    More than just Security

The houses in my neighborhood have alleyways with back entrance garages, and I just have a standard old double bulb floodlight. So this was a much needed addition. Out of the box it pretty much has everything you need to get it installed, that is of course, if you already have an existing hard-wired floodlight. If you don't have one or at least a pre-wired junction box, you'll definitely need an electrician. Having an existing floodlight however, it's as easy as turning off the power, unscrewing the old light, disconnecting the wires, then connecting the corresponding wires on this unit and mounting it to the junction box. They even supply you with a hook that you can use to hang the floodlight cam from the junction box, leaving you with both hands free to connect the wires. It's one of those minor things that says a lot about the quality of the product. I was at first concerned about physical security of the device, meaning how easy it would be for someone to steal it. There are no proprietary bolts or anything of the sort, just an adhesive backed round cover for the hole the bolt goes through. After actually using that cover though I found it to be much better than I thought. It feels like the same white plastic as the rest of the case, and it fits in the opening just right so that it sits perfectly flush and doesn't leave any space along the sides. That makes it pretty hard to pry off, and that's if you can figure out there's a bolt behind it. I found out the hard way how difficult it is to pry that cover off. I thought I messed something up on the install (I didn't) and had to pull it off. It took me at least 5 minutes of prying to get that cover off. Luckily this camera came with 2 of them since I mangled the first one quite a bit. Before you do all that though you first need set the camera through the Eufy Security App. This is actually my second Eufy product, as I already have their doorbell. That made this whole process so much easier since it uses the same app that I already had for the doorbell. All you have to do is tap the 'Add a Device' button, select your device, scan the QR code on the camera and follow the steps. It couldn't be much easier. The fact that you can have all their security offerings in one app is a huge plus. It's an easy to use app too that lets you manage your devices and has different options for each right on the home page depending on the capabilities of the device. For example, with the floodlight cam there's a button to turn the led lights on without having to click into the device. Whereas the doorbell doesn't have that button since it doesn't have that function. As for functionality, I love this device. The 360 degree cam, the lights, the speaker, the mic, everything. The picture is clear and the app lets you set zones. The AI tracking is really cool too and works great. It works flawlessly with the app too, so you can start streaming at anytime, and then pan around to see whatever you want. The floodlights are nice and bright and can be adjusted and the sound coming out of it is plenty loud when you need to scare someone away, or mess with an unsuspecting friend or neighbor! I really am impressed with how well everything works and looks on this camera. It's versatile too and has uses other than security. At night when you need a little extra light the LEDs are there for you. Forgot if you closed the garage door or put out the trash bins on trash day? Just take a peek. Need help making sure your car is pulled into your garage in the perfect spot? Start the stream and pan it over. I actually use this all the time now since I like to have my car as far back towards the garage door to give me more room up front to work on it. Best of all, you get all of these features and recording with onboard storage for no extra fee! That's one of the things I love about my Eufy Doorbell too. There's no subscription. You get to use all of the features straight out of the box for what you pay for it. They do offer cloud storage if you need it that costs extra, but there's plenty of storage space on board so I haven't found a need for it. If there's one negative I have, it's that the max recording length it lets you set is 2 minutes. You can go into the app and manually start recording video, but if you're not by your phone or dead asleep, you would miss anything that happens after those couple minutes of recording. I wish it gave longer options, especially since it has an option for it to stop recording once movement has stopped. So you rarely actually have a video of the max length. The only other issue I really found is WiFi connectivity, but that's more of an issue with how the network is setup in your home. With the doorbell all the way at the front of my house, and this floodlight cam all the way at the back, it sometimes has trouble getting a good signal when for some reason my router is sending out a weak signal. It's not a big problem for me since I have a smaller house, but if you have a large house you might want to look into beefing up the network. Overall I couldn't be any happier with this floodlight cam. It's put me so much more at ease now knowing I have eyes on my truck and driveway. And with the Security app and how well it integrates their different devices, I'll definitely be looking to add other Eufy products to my home.

