    Solid quality for decent price

This review is for the single camera and monitor bundle. Set up is fool-proof: plugged both devices in and they work and are paired up. I imagine setting up additional cameras with the monitor is straightforward. There is no WiFi/SSID which is what we wanted. No Internet/mobile connectivity means it cannot be hacked. Range is great, audio and video quality and clear and the camera rotation gives you full view of the room. The mounting bracket for the camera isn't ideal for setting them up high in corners but because of it's compact size any shelf would do the trick. Will update review if we decide to get multiple cameras.

The eufy Security Spaceview Baby Monitor was a breeze to set-up and I had zero issues. The picture quality to me is great and I like the range of full view so nothing goes unnoticed. My baby loves the lullabies and it helps him fall asleep faster so that really is a plus. The battery is good and I don't lose signal at all in all corners of my home. It also alerts and notifies me so that really helps. Overall the eufy Security Spaceview Baby Monitor works great and I recommend it.

    Fantastic Camera and Monitor

This is an absolutely fantastic baby monitor. The picture quality is great. It's only 720p, but it's a small enough screen that that is more than enough for a nice clear picture. And the night vision mode is actually pretty decent as well. I've tried a couple of other baby monitors where the night vision is pretty terrible. But with this camera, you actually get a pretty nice picture that still shows enough detail to be useful. As far as features go, this has just about everything you would expect. First off, pan and tilt work great. There's hardly any lag between button push and camera movement. It has built in lullabies, which work pretty nice and aren't too loud. The sound alert is a useful feature where it will alert you if the sound goes above a certain threshold. Useful if say, you don't want to keep the volume up because of something like white noise, but you still want to be able to know when your baby cries. There is even an alarm feature, where you can set an alarm clock to give you an alert at a certain time. Overall, they pack a lot of useful features into this little monitor. One feature that I think is missing, is Wifi. I was expecting to be able to load an app onto my phone and be able to view the camera from anywhere, but I was disappointed to find out this is not a connected product. That can be either a plus or a minus depending on what you're looking for in a monitor, so I won't deduct any points for it. On thing I found kind of odd is the power cables they provided. Onewas really long, and one was really short. The long one is useful for the camera, if for instance you want to wall mount it or place it high up on a dresser away from the power socket. However, I can't for the life o me figure out why the other cord is so short. It's about 3, maybe 4 feet. Most people I would think are going to place the monitor near their bedside, which this cord will be too short for in most cases. I imagine most people will need either an extension cord or a longer usb cord. Lastly, the battery life in the monitor is great. I have left it unplugged for several hours and it still has a full charge when I go to plug it in at night. In conclusion, this is an all around great baby monitor that has many useful features and great picture quality both in daylight and night vision modes. You'll probably have to provide at least one longer usb cord for the monitor unit, but overall you will be very satisfied.

Anker makes great products at an affordable price. This baby monitor is no exception. The monitor itself is battery powered so it is convenient that you can take it around from room to room as you move around the house. One of my favorite features is that you can zoom in and move the camera around left/right and up/down. This is a great feature if you are using it in a large room and want to be able to see around the entire room. It was very easy to setup out of the box and comes with mounting hardware if you are going to mount it to the wall. Possibly one of the coolest things to me is that it includes several lullabies that you can turn on and off from the monitor. This is very useful during nap time. The nigh vision works great for watching your baby during the night. I have not found any downfalls to this baby monitor and would highly recommend it for anyone with a baby or toddler.

I wanted to love the Eufy monitor but I like it but don't love it. While it is a good starting monitor, it could be better. The pros: It was easy to set up compared to other monitors I used. The zoom in and out feature worked very well so being able to get a closer look at baby. The microphone works very well to be able to reassure baby with our words without having to go in each time. The size of the screen was great and easily portable. I love that you can plug it to recharge when needed. Being able to adjust volume and slightly adjust camera through the screen is very helpful without having to go back into baby's room. I also enjoy that it has a visual of the baby's sound even with very low volume. The cons: I wish there was a way to connect it to an app so I can check on baby from wherever I am and not just the monitor. So if I'm away and baby is with sitter, I can pop in and check that he's sleeping. The picture looks a lot more clear online when it is in night mode than in my reality. Daytime mode is clear but we keep the room dark for naps so the night mode is key. Overall, it's good. I think if my night mode was clearer, I would love it. But it's not your primary use, then it may not be a big concern like it is for me.

Super easy setup. Just need to charge the monitor and position the camera where you would like it. It comes with a mount for the corner of the room. We used command strips (not included) as to not make any holes in the sheetrock in case we wanted to move the camera later on. I love that this camera has PTZ pan, tilt, zoom. So we can follow our little guy around the room. The picture is very clear and the monitor is wireless with great battery life. We went 3 days be for needing to recharge again. But this will very on usage. And when testing how far I could go with the monitor in hand and it stay connected to the camera I had to walk out side of the house. It had full signal in every room of our home. It wasn't in till I walked out side and went to the far side of the pool in till I lost the first bar of signal. Very impressed and we just love seeing our little guy when doing stuff around the house.

