We got this outdoor camera to add to our security setup, though we mostly use it to look at people coming to the door or check on the dog running around. The PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) feature is especially useful for tracking the entire yard instead of honing in on a specific area. It has a solar power source that does a very good job of keeping it fully charged even with constant use. I put it on a side of the house that gets a lot of sun and I've had no problems with the charge as of yet. It's nearly winter and I know cold weather charging can present problems, but that'll have to wait until we have sustained cold streaks. It comes in a very compact box, little to no waste, and not a ton of garbage to cycle through. Mounting is very simple and straight forward for both the camera and the solar cell. I put the camera on a corner of the house and the solar cell on a south facing wall using the included cable to connect. It does local storage for video meaning you don't have a subscription service! I hate paying for something over and over again so this was a welcome sign to me. The app is okay. It gives you control of the camera and the settings just fine. Easy to install on an iPhone and easy to connect and configure the camera. It is a little slow and some things aren't as intuitive as they could be so I dock a star for the app itself. However, that is something that can be improved continually so here's hoping they listen to the feedback and do so. The picture is very crisp. I wasn't sure what to expect at 2K because 4K is so ingrained into sales and tech notices you're never sure. But it's actually impressive and gives us exceptional clarity of our entire front yard. Zooming works as you'd expect, the more you zoom the more remnants and less clarity you get, but that's never been an issue because you can get a very clear picture even when zoomed in close. It's been mounted and operated in thunderstorms, light snow flurries, and nearly 100F heat and I've had no problem with the hardware. Speaking of thunderstorms, the night vision is impressive as well. Clear and pretty good exposure of light to get details, especially of things nearer to the camera. We have a street light across the street and we've run into a few issues when it's pitch black out and we move the camera between that and where the street light is. There's a couple seconds of confusion as it tries to figure out the best picture and it tends to settle on the nightvision. I won't dock it points for that though because I've not seen a camera that can go between the two smoothly that isn't professional grade. It has 2-way audio that is useful and clear. You can speak to somebody by the camera (like people at the door or in our case, the dog) and they can respond back. Sound is clear as you'd expect and I've not even had any issues with wind noise. I do like to listen to the storm as I watch it. As with all network sound, there is a slight delay between talking and when they will hear you and vice versa. While I'm home on the local network, it is very minimal. Using cellular data is increases quit a bit and you get that old, long distance delay where you sometimes speak over each other. It has smart tracking of movement, but I've not utilized it much to be honest. Where it's placed, it mainly tracks cars going by and the occasional walker. I disabled alerts for the most part, but can see where that would be useful to some. Overall, I'm very happy with the camera and it is a useful security tool, but a fun toy as well. Easy to install, configure, and operate. I'm thoroughly impressed with the picture. I think I could put one of these on opposite corners of my house and have full view of nearly every part I care about. That's impressive and certainly makes it easy to maintain.

I have been Eufy products for years and they get better and better! This camera leaves nothing to desire. Operation is outstanding. It doesn’t miss a beat. It captures everything that happens on my street in both directions. The solar charging works great if it hasn’t been raining for a week. I would recommend to anyone!!!

For the most part, it works well. But I’m constantly getting a message saying like to buffer because it won’t show the image. And that’s concerning. Also, it does buffer the video plays stops and plays again.

Love the camera! I would suggest best on market for the tracking feature. The app covers almost everything you need to adjust system. No monthly cost or gimmick like Arlo turned into.