After my car was broken into, I needed a porch/front driveway camera. This eufy Security - Floodlight Cam 2 Pro was ideal since it can rotate to detect both front door and my two parking spots adjacent to my porch. I purchased on 19November2022. What I like about it is that it pivots to detect motion. The user can set up the zones of motion, movement sensitivity, and how much detail on the video feed. The mobile app has “events” on the bottom ribbon to see any critters or people within the field of view. The setup was relatively simple. After a year, I had issues with connectivity. My home router/modem was no longer being detected by the Cam2Pro. Unfortunately, after troubleshooting it both with eufy and with my ISP, there’s no solution to getting it on Wi-Fi. I can’t hardwire it to an ethernet cord. This is a problem since I travel several times a year and my wife needs some system in place since we don’t have guard dogs in our house and Albuquerque has property crime issues. I’m past the one-year manufacturer warranty, so any hardware/software issues do not get fixed by eufy. Their chat bot wasn’t much help – other than to say talk to Xfinity. The Cam2Pro only connects to my mobile hot spot from my smartphone, which is impractical since I have a router/modem 15 feet away from the camera. Overall, I would not recommend this camera. It does have climate resilience, and very capable sensors, but I need a dependable connection to my wi-fi if I’m going to keep a security system. Others seem to have had a better experience, so that must mean I have the defective one. Next time, I’m going to get GeekSquadProtection for four years so I can sort this issue out after the manufacturer warranty expires.

This is one of the best security cams I have seen. I literally blow all the others away. I live in the countryside and have the ring camera, and the Eufy cameras and the other brands I have tried. I took my floodlight down put this up and now I can see everything in my front yard and side of my house. I never envisioned this... and it follows its target so they don't walk out of the shot unless they actually go out of the site of the camera. if I have my floodlight on my house, I would replace them all with this. Now as for the service... if you live in the city or someplace where someone can reach the camera easily then I recommend you use the cloud service because everything is stored locally on the device and if they damage or manage to take it, you will lose any video you are hoping to use for the police... if you live in the countryside and your house is almost 20 ft tall like mine then I wouldn't recommend the cloud service and just use the local memory which is about 8GB and yes it holds at least a month work of video from what I can see... and I am still not 50 percent full on the memory. the video is much, better than my Ring camera granted but I don't have the 200+ cameras that just came out so I can't compare it to those. I have the older ones that cost 179$ as of this writing on 1/28/2022 The floodlights themselves are really bright so be careful when you install it... oh, and install is so simple that a kid could do it... it took me 20 minutes to install the things from taking it out the box to making it work... what took the longest was downloading the update for the camera. The only knock I have is you need a decent internet speed to look at it from a remote area or the video is very choppy... I live in the countryside so my internet is not super-fast it is about 20-40MB... those who have great internet will not notice this at all. Also, if you replace your floodlight with this you have to remember not to turn the floodlight switch off on the wall ever or the thing stops working. many times, when I was trying to look at mine it would say offline and I would ask my wife if she turned off the floodlight switch and she would say yes and so it was not good until we got back home to turn it back on. There are a lot of things about this camera that are good but I recommend you get it if you want to see them all in action

Highly recommended!! Simply awesome technology, functionality, and user friendly interface. This product was recommend by my contractors when we decided to Im replace existing flood lights. The coolest thing is that the camera follow the motion, it’s beneficial to be able to watch someone move throughout the yard/outdoor space to keep and eye on your property. The motion sensors lights are customizable, as well as the sensitivity and range settings. Since they are LED lights,m you are able to control the brightness and the color (warm vs cool light). Unlike other products this platform doesn’t require a subscription to have recordings as they are stored locally vs cloud based. They do have both options but it’s great that they let you select the best option for you vs having to pay for cloud storage. The app and notifications are fast. We have 5 of these strategically located around our home and also changed out our door lock to their product. Overall we’ve been so satisfied with their product line and cameras.