    A Grandparent's Dream

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Eufy Security SpaceView Pro Baby Monitor is a grandparents’ dream. It arrives paired and ready to use straight out of the box. The instruction manual is written in easily understood layman’s terms. The monitor and camera are user-friendly with a limited number of buttons and the entire system operates without a Wi-Fi connection. I was in love even before I took it out of the box! The camera and monitor are very standard in appearance and all necessary components including mounting hardware are included. The camera does not have to be mounted in order to use it. It can be placed on a flat surface and carried from room to room. There is a rubbery material on the bottom of the camera that keeps it from sliding around on slick surfaces. I wish this same material was on the bottom of the equally portable monitor. The camera is considered secure because it uses a technology that constantly changes the frequency that the data is transmitted over while in use. The camera and monitor act as a closed loop and only transmit to each other. The downside of not using Wi-Fi is that there is no app available to enable monitoring away from home. The only way to monitor the camera is via the included monitor. There is the option to expand the number of cameras linked to the monitor by up to four. The signal range is advertised as “up to 1000 feet” across an open area and I found that as I placed more obstacles (walls, furniture, floors of the house) between the monitor and camera my audio and video clarity started to be affected at around an 800 sq. ft. distance. You are able to control the cameras movements and can pan from left to right or up and down allowing you to monitor almost an entire room. This is a huge upgrade on other stationary units. There is also the option to zoom in. The 5 inch screen on the monitor is fairly large and the image is clear and in full color. There is a night vision mode that transmits the picture in black and white. It has 2-way audio that usually transmits very clearly. I did experience some buzzing/background noise when leaving my house and increasing the distance between the camera and monitor. Be aware that you are only able to view your baby in real time. This monitoring system is not equipped to record or playback video. It can also measure the temperature in the room the camera is located in (fairly accurate within 2-3 degrees), can alert you once the temp exceeds a limit you preset, plays 5 different lullabies, and has an alarm clock feature. After the initial complete charge I was able to use the equipment for approximately 7 hours before it required recharging. Battery life is dependent on conditions of use. Sleep mode extends the batteries life by turning off the screen after a preset number of minutes. A sound alert can be set to alert you when the noise level in a room exceeds a preset level. While crying definitely sets off the alert, so does loud laughter, things falling, and other loud noises that occur near the camera. Be aware that the monitor will make a loud noise when it is located too near the camera. This baby monitor will allow you to have a peace of mind knowing the technology is difficult to hack and that unlike most other video monitors on the market the dependability of your internet connection does not factor into its use or performance.

As nice as it would be to have this baby cam connected to our phones, the disconnection from the internet entirely is really nice for our piece of mind. We need to carry around the monitor gadget but that's not a huge deal. It's the same thing everyone has been doing with baby monitors (before cameras) forever now. Setup was a piece of cake. The monitor and camera were already paired so I just charged up the monitor as recommended and was ready to go. Hanging this camera on the wall was quite simple as well. It comes with drywall anchors if you need them and the plate just screws into the wall and the camera attaches to it. I attached mine to the wall but the way the anchor plate is shapes leads me to believe you can mount this in the corner and have the camera hanging upside down on the mount plate but don't quote me on that one. Setting on the monitor are pretty limited in a good way. There's not a whole lot you need to do so it's nice that it "just works". You can adjust some of the settings like how long the screen stays awake but I think that was one of the only things my wife really cared to change (she wanted the screen to always stay on). Default settings work pretty well but there are a few options you may want to play around with. Functionally, we continue the "just works" aspects of this camera and monitor. The monitor sleeps with the press of a button (or a timer if you have that option still enabled) and wakes up with the same press and does so quickly. Moving the camera around is as simple as pressing the arrow keys. I wish this was a little more responsive. It seems like you need to hold the button for a fraction of a second and then the camera jumps a bit more than I wanted but I also think I got used to the delay pretty quick. Picture quality is pretty good for a 720p camera. I wish we'd have a higher resolution for this price point seeing as it's 2021 and cameras (1080p cameras) are everywhere now so I don't image it would have added too much to the cost but it's good enough and doesn't NEED to be much better for what it's used for. It just would be nice. I don't have any issues seeing the baby and that's all you really need. The sound on the monitor is fine too. The sensitivity of the camera is good enough. Our home isn't crazy big so we can hear the baby from the bedroom if she really starts crying but the monitor will pick up if she's having a little talk with herself or something. You can also choose between 5 different lullaby tracks (or play them all randomly) for 30 minutes. And if you want to talk to you baby, there's a speaker on the camera where you can talk to from the monitor. Overall, this is my second baby monitor camera and I like this one better than the first one. The screen looks good. The functions are simple and "just work" out of the box. It doesn't blow me away with anything but I'm also not unhappy about anything really either (the bump to 1080p, again, would just be nice but isn't necessary). If this is in your budget and you're looking for something that just works with little fuss, you might want to look at this camera.

