with most other Eufy cameras. To be as feature loaded as the unit is, setup is amazingly simple. Initial setup is done in the house with a provided USB cable that powers only the camera, and not the lights (note that a charger is not provided, just the cable). Once the cable is plugged in the indicator light glows red for a few seconds while the camera boots up. From here, the camera is configured using the Eufy app which connects to the camera initially via Bluetooth. Setup was very quick including adding the camera to our WiFi network. Once setup, you can play with the camera just to see what all of the settings/options do including the controls to pan and rotate the camera. However you’ll want to wait until it is actually installed to actually set the settings. Note that this is the suggested setup and definitely the easiest, however I don’t see any reason you couldn’t simply install it first and then setup the camera. Once it has wired power, it no longer needs the USB power. Actual installation is typical of any type of electrical fixture install and way easier then installing a ceiling fan. Briefly, you connect the three wires, ground, hot, and neutral, and then mount the camera to the box (the instructions provide installation on the ceiling or the wall, which are similar). Once installed, turn the power on and wait until the indicator light turns blue indicating it is connected to your WiFi. From here there is a seemingly endless number of settings options. You can adjust the lights for dusk to dawn or motion activated, the intensity can be changed from a range of soft white to bright white. The brightness can also be adjusted as can numerous other features including the motion ranges (yes plural, ranges). There are simply way to be settings to discuss in detail here. The camera/light are amazing once installed. Not only can the unit detect motion, but it can trigger the lights to turn on and the camera can lock onto a moving person and record them as they move around. I’m still playing with the settings since there are so many, but so far extremely pleased with this very sophisticated security combination of security lights and 360 camera. I would very highly recommend this to anyone looking for an ultimate outdoor security system, light, and camera.

Love this!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially received it a little late, and had to wait for my electrician to install it, but it was definitely worth the wait! I've been looking for a similar setup to where I can actually rotate the camera and zoom in and out of certain areas. The picture is phenomenal like the last Eufy floodlight camera. My reason for loving this product and others from this manufacturer, is the fact that you can record and save without a monthly subscription! That in itself is worth the price. I'm still trying to figure out a way to hook it up to Google home, but I'm sure I'll pick that up in due time. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone I know or don't know!

Floodlight an Camera combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The eufy - Smart Wi-Fi Floodlight Camera Pro 2k is a must have for every back yard. This system is hard wired into your electrical system. The camera must be installed with-in range of your Wi-Fi. The eufy camera comes with a USB cord to enable set-up before you install the camera. You must install the eufy security app for system set-up. Following the app/quick reference guide set-up went quickly. Once the installation of the electrical was finished and the camera installed, follow the rest of the installation guide. The app is easy to use, however remember there is a lag time between the app and the camera, and the camera to the app. The camera moves 360 degrees left to right and about 180 degrees front to back. The full 2k quality picture is exceptionally good on my android smart phone. The two-way conversation mode has clear audio both ways. I would recommend this system to family and friends.

Full security coverage from one camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The eufy - Smart Wi-Fi Floodlight Cam 2 Pro 2K - Wired with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa gives me the total surveillance that I require to keep my home safe from unwanted intrusions. Initiating the setup was completely user friendly with use of the eufy Security app. I signed up for a eufy Security account and after that just followed on-screen instructions. After adding my device, instructions for mounting and operation followed. The picture is clear and I can pan the video in a 360 degree circle. My voice sounds clear coming from the speaker, to ward off any trespassers. The system runs through the app. I consistently get phone notifications stating “EufySecurity Front Door: Someone has been spotted”. The eufy security system is a must for do it yourselfers that do not want to pay a subscription service for surveillance.

Great Floodlight Security Camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The latest Eufy Floodlight Cam Pro 2K is great improvement on the previous Eufy floodlight camera that I have installed over my garage. I installed the floodlight cam pro 2K under the eave of my house looking over the backyard. It is a solidly built product and wasn’t very difficult to install. The motion-activated floodlight is bright and the light reaches far into my backyard. The video quality is excellent and the pan and tilt camera with smart AI does a good job with tracking people movement. The camera integrates into the Eufy security app well along with my Eufy indoor camera and other Eufy floodlight camera. I like Eufy security camera products for their ability to record events without needing a hub and without having to subscribe to an additional service. Overall, this is a great product and would recommend it.