Home Security is getting easier and more accessible with companies like Eufy offering a variety of cameras that range from simple to heavy duty. Their new Smart WiFi Floodlight is definitely their most heavy duty yet and it will not disappoint! IMPORTANT NOTE: - For anyone thinking of buying this I want to make sure you understand this; this Eufy Floodlight Camera is a wired camera and is meant to ONLY be installed in a junction box. So the idea is that you would pop out your old floodlight and put in this one as a replacement. This is very common with DIY home security floodlight cameras these days, so just an FYI if you are new to the scene! UNBOXING & INSTALL: - My first impression was just how big this thing is! I mean I get it, it has a 360 degree camera, lights on it, and its supposed to fit on a junction box. But still this thing is the real deal. - The unboxing is fairly simple after that, just some directions and extra parts to help go along with set up. - If you are handy when it comes to electrical, installation should go smoothly for you. Just prepare your junction box, turn off the electricity, connect the wires, fasten the Eufy camera to the junction box, and you are ready! - After that, set up with the Eufy app is really easy. I thought it was a pretty good process overall. PROS: - The first huge pro for me would be there is no subscription for the Eufy cameras in general. You can pay for a monthly subscription to save your recordings in the cloud, but otherwise this Eufy camera saves the recordings to an SD card on its device which you can access via your app! Its just nice not to have a subscription. - The camera itself looks really nice! it has a nice modern design while also making sure its not super noticeable. - Probably the biggest selling point of this camera is the 360 tilting camera and it does not disappoint! Seriously its really easy to use with the app and otherwise will use its smart tech to track things as they are in its field of view. For me this feels like the gold standard for outdoor cameras moving forward, especially with a flood cam which is likely going to be placed with the biggest field of view with all your cameras. - The floodlights also work really well! They are super bright but you can adjust the intensity and they have different angles you can point them at to give you a nice 270 degree floodlight radius or have them all facing forward. - Lastly, the image it self is really quite good! The 2K image is clear and crisp, and provides good clarity in night time or day time. I've been able to clearly see many things on this camera in my yard and have been happy with the results so far. CONS: - The only downside to me is that this camera is limited in only being used with a junction box. It's just such a great camera, it would be nice to be able to use it in places without a junction box. BOTTOM LINE: - Eufy continues to impress with their range of DIY home security cameras with no needed subscription. The Eufy smart floodlight camera is a great addition to its team! The 360 degree tilting camera is a game changer, the floodlights are bright, and the image of the stream is crisp. Just make sure you can install this on your own and it will be a welcomed addition!

    Great concept, almost great execution

Firstly, while Best Buy notes this is a wired camera system, that only refers to the hard wiring for the floodlights. The camera connects wirelessly to your network using any 2.4Ghz router. You will not need (or be able to use) an ethernet wire. This does require an outdoor light electrical box. You’ll also need to be comfortable working with electrical boxes, similar to wiring a wall switch. Eufy has upgraded their floodlight camera to allow for panning and tilting (no zoom). The camera is enclosed in a clear hemisphere under the floodlights. This allows the camera to move without danger of any obstructions or moisture. The downside is that the housing must be kept clean in order to have a clear view. The camera can be set to move manually or to sweep the area on a timed interval. The unit also has motion sensors pointing all around and will automatically move the camera in the direction that motion is detected. The lights are bright and energy efficient. The LED lights cast 3000 lumens, which is equivalent to about 250W worth of output. The LED lights use only a fraction of that. They provide good visibility of my whole front yard. There are 3 panels which can be angled independently of one another. The app will notify you when someone or something crosses the zones that you define. The lights will also turn on, providing notice to whomever is there along with good lighting for the camera to record all the action. The action is auto recorded onto a non-removable local memory card. Cloud recording is available for an additional monthly fee. If no further motion is detected, the lights will go off after a configurable interval which defaults to 30 seconds. The camera will track any objects which are moving across the the field of view and pan to follow them.. Two things I was a bit disappointed about; 1) When it’s dark out, the camera switches to night mode. Night mode is black and white only. When the floodlight goes on, the camera stays in night mode instead of turning back to a color image the way it’s predecessor did. 2) The choices for movement alerts are ‘Human’ and ‘Everything’. When the alerts come up, they appear to determine if there was a vehicle or animal which caused the alert. I would love to be able to filter on vehicle alerts, but the software doesn’t currently allow for that. Overall, this is a good concept and good execution. Build quality looks decent. A few software tweaks would make this a great security system, but it’s very workable in the meantime.

I purchased this item after seeing someone trying to steal my daughter's car. It works perfectly and the views are amazingly clear! I did have to buy an extender which assisted the device in reaching my internet! I would definitely recommend as it tracks humans with precision! I feel more secure knowing that it's there! This is a cool and innovative product that combines an LED floodlight with a 360-degree 2K security camera. Also, it's made by EUFY, so I am confident it will last a long time. Install and set up were very easy. The only issue I had was ensuring it sat flush on the wall. The last thing I wanted was to have rain get between the light and the wall. To fix this issue, I just had to trim some of the foam off the back of the housing. (As you can see in my picture). Aside from that, everything else was great. The LED floodlight is bright, and the camera is extremely clear. The best part of the camera is the smart features. The camera position is fully adjustable, it tracks the movement of its subject, and it has enough local storage to last a few days. Also, I was able to use the app to adjust the brightness and color temperature of the floodlight. Which means I can also use it to illuminate my yard without blinding my guests. Additionally, I liked being able to have google turn the floodlight on and off. Overall, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

