Lock is easy to install and easy to configure to your network. It works as described, but you will be lucky to get 3-4 months of battery even with limited use. There are better options at this price point

I had been looking at smart locks in recent years waiting for one that finally checks all the boxes to which this lock by Eufy does exactly that. Firstly, with the installation this was much easier than anticipated. The instructions are clear and getting everything installed took less than 10 minutes. The calibration was the part that is finicky, but after understanding to fully open and close the door during calibration everything went much more smoothly. The app even has a video showing the installation process, which was extremely helpful! The aesthetics of this lock are very sleek as everything has that matte black finish that blends in perfectly. Some may complain that the lock is plastic, but when mounted you won`t even notice the difference. The keypad is great as I love the actual physical buttons in order to avoid any malfunctions that come with the touch key models. I have not had any issues yet with water resistance and it appears to have an extremely sound seal that I do not anticipate any issues. Then finally when it came down to the actual use and function all features worked absolutely flawlessly with my iOS devices. The auto lock and unlock are a major component of why this model is so great and I am extremely pleased that it has worked bug free. Additionally, the alerts have been working perfect for me as well as I have not had any false alerts so it is to the point where I trust it nearly 100%. As mentioned earlier the keypad has worked flawlessly and I have had no issues with using it or providing temporary codes. I also have not had any issues with the battery so hopefully it holds up to the full year of use as advertised. Overall, I really don`t think you can go wrong purchasing this smart lock from Eufy as nearly all elements from the appearance to setup and use are right on par with other high end models. Eufy is constantly at the forefront as the perfect budget product in a multitude of categories and it is no different here. The multitude of features are exactly what you need and I really can`t think of much else you could expect out of a smart lock.

I recently purchased the Eufy security doorbell camera, and I regret every penny spent. The product itself is an absolute disaster. The camera quality is subpar, the motion detection is inconsistent, and the app frequently crashes, making the entire system unreliable. But the worst part is the customer service, or rather the lack thereof. When I encountered issues, I reached out to their customer service, hoping for some assistance. What I got instead was a series of unprofessional and dismissive responses. It felt like they didn't care about resolving my problems and were more interested in getting me off the phone as quickly as possible. Every interaction left me more frustrated than the last. To anyone considering buying from Eufy, I strongly advise against it. Their products are poorly made, and their customer service is nothing short of horrible. Save yourself the headache and choose a more reliable company. Eufy is not worth your time or money. Don't make the same mistake I did-stay away from this brand! If you guys want to experience zero customer service and a horrible purchase from a scam company, this is the place to go. They come across as if they care in their responses, urging you to call them, but don’t be fooled. Their customer service is abysmal, and they don’t genuinely address your concerns. Avoid this company at all costs. This highlights the discrepancy between their seemingly caring responses and the actual customer experience.

I feel safe now whenever were not home & forget to lock it manually coz i know eufy smart lock will do the work & lock the door automatically

Ive tried august, wyze, and even the level lock+ which is much more expensive, and this lock is the fastest and most reliable i have used. Highly recommend especially for the price.

Stop responding after 5 Months. Not sure what was the issue, maybe the battery died when it actually was supposed to past 365 Days. Out of the return window :(

I love this product it will automatically open the door when came near to door from outside and lock once the is closed .

The door is lock is good but I hit a problem on my door it didn’t fit cuz the door is was old fashion

Purchased as a way of not having to hand out a bunch of house keys. The idea was fine and it worked for a bit but the batteries die way to fast.

Extremely well made unit as per most things from Eufy(Anker). Extremely easy to install, just follow the directions, use the adapters, and you will be ready to go in no time. So we already have a few Eufy Camera and a door bell cam and this complements them so well. So once you download the app and set up everything you will need to calibrate the lock and for some reason on android i was getting all kinds of issues and didnt know why. eventually it worked but its a case of the Android App being less polished then the one for iOS which is a shame. Once up and running it works great. You still get the manual deadbolt on the inside so you can still lock manually and unlock incase you have issues. The app is great, you can unlock and lock your door from anywhere. Many others you need to be on the same wifi network but not this one. i can literally open the app and do it anywhere. such a good feature. You can also send unlock commands to people you trust but dont want them to have coeds so they can let themselves in your home. and you also get lock alerts, that way you know when the doors is being used. All great features. I would have given this 5 starts but for one reason and thats proximity lock/unlock only works with IOS. This does not work on Android at all and its a shame that such a great feature is missing for the millions of android users. Hopefully this can be added soon