Eufy space view baby monitor is so amazing! The camera view is crisp & clear so is the audio. I loved the fact that I had a wider view of the nursery & it has tilt option to choose the perfect location to get the perfect angle view without having to be on the crib, I got to use the audio to talk to my baby when he woke up while I was home alone with him & I was in the shower, normally I would put him in his car seat & but him in the restroom with me, I was able to talk to him while in the shower it was so awesome as mother I felt some relief of not having to rush out of the shower half wet to check the on him, night view was also very good & it does not require WiFi! I would recommend this to any parent .

Really like this as a baby monitor. The quality of the picture even in low light is excellent. The quality of the audio is also excellent. I like that this does NOT connect to your home WiFi so it is totally secure. The receiving monitor works from a good distance through closed doors as well. I would recommend this to other baby daddy's and mamas.

Easy To Use, Mediocre Picture Quality

The eufy Spaceview is a no frills, easy to use, quick to setup baby monitor that is perfect for anyone looking for a camera that "just works." It has some downfalls, but overall, it's a solid performer. Setup is a literal "plug and play" situation; the monitor comes pre-synced to the camera, so powering both on is all that's required to get up and running. They've included some mounting hardware that can be mounted in a couple of ways (though not too common, I wish they would've included tripod threading on the bottom of the cam to increase potential mounting options). That's it; there's not much else to it, which is a good thing because it just works like it's supposed to (which is more than I can say for some of the alternatives from Motorola, for instance). The monitor works incredibly well from a functionality standpoint. There is zero lag (which again is present in many of the alternatives) and the settings are straight forward and easy to use. The powered camera is a nice touch as well; this lets you rotate the camera to get a different look at the environment. I probably won't use it much, but if I ever need to, it'll be great to have. There are a couple of downsides here. First, they're using a micro USB connector for power. Being 2021 at this point, that's fairly inexcusable in my opinion. USB C is much more convenient and should've been used here, but in reality, it's mostly just an issue for the monitor since the camera will be plugged in and left alone. Another issue is the picture quality. It's merely ok, but comparing this to modern cameras like a Nest, it seems quite dated. Additionally, the field of view on the camera is quite narrow, so while the camera is powered so you can adjust the angle with ease, you're well served to mount the camera with some distance from the crib. Finally, there's a light on the camera which I wasn't able to find an off switch for; since this is a baby monitor, this should be a setting so you can turn this light off if desired. Finally, there really aren't many extras here. One feature that's feature is a remote viewing protocol, so you're locked in to using the monitor only. eufy says this is done in the interest of security, so it's a valid trade off, but one worth mentioning for those expecting to use their phones to view the camera. Overall, this is a solid unit. It's very easy to use, and the monitor works very well. You won't get great picture quality, but it's likely a tradeoff given "closed circuit" nature of this unit, which has an incredibly solid range. It doesn't contain any extra frills (like remote viewing) but it does its job exactly as you expect it to. If you're looking for a straight forward and easy to use monitor, this is an incredibly solid option.

The baby monitor is a huge upgrade over older generation video baby monitors. The camera is easy to set up. The 720p video quality is excellent. The hand unit screen is very clear, sharp, and compact in size, with an intuitive interface.  Signal reception is good everywhere inside the house and outside in the yard. I was able to maintain a video link from 100 ft away with the monitor on the far side of the home.  The only signal issues were when the brick chimney was in between the camera and the hand unit. Overall, this is a solid product that is a leap over previous baby monitors that were available 5 years ago. If you haven't upgraded since your first child or are expecting your first, this product is worth investing in.

Excellent little camera which resembles a tiny astronaut in a space suit! which is maybe where they came up with the name "space view" The range of view for this was great easily covering the entire room The monitor is slim similar to a smart phone but just a bit thicker and the screen is a perfect size with excellent 720p picture. For the time I've used this from a full charge it's lasted the entire time I've used it in a days time before putting it on the charger. It also has a cool kickstand so you can sit it up and not have to hold it or it lay flat when putting it down. The only other thing I'd want to upgrade is to use osb-c which most electronics are moving to nowadays. Overall It's a really nice monitor for anyone on the lookout for some peace of mind when it comes to their little one One thing that I think could enhance and bring up to date the features is giving the monitor touch screen features rather than having to use the arrow buttons on the side as well as pinch or pull on screen to zoom in or out. The application is really nice with vibrant color and easy to manipulate functions to go through all of the different processes. It comes with 2-way talk features allowing you to hear your little one as well as speak to them even when not in the room to console or get their attention. Unlike many other monitors this uses RF frequency which eliminates predators from hacking through WiFi intruding on your cameras access.

I wanted to love this. I have one of those wall mounted baby monitors you pair with your phone for the newest baby and was looking forward to this camera to use in the toddlers room since he will be on his own in his room for the first time. Set up seemed easy but the stand feels uneven and has to sit just right to be level. I don't mind the base unit for viewing since we only use this when we are home however I don't always feel like this switches from normal to night vision the best. Sometimes the screen is just too dark and I have to shut it off and restart to get it to view correctly. Works great during the day for monitoring when he's up from his nap or if he's in his room and being too quiet. It does the job but doesn't go above and beyond in any way. If you need a super basic kid cam then this could be a good option however for the price point you might have better options available. I would maybe consider repurposing this as a security cam for the entryway at night time but don't see long term use on the toddlers room.