This feels like a heavy duty piece of equipment. its got a good weight to it, and after mounting it, it feels really solid. Setup was really easy through the app, it took minutes. Physical installation was super easy too. It was no different than a dumb motion sensor or a ceiling light. Customization in the app is pretty straight forward. Make sure to set up your default 1 position. I didn't at first, so the app was always pointed backwards into the house.. once i set it to the view as seen in the screenshots it stayed there. The light is very illuminating. You can control the warmth and brightness which is nice if you are close to others where a maxed out light can be annoying security pan and object tracking are nice features to have. i've learned there's a rabbit and a possum that lives in my yard under the shed. One issue i have is there is no scheduling for when to monitor. You have to remember to manually snooze alerts if you plan on being in the line of sight. for example, when my kids are playing in the yard i don't want my phone blowing up with alerts and nonstop recording them. It'd be good to have a feature to set a time on when to monitor or tie it to geofencing like other brands. secondly, which seems like a basic feature to implement is just have the light turn on when detecting motion, similar to the basic flood sensor that it replaced. overall, lot of features, lacking some basic conveniences, and a really solid good quality camera.

INTRO: I have been seeing Eufy cameras in stores and online for a while now but I never considered them. That was a mistake because I’m loving the Eufy camera I now have. This is by far the best video quality I have ever seen in a security system. I have a few different brands to compare but I’ll get to reviewing this Eufy Security Floodlight Cam Pro 2k. INSTALLATION: Everything from wire nuts to hardware was included in the box and detailed instructions was also in the box. After downloading the Eufy Security app you will also find the installation guide to help. As an Electrician I think this is convenient to have because it helped me install the Eufy Security Floodlight Cam Pro the way the manufacturer intended. I had everything installed after reading the instructions in under 20 minutes. *To make installation easier be sure to use the included USB to setup your camera before you mount it. APP: The app is simple and straight forward. All I did was sign up and followed the prompts to add the camera to the app. You will be able to view the live video and pan it 360 degrees. Your recorded images will be in 2k for crisp and clear playback. I can turn on the lights or view the live feed using Google. In the app settings I customized the sensitivity of the camera’s motion detections and more. The bright LED lights can be adjusted and also turn on and off from dusk to dawn. RECOMMENDED FEATURES: I really like: The tracking feature. Once it finds the moving object it follows and record until it’s out of view. I also like the dusk to dawn feature for the lights. I will always have light when it’s needed. I can also change it to motion if I need it. All can be set on the app on my phone. SECURITY CONCLUSION; I’m very happy with this Floodlight camera from Eufy. It exceeded my expectations so far and can’t wait to use it everyday.

Love this little guy! Worked like a champ, easy to setup when manually adding the ID. I have Starlink for internet and the internet went down for about 13 minutes a week after I installed this Floodlight Cam; I was worried that I might have to get up on a ladder and reset it; but after I updated the Starlink software, this little guy reconnected on it's own. Great picture, and I have it set for only human movement. Works great.

This can only be hardwired to a motion sensor light like above your garage or wherever you may have one. So if you don’t have something like that, be aware you’ll need to get one installed. Once it’s installed though, this thing is BRIGHT and tracks movement in a full circle. Perfect for monitoring the corner of a building or house.

The camera quality has a very nice clear view. The rotation camera captures every detail along with sound. You can set-up to your liking with a downloaded app. To make adjustments to your tags. It has multiple usser access and the light is very bright. I can see clearly across the street plus the sides. It's a bit pricey, but once you see the quality it brings you peace of mind. Also a electrician might be needed for your install location.

I put this over my garage for a light/camera and used the existing wires that my old light fixture was on. Works amazing, gives me the option to control the zones, animals/human, has 360 coverage, covers basically my whole street from both sides and front. Zoom and sound is also good. So far so good.

The video quality is great. The flood light is great. But the camera is very inconsitant with recordings. Weve had this camera a couple days and have been tweeking the setting since then. My hisband left for work at 2am and the camera didnt record him walking to his vehicle at all. May tweek it a lottle more over the next couple days and if not sstisfied will return it. Installation and set up was super easy though.

Ordered item and received it the next day. Best Buy always has one of the best shipping processes. As for the camera, I love it. Very easy to set up. Installation was made easy with the included strap so you didn’t need a 2nd person. I love the the ability to pan the camera 360 degrees. I can monitor my entire back yard with just one camera. The flood light is amazingly bright. In fact, I had to reduce the brightness a lot. I paid the full price because I knew it would be worth it but it went on sale almost a month later and Best Buy gladly refunded the price difference. Great product. Great retailer.