The Eufy R10 WiFi Deadbolt is a breeze to setup and connect and works flawlessly so far. The lock came packaged with everything needed for installation except a screwdriver and painter's tape (and a drill and drill bit if you wish to use screws to mount the keypad instead of the included die-cut 3M VHB mounting tape). The tape is super strong, so I went that route and didn't drill holes in my door trim in case I later decide on something different. Installation was extremely simple and absolutely something anyone can accomplish in just a few minutes. It took me less than 15 minutes to install everything, including a little filing of the striker plate due to bumpy lock operation. If the bolt of your lock doesn't currently move into and out of the striker plate (metal plate on the door jamb) smoothly, you'll need to address that issue before installing any smart lock, not just the Eufy, as their motors work best and batteries last longest when operation is easy and friction free. Once installed, I downloaded the Eufy app to complete the setup process. In retrospect, I would recommend downloading the app before installation, as it offers a nice installation video to help get you started. Once your account is set up you click "Add Device," then select the R10 Smart Lock, and it asks you to select a network (must be a dedicated 2.4 GHz network) and enter your network password. After that, you simply press and hold the button on the lock until you hear a beep, the app connects to the lock via Bluetooth (you may be prompted for permission), and setup and calibration are completed in just a few seconds following the prompts in the app. I really like the looks of the lock and keypad. It is sleek and modern, and size is as compact as it can be considering the FOUR batteries it contains. Eufy claim a battery life of one year, so battery costs aren't going to break the bank. The unit is well-made and feels quite solid. It should prove very durable under normal conditions. The mobile app is well laid out and intuitive. It allows you to add household members as well as authorize guest access by providing a temporary access code. Household members get all the features like geofence enabled locking and unlocking, notifications of lock status, etc. The app allows setting several other settings as well, such as toggling lock sounds on and off, setting auto lock delay, etc. If you are into using voice assisted home automation, the Alexa integration works extremely well. Locking just requires a voice command, while unlocking requires a verbal PIN to prevent a thief from shouting "Alexa, open the front door" and gaining access to your home. I can't imagine Google Home integration being much different, One glaring omission is the lack of Apple HomeKit support. I like HomeKit for things that use geofencing. Apple's position data is much more accurate within their own ecosystem. Overall, I think this is a great product that should work well for almost anyone. If you decide to buy one, I hope you like it!

The eufy smart lock is a good lock, but it can be a bit tricky to setup and could be improved upon in a few areas. When I opened the packaging I thought the lock was made of metal by its appearance, but it’s actually made of hard plastic. The instructions and materials are well laid out and organized. The deadbolt has a design where those on the outside of your home will not even know you have a smart lock. Your original smart lock on the outside of your door will remain the same. You only have to remove the tumbler/knob on the inside of your door. After removing the inside portion of my deadbolt, I used the same screws to screw the plate onto the door. The screw head from my original screws were too small and would not secure the metal plate. They include 2 metal adapters that will make your screw head larger. The bottom portion of the deadbolt has wings that you pull out. After aligning it onto the plate, you push the wings in to secure it. The wings don’t secure it all the way, so it comes preinstalled with 3M tape on the top portion of the lock. I don’t care for this too much, because I have a feeling that when it’s time to remove the lock if I ever decide to upgrade or replace it, it might peal the paint off the door.I wish they could have come up with a better design in this regards. As I got near the end of the installation process using the app, it kept giving me an error that the calibration failed. I put the lock in the lock position and in the unlock position as I followed the app. I continued to get the calibration failed warning. I then got frustrated. After my final attempt I saw where it says to also open and close the door as you lock and unlock the tumbler manually. After making sure the door was fully closed as I locked it, and fully open as I unlocked it, the installation process was a success. I already had the eufy app with their floodlight cameras, so the deadbolt easily integrates with the app. I can now receive notifications from my eufy floodlights and the deadbolt all from the same app. Creating a pin code for others to use is easy to create using the app, and the keypad is easy to install. Overall, I’m happy with the unit. I would hope they perhaps come up with a design where the deadbolt does not have to use 3M tape at all. Being able to have the option to use it or use screws like the keypad.