Light your way and see everything
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The eufy Floodlight Cam Pro brings new capabilities to the floodlight security camera segment. I already have 3 other eufy cameras in use, so I was excited to add a Floodlight Cam to the mix as well. I’m replacing a Swann floodlight camera that provided great light, but spotty coverage in the app. My hope is that the eufy Floodlight Cam will provide better performance for me. Let’s start with installation. Anker (maker of the eufy brand) clearly put a lot of thought into the process, and it shows. Included in the box is a small USB cable. The purpose for this cable is to temporarily provide power while you’re still in the house so that you can get the Wifi setup taken care of before you’re up on the ladder. That’s important, because this is no small unit (more on that in a bit). This step is nice, because you can get all the connection issues worked out while sitting comfortably at your kitchen table. Once connected, you’re ready for the app. As I mentioned, I already have an existing eufy system, so it’s important to be able to easily add more devices. I wasn’t disappointed, as Anker includes a QR code to scan that adds your new camera to your existing network. Again, another thoughtful inclusion that makes the process easy. Once you’re set up in the app, you’re ready to head outside. This is no small, lightweight unit. Because it features a 360 degree camera, it requires a much bulkier housing to accommodate the hardware. This has a big impact on where you can mount it, so you’ll want to pay attention to this part. My location is on the side wall of my house, about 20 feet off the ground. The eufy Floodlight Cam can be mounted vertically (like I did), or on the underside of the eaves of your roof. Anker thoughtfully included a strap with an integrated hook to help with installation. It turns out that this is a crucial inclusion, and without it, it would be incredibly difficult to install the floodlight. That’s because you would have to hold the floodlight in one hand while doing everything else (wiring, tightening screws, etc) with the other hand. Given the bulk and weight of the unit, this is pretty tough. The installation video makes it look simple, and it is, but as with many things your mileage may vary. In my case, the mounting bracket covered the small hole through which the wires protrude and through which I needed to push the wires back behind. That meant that the strap and hook couldn’t really help me because I had to leave the bracket off until just before I was ready to finalize the installation. To get around this, I had to drop a rope down from an attic window above to hold the unit while I took care of the wires. Hopefully your situation will be easier, but a smaller, lighter weight unit would have made things much easier. Once installed, you can start exploring all the options. The app provides tons of option. Here are some of the things you can control: • Brightness and color temperature of the floodlights • Resolution of the recorded video • AI tracking of motion subjects • Ability to have lights turn on at dusk and off at dawn • Full pan and tilt control of the camera (nice when you want to see what’s going on outside) • Motion-detection settings (human only, activity zones, range, sensitivity, etc) The app is very well-done and provides a lot of control. My biggest challenge has been finding the right settings for motion detection. Sometimes it will pick up a car going into a neighbor’s driveway, and other times it doesn’t pick up movement directly in front of the unit. This happens whether I use human-only or all-motion settings, and even if I set a limited activity zone. I will need to continue to tweak these settings, but so far it’s been difficult to get it working in way that doesn’t fill my card with false positives nor does it miss true motion. Recently, my eufy camera on my front porch seems to be missing motion right in front of it as well. Hopefully this isn’t a bad omen. eufy touts the ability to record 2K video. In my experience so far, the videos are a little choppy, so going back to HD video helps with this. That may be a problem for some, but I don’t really have a need for high resolution clips, and full HD clips take up less space anyway. Having the ability to move the camera to see everything is really nice, and the myriad of settings provides a level of control not available with other systems. At only $50 more than comparable floodlight cams, you get significantly more and better features. Now that I’ve been using it for a while, I’m torn about my opinion of it. I love the 360 degree camera, and the performance of the lighting itself is very good, with the flexibility to position the light panels in the way that works best for your situation. My struggles with the motion detection will hopefully be resolved as I continue to try different combinations of settings. The good thing there is that the app provides the flexibility to do so, and the eufy app is a strong reason to buy in to their ecosystem. Another reason is that my video clips are not stored in the cloud, and there are no monthly fees. That alone is reason enough to go with eufy as opposed to their competitors. So, while I might have chosen a 3.5 star rating if possible, I will round up to 4 stars for this review. Maybe as I continue to use it I’ll gain confidence in its abilities.

Eufy never fails
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m a big fan of Eufy products. I started with their Doorbell Camera a couple of years ago and have been adding their products since. Last year I purchased the Eufy Outdoor Wireless 1080p Security Floodlight Camera and it has been fantastic! When I saw an upgraded version with PTZ , brighter and more lights, and higher quality video recording…I had to jump on it. All the Eufy products are pretty straight forward with the install and setup. Since I was upgrading, their Floodlight cameras use the same mounting hardware so it was an easy upgrade for me. Keep in mind I’m not a very handy person, but even the initial install was pretty easy for my home setup. It allows you to mount from a ceiling or against a wall, in my case it was against the wall. Initial setup took 2-3 minutes with my phone, then once you mount it and hook everything up, its ready to go. From there I went through settings and fine tuned everything. In a nutshell, here are some things I really like about it: - Tracking: The beauty with PTZ cameras is you can choose to track humans or any objects, and it will follow it. - Previews for alerts show you a thumbnail picture of the persons face to help determine if you want to load the recording. - Easy Motion Detection setup: You can create the distance from each side (Front, Right, Left) of how far you want the motion to be alerted. In Test mode it will create a beep in those area and you can expand or minimize it. - PTZ has crazy good angels. Aside from the 360, it can look directly below the Floodlight. - Extensive on-demand controls from the app: Includes turning lights on, 2-way audio, 360 camera spin around, and screenshot button. I honestly don’t have anything against this product, normally I suggest an improvement but as stated I’m a big fan of Eufy products (this will be my 4th active Eufy camera for my home) and don’t have anything against it. On top of a solid a product, they don’t charge monthly fee’s, include on-board memory so no need to add a memory card, and there appears to be an option to configure it to store with a NAS (home network storage device). I believe you can pay for cloud storage services through Eufy, but I have yet to do that. Overall, it seems like a step up from my previous camera and I think it’s a great addition to home security. If you’re on the fence, go for it!

Another great Camera from Eufy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Eufy smart floodlight camera is a really great product. The 2K Video quality is excellent. Installation is easy and the app is straight forward to use. If you already have other Eufy camera or products, this is a great addition. Some of the great features that stand out are the ability to Pan the image and track moving objects once found. The flood light is also very bright so you will have light when you need it. Overall, no complaints, this does require hardwiring for power and needs to have a good wi-fi signal in the mounting location.
