It picks up a lot of things other than people or animals. It gets set off by any slight movement of my outdoor ceiling fan and the covers on my porch furniture. This only happens if it is windy though. It gets annoying getting alerts all the time but I would rather get alerts than not.

Won't work w/ a mechanical bell. No cust support.

I chose the Eufy C31 because it could be used with our existing mechanical doorbell chime. I do not want an electronic/digital chime. I followed all instructions to replace our basic doorbell button with the Eufy C31; first, upgrading the mechanical chime's transformer to one with proper specs. The old doorbell mechanical chime still worked. I replaced the doorbell button with the camera. I followed all instructions in the app. The Eufy no longer chimed, but our mechanical chime would not trigger, either. After 3 days with Eufy customer support, their solution was that I needed to buy the Eufy chime add-on... $40. They actually told me that C31 does NOT work with mechanical chimes. I'm not sure if there is simply a problem with the C31's software or a problem with the app software setting up the C31... at the very least, customer service is lacking. I've returned the Eufy C31. Another brand video doorbell is now installed and working with my mechanical chime.
